We needed to get away from work and the busy schedule of home. This was the perfect place to relax, sit at the beach and just unwind. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Kitchen staff is awesome! Krystal goes above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your meal. Nelly in watersports will take good care of you!

Great staff, excellent service, staff goes above and beyond. You will not be disappointed. The ocean views are incredible. So nice to wake up to the beautiful sunrise, and amazing sunsets at night. Staff is extremely helpful. Can plan any activity

Everything is amazing with this resort. I’ll never stay anywhere else when I travel to St. Lucia. I just keep coming back to Bay Gardens Beach Resort! Teddy is the best bartender and Ms. P is amazing, along with the rest of the staff!

Please note that there is a 9PM curfew in St. Lucia. We arrived at 4PM, our room was still not ready.  So while we waited,  we ate at their restaurant HiTide which served us very poor quality food and the tomato in my salad was actually rotten.  So for dinner we went out to a different place outside of this hotel.  The next day while relaxing on the beach,  the manager Cindie approached us saying we needed to "talk about your behavior". My husband and I are Frontline medical professionals in our 30s that have been treating critical covid patients.  So for someone to talk to us like we are children and while we're relaxing on the beach was extremely unprofessional,  but this was just the beginning.  We were woken up at 4AM two nights in a row by a fire alarm which nobody was in a hurry to shut off. When asking Olivia at the front desk about it,  we were told that it wasn't their fault.. as she rolled her eyes at us,  gave us attitude and later yelled and cursed at us.  Their shuttle only takes you to restaurants that they are affiliated with and the only 2 options are Indian and Italian.  Although there are many other places open,  they do not allow their guests to go there. Also to note,  we waited for their shuttle to pick us up but at least 3 times nobody showed up and we had to walk anyway.  In terms of booking tours,  same story. They want you to only spend your money with them; control where you eat, which tours you book.  Aside from Saturday night movie night,  there is no other entertainment.  Not even music by the pool or beach.  On the beach there are vendors harassing you and they do nothing about it. We spoke with the general manager (who is very nice and accommodating) which smoothed things out very temporarily... until we got stopped by hotel security walking down the beach.  They told us we were not allowed to do that as we are on quarantine. Huge surprise for us as nowhere does it say that this country requires a quarantine (not to mention we are vaccinated). What the previous post said is true,  it's like a prison. Also you have a kitchen in the room but they don't let you go to the market. They do food shopping for you but charge you 20% fee, are you kidding me???? There was a complaint about stray cats in one of the reviews and they said they took care of it- that's a lie.  PROS: Beach is nice,  rooms get cleaned well.  Beatrice,  who arranged tours,  is phenomenal, she deserves a promotion. Overall,  wait until the curfew is lifted to go to st. Lucia but def do not stay in this money hungry prison hotel.

I have stayed at BGBR several times and thought that it was great, but when I called to inquire about staying there for 10 days over the Memorial day week it did not sound good. The persom\n that took my phone call was not very friendly and I was told that I have to book online previously I always made reservations by phone. The reason for doing it that way is because I could get a certain room because I knew the layout of the property. I believe that I spoke to Erin and she asked if I was aware of the Covid guide lines, I said that I was and had been vacinated and tested. I wanted a ocean view suite with a kitchen. She informed me that with the dine around plan some of the restraunts were on limited hours and we could not walk to them but HAD to use a covid certified Taxi. I then said that was one of the reasons that I wanted a kitchen to avoid that problem and that I could buy groceries ay the local G&L market that we know well. Now I was told that I could not leave the property to go to the store and they would have to go for me with a 20% surcharge! So you are not allowed to walk outside the property...sounds like you are in a minimum security prison not a relaxing resort. All this was told to me with an attitude I did not feel comforatable with sorry BGBR I will spend my $ some place else. The pictures in the adverts show smiling people and kids splashing in the water I wonder if they make you wearprison clothes with a number on your vacation? Sorry BGBR you lost a good customer.
