Events team at Hilton La Romana ????

Elena D on Apr 27, 2024

My sisters and I all met in Hilton La Romana for a getaway vacation. We had such a great time! One of the highlights of our trip was painting and decorating straw sun hats with different flowers! This was such a cute activity and an awesome souvenir

Hello Family! (Hold onto your wallet)

rickdb2001 on Apr 27, 2024

After recovering from knee replacement surgery and a death in the family, I needed a quick getaway to reset. Largely, La Romana was the perfect place to relax, recharge and enjoy ourselves. The beach is lovely, the food good enough and the staff are helpful, kind and friendly. I have one complaint and one annoyance that took away from the stay a little, but in general I’d recommend La Romana as a great place to turn yourself off and reset. My experience is darkened by the arrival procedure. After a flight on Frontier from Orlando (Enough to stress you out on even a good day) we were greeted warmly by our “concierge” who cheerfully escorted us to our private “Enclave” area where we offered a buffet and drinks. And then… the timeshare pitch began. I wasn’t having it. Yes, I’m willing to forgo resort credits to not get pitched… After I shut the pitch down, someone else took us to our room where our bags would arrive in “10 minutes”. We waited, and waited. Finally, I walked out to the lobby and got our bags myself, 45 minutes after getting to our room. It seems that you don’t get luggage delivery if you don’t get the timeshare pitch. We learned during our walks through the lobby that if someone in a blue Hilton polo shirt says “Hello Family” you are about to get pitched again. (Ever notice when you walk into a car dealership the salesman says “Hello Folks”. You are never called “folks” anywhere unless you’ve been identified as a mark. Same with Hi Family!”) I don’t respect the dishonesty of the game: we’ll offer you credits and discounts if you come to our meeting the next morning at 8:30. I wasn’t in the mood to play and I resent being treated like a prospect for something I would never, ever buy in the first place. It isn’t the sales rep’s fault; it’s Hiltons corporate policy and it is a terrible thing to do to a “guest”. Imagine going to someone’s home for dinner and it turns into an Amway presentation! In general, as I said, the staff was wonderful and these sales reps are just doing their job… One minor issue. The Italian restaurant on site offered “Amartraciano” my favorite Roman pasta dish made with guanciale (pig cheek). Although the plate delivered to me claimed to have guanciale, it didn’t. It had sweet barbecue sauce with flecks of shaved pork served over overcooked pasta. It was rather sad. I think if you don’t mind a sales pitch and avoid the Italian food here (what was I thinking, Italian food in the DR), you will enjoy your stay at La Romana very much.

Amazing holiday

R9788FKnatalier on Apr 27, 2024

Just returned from a 10 night stay at this lovely resort. We booked a a swim up room on the adult enclave side and pre booked a butler. On arrive we were taken to the adult enclave bar, offered a drink and was supplied with resort information. There we met our butler Michael. The process was fairly quick and we were taken to our room. The room looked better than the photos and was absolutely spotless. Michael arranged for our bags to be dropped off and our holiday started. Over the 10 days we enjoyed the beautiful beach and the lovely pool. We had no problem getting loungers ar either . Food was excellent apart from one meal at the Peruvian restaurant which was a bit of a let down, however the service was still friendly so we chose not to make a deal of it. We mostly ate on the adults side with the exception of the grill which was lovely. We had a very entertaining meal at Noor and would like to thank Ramona for making us laugh lots. We booked the romantic corner with lunch and although a bit expensive it was a fantastic day and Ariel was such a lovely guy and really looked after us. The hotel and grounds are kept immaculate and its such a shame some guests don't respect that. All staff from security, maids and bar staff are absolutely fantastic and customer service is second to none. We mostly used the main adult lobby bar as we preferred its atmosphere to the enclave and all the bar staff were fabulous. Michael organised trips, drink cool bags and special drinks. His service was attentive but not intrusive, he really was amazing and made our holiday. Me and my husband had our best holiday ever here and can't wait to return. When we do I hope the lovely bellboy who helped us with our luggage on departure will be a butler in training when we do.

Beautiful place

Softik H on Apr 26, 2024

This hotel is a beautiful place where you have all you need. Food here is so good and also the staff, they are very friendly, kind and helpful, especially Mária Constanzo who take a good care of us. One bad side of this hotel was the room - thin wall and loud neighbors, broken handle on the shower and sink.
