This was our first stay at Costa Mujeres. We have been to several other Grand Palladiums. The service here, as in Riviera Maya, was great. Specifically, Pastor, one of the butlers in building 11 was outstanding. He went out of his way many times to help with things and make sure we were enjoying our stay. Luigi, one of the drivers was a great ambassador for the resort and was always very friendly. I took a 3 day clinic at the Rafa Nadal Tennis Center and the program was excellent! The instructors there were very knowledgeable and did a great job with people of varying abilities. The food in the a la carte restaurants was pretty good for some to very good in others. My favorites were the French and Japanese restaurants. We also went to Italian, Mexican, steakhouse and Thai. The Thai restaurant added sweet peppers to dishes that should not have it. The bars were all good. The buffet restaurants were not particularly good for many things and fine for others. To clarify, the quality of the food was good, the preparation at the buffet restaurants was not. We went to Helios (at TRS) for lunch one day and the food was OK but we were there for 90 minutes, so it is definitely not fast, and not worth that kind of time. For dinner it wasn't as bad I guess but we didn't go for dinner. The cart service here was better than other resorts we have been to. Drivers were always asking if you wanted a ride if you were walking. The grounds are beautiful. A criticism would be the size of the paths throughout the resort don't allow people to walk and have the carts. The paths should definitely be wider. The buildings here are much more modern in their design than the other Palladiums we have been to. The rooms were nice and it was great having ocean views. The ocean is more isolated here and it seems people use the pools more than ocean here. The sand is very, very fine so it collects more than usual on wet skin. There also are no facilities (restaurants, bars, bathrooms) on the beach for the most part. There are a couple bars close and I was told the service was pretty good at one of them, if not both. There are a few pools to choose from. The main pool is heated, and has the splash pad (also heated) adjacent. The kids with us loved the splash pad. The other pools were very refreshing on the warm days and we used them quite a bit as they were conveniently between the hotel buildings. Many more things to say, but no characters left, unfortunately.

My family and I stayed at the GP Costa Mujeres last year. The service was a little disappointing but the food and the amenities of the resort more than made up for it. And since it was a new resort we thought maybe they just needed a bit more time to get the service bit right. We liked it enough to convince our extended families to join us this year... terrible idea. We’re halfway through our week and the service has gone from bad to pathetic. Sure the resort is nice, but it can rapidly become frustrating when you’re traveling with kids and the resort manages to screw up every bit of logistic you asked them for. And worst, the food is now completely inedible. Sadly, we will not be returning to GP.

Our stay at the Palladium was amazing! The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant without being overbearing. Noberto of POP, Diego and Leo the bartenders, and the rest of the poolside staff went out of their way to make our stay unforgettable. We hope to come back for years to come!

Need more wait staff at restaurants, beaches need raked, overall decent resort but we would prob travel elsewhere in the future. Just the beach alone would make us choose another place. Room service was terrible and we were not hungry anymore by the time it arrived.

The hotel is a large complex.think it was built very quick and materials used not up to standard.as tiles cracked pathways a disgrace if you cannot walk very well. Paths should have more lights as there is a few bits we had to turn on our phones to see.the staff are all great and very cheery and polite.our waiter at the pool was jesus and he was tremendous we never had an empty glass.the entertainment staff as well very friendly.Ramon very helpful.as for the food the self service was good but would not reccomend the other restaurants.we went to the Thai at 7.45 and did not get served till 10.05.we sat and sat I was ready to leave when we eventually got served it was luke warm.all the other ones were the same at night.one night we decided to stay in and I ordered a bottle of wine for the room I had to phone them 2 hours later as it had not arrived.we have been to mexico 8 times first time at this hotel.we usually go to moon palace.all restaurants there are great.we cannot fault staff at poolside nor at the self service restaurant we came here for our 25th anniversary as it was a new hotel but are very dissapointed.with the standard of workmanship.i could say much more but I think the main thing was the standard of food in restaurants out with the self service.
