Visit was great. Everyone here is helpful and talkative. My kids and I will be coming back.

Anny Liriano was a great tour guide and representative to my family and I. Her customer service was amazing. Whatever I had concerns on she would fix it immediately. She was definitely on top of everything. She is very sweet and helpful. We are definitely going to come back for her great service during our stay. Thank you Anny so much for all the little gesture for the kids and my family. We appreciate you and the rest of the staff.
Melia Caribe - The Level
Jancee66 (Essex, United Kingdom) on Apr 19, 2024
We stayed in The Level at Melia Caribe. The private transfer with BA from Punta Cana airport was awful and so unorganised. Our family of 5 checked in via the level lounge which took forever although the desk clerk was quite comical. Our bags were delivered to our rooms and the bell boys stood and waited for a tip. Very embarrassing! We ate in the Riviera restaurant on the first evening where we had the buffet, very nice. Day 2 we decided to go back to the Riviera and eat off of the menu. Well we arrived at 6.20pm and were seated at the side left of the buffet opposite the buffet section. We did not leave the restaurant until 9.50pm. The service was abysmal, the waiting staff took care of whom they wanted to take care of, eg if the person looked liked they would tip the party was treated first class. Both my daughter and I had to visit the bar on 3 occasions as we was not given the option to order more drinks. So had to get the drinks ourselves. After 2 hours we had to ask for the dessert menu as this was not offered to us. We witnessed families giving up on the menu and visiting the buffet instead. A majority of staff were very tip orientated in the Riviera and when you did tip they would share this information with other staff and you would then have other staff falling over themselves to serve you. On some evenings in the Riviera there was live entertainment which was a nice touch. The concierge we were allocated didn’t appear to be very helpful but checked in with us each day, I think because he had to. On day 2, I asked for our concierge to help me book Capri restaurant for my daughter’s birthday and I gave him the date of her birthday. I did not hear from him again so I messaged him the next day, no response. The following day I had to chase him on 2 more occasions regarding the restaurant booking as my daughter’s birthday was the following day. He then offered us a booking at 9.30pm although we had a child of 9 in our party. He then offered us the burger restaurant, I replied that I didn’t think my adult daughter would appreciate a burger restaurant for her birthday. Disappointed, we accepted the 9.30pm booking at Capri. We arrived at the restaurant to be the only diners booked for that time. The restaurant had 2 diners who left shortly after our arrival. Our meal was hurried with staff hanging around waiting to sing happy birthday. Our rooms were clean and very large with a separate kitchen area. The beach had a lot of seaweed in August, which made it unappealing to many which meant more people stayed around the pool. The pools were good but holiday makers laid their towels down very early. It’s very tiring to have to rise early in order to get a sunbed! The resort is huge with buggies taking you around which we saw quite regular but we walked and there was a shortcut to reception from our pool area. The resort is ok but I think we would pass on a return.
