Cannot Control Your Room's Temperature (NOT ALLOWED)

Joseph H (San Diego, California) on May 02, 2024

FREEZING Rooms - NO Heat in any room nor buildings.... (Lobby was Warm) All Room Thermostats are LOCKED. This property does not allow you to warm up your room when you are cold. My 14 year old son and I found that out at 12 am when we noticed that the room wasn't getting warmer. The room's blankets were thin and no additional in the closet. My son was sick so we packed up and left @ 4 am because it was too cold to sleep there. We planned to sleep comfortably as we had in the past here. I went onto Yelp and saw we aren't the only customers experiencing this. Many people have complained about not being able to heat nor cool their rooms. However, the hotel Management Has Done NOTHING to Resolve it. I am a Bon Voy Member and if you are too, You Are Better Off @ The Marriot Convention Center down the street. After this experience, we will not be staying @ this Marriot Property EVER again....

Pleasantly Surprised!

Annthetravelingeater (Rancho Bernardo, California) on Apr 11, 2024

I took the kids for a last minute Disneyland visit on a Saturday and decided to give the Sheraton Anaheim a try. I have always avoided it because the rating has been low, but this time they got a significantly low room rate compared to other properties, so I took a chance. I am glad I did! I got upgraded to an Executive Suite almost immediately after I booked the room. The room exceeded my expectations. It has two balconies, the living room is spacious. It also has two separate bathrooms. You also get a nice Disney firework view! It is steps from the Anaheim Convention Center. It’s about a 15 minute walk to Downtown Disney. Their club lounge is open 24/7 but only serves “food” during breakfast and happy hours. The food items are pretty limited. The hotel itself is a bit dated but the rooms got refreshed. The pool seems enjoyable too but I didn’t get to check it out. Parking is $37 overnight self park , $40 valet No resort fee ?? Thank you, Sheraton, for the accommodation and hospitality!

Great location

Great location easy walk to the park. Helpful staff and nice pool area. Lifts were a little slow, so had a bit of a wait. Hotel had some food options which was good at the end of the day. Room was clean and really nice nice shower. but we found a real lack of storage.

Noisy riots ruined stay

alisoncan (South Jordan, Utah) on Mar 23, 2024

Poor management and disrespectful staff. After staying one night, my family doesn’t feel safe for the rest of our stay. Very upsetting because we have been looking forward to this vacation for months as a time to relax and enjoy time together as a family. Workers were blowing air horns outside of our room around 6 am. They have no respect for guests. We have an 18-month-old baby and 3-year-old child who need to rest, and we as their parents need to rest and recharge as well. Then the hotel management tells us there is nothing they can do because of the union contracts. If the hotel needs to pay more to attract reliable staff, they should definitely do that, but the new contracts should include a clause that anyone who intentionally tries to make guests miserable as a negotiation tactic will immediately have their employment terminated. How are we supposed to trust people who have no problem disturbing our peace in our “home away from home” to not try to harm us in other ways (e.g. stealing from our rooms)? People who hold guests in contempt and try to ruin their vacations on purpose do not deserve to be paid an excellent wage in the “hospitality” industry. Please look for a new job if that is your attitude. Quality service should come from a position of care and concern for guests.
