This is one of those reviews in which I swear you can believe what sounds too good to be true. We were looking for a place with resort amenities, but reflecting the very laid back atmosphere of a small island - and we found it. We had to park our rental car at what looked like a dead end and walk around to find the entrance. Behind the gate of what looks like a private residence, we found everything we wanted and more. Our nine-year-old son is accustomed to high-rise resorts with a big pool and lots of kids, so we worried he'd be bored. But I think this was our best family vacation yet. Our two-level, two-bedroom suite felt like a cozy apartment spread with updated appliances. Walking out the back door put us about five steps from the beach of a small cove with calm enough water for a baby to enjoy. The food at the Sunset Cafe was so incredible we ate almost all our meals there. The staff made us feel like family. There's a second beach next to the cafe where chairs and umbrellas are available, along with a sports shop for renting equipment like snorkeling gear. But my favorite thing about the island is just how easy it is to get around on your own and sample every part of the island. Some of our favorite beaches succumbed to Hurricane Irma, and there's still quite a lot of damage still visible around the island. But we'll be back again and again. I forgot to mention the best part: every single sunset, even the ones that included rain, was an incredible thing to watch.

But it won't stay a secret for long! Grand Case Beach Club is back and better than ever! Since there are a few properties on the island that haven't opened yet, St Martin is not as busy or crowded as usual - but that won't last for long. If you act quickly, this is your chance to experience the island the way it was years ago - so go right now! :) We visited in August 2019, our first time back since Irma. The renovation at GCBC is outstanding, the restaurant is fabulous, the bar is even more fun in it's new location and the beach is truly paradise. The staff at GCBC are like family - warm, welcoming and ready to help you have the vacation of your dreams. Go here if you want a welcome retreat in a boutique hotel facing exquisite sunsets and a view of Creole Rock and Anguilla. Thank you Steve, Marga, Christine, Nicky, Sabrina and everyone else at GCBC. We hope to see you again soon :)

The hotel rooms are very clean and well appointed. The property itself is still recovering from the hurricane. The beach is nice, very clear water, basic snorkeling available on site. Picturesque restaurant and bar over the water. Staff are courteous. They could do a lot more as far as customer service with wait staff coming to the pool and/or beach.

This place is awesome! The rooms are well appointed and spacious. The balcony overlooking the ocean with a bottle of wine is just what you’ll need to unwind. There are 2 amazing beaches and the side of the restaurant has chair service . The staff overall were attentive but Sabrina is a superstar ?? Everything was perfect and even better than we expected!! Planning our return visit

1st time visiting this island. Nervous from all the hurricane destruction. Needed a place to just relax and reflect before a major surgery. Room was very clean. Small quaint resort. Everyone including the guests were super friendly. Most guests were 20 year plus repeat customers...that speaks volumes!!!! Never met a stranger there. It was quiet and very safe...always a security guard was roaming round and highly alert. Saw pics of the hurricane destruction…..amazing recovery. The pool was very nice but so was the beach and ocean.
