Absolute paradise

Lauren B on May 04, 2024

Couples Tower Isle was absolute paradise! Best resort we’ve ever stayed in. All the staff were incredible, extremely polite, friendly and always there to help. This hotel has so much to offer with daytime and nighttime activities. During our 5-night stay we took advantage of many of the all inclusive activities including: afternoon catamaran cruise, scuba diving, water sports, nature walk, massage class, yoga class, tie dying shirts ($10 per shirt) and Jamaican cooking class. There was also so much more on offer. Shout out to the brilliant Carol who was the yoga instructor, she was lovely and so warm. We paid extra for the private dinner on the island and it was incredible - amazing sunset, gorgeous food and friendly staff. The food is out of this world throughout the hotel - best buffet we’ve ever experienced with the variety and high quality options. We also dined at the Bayside Asian once and Eight Rivers twice and loved both (especially Eight Rivers!!) The vibe at the hotel is very romantic and relaxed - lovely atmosphere. We had the best stay and wish we could have stayed for longer. It’s absolute heaven! The only small criticism is we were made aware of the additional cost of the scuba refresher ($65USD pp) after the refresher, whereas we were under the impression it was also included.

Don’t ignore negative reviews

I sit here reading these lovely remarks about this hotel and can’t believe I have just come back from the same place.Firstly I should say that there were some staff at this hotel that were very nice, mainly cleaning staff and gardeners they were brilliant at keeping every thing clean and tidy and they seemed happy with their jobs and very friendly .Also the animation team and the boys on the water boats were lovely helpful and cheerful.Unfortunately the rest of the staff especially the staff in the buffet were the most unhelpful and miserable staff I have ever come across in the Caribbean ( which I have traveled a lot) . On our second weekend there was a large influx of managers that arrived. The change in the staff attitude to the gusts was amazing they were very friendly and helpful to all of the guests but once managers left the property the were back to their miserable selves. The beach was washed away by storms earlier in year which made one end of the beach very dangerous to get onto as there was a huge drop at the bottom of the steps i except that you can’t stop nature happening but other hotels in Jamaica have managed to repair their beaches by bringing in more sand why has this hotel not managed to repair theirs ?.Outside the front entrance their is a lovely old fountain which is not running and full of green dirty water. It did work for a couple of days after managers visit in second week but then stopped again. The food being served in the buffet was very cold There were no adequate overhead lights to keep food warm only tea lights underneath. There was often no cups under coffee machine and when my husband politely asked if he could have a cup so he could use the machine he was told to go and get one from the other side of the restaurant to a section used to refill the tables. Some of the entertainment at night was held in the breakfast/ lunch buffet it was very good but with the same uninterested staff. These staff were employed to serve drinks to you in the evening whilst watching the show. Finally I was asked if i wanted a drink so I ordered a gin and tonic it arrived in a plastic beaker!! There was not enough shade around the pool and by 3pm you were often asked to move from the pool area to allow them to set up for entertainment in the evening this really shortened the day . Overall I hope people will read this review and book at another hotel.Lots of people that I spoke to at this hotel were not at all happy with the hotel and staff either but haven’t bothered to put a review on trip advisor I have to admit that I don’t usually bother but if the people that I spoke to also backed up my review it would make it believable and hopefully stop people wasting their hard earned money on this holiday plus the huge disappointment and expectations that come with a holiday.I feel so let down with this holiday and have complained to Tui as they should be checking their hotels regularly to make sure they are as described before selling these very expensive holidays.

Great food and staff!

Couples Tower Isle is a perfect getaway for couples looking to relax and have a great Jamaican vacation. The staff here is amazing and so friendly and was super helpful whenever we needed anything. The food is probably one of the main selling points here, the buffet is amazing and the two reservation restaurants were great. Highly recommend!

Just What We Needed

Mary S on Apr 28, 2024

My husband and I just returned from a few glorious days at Couples Tower Isle and we can't begin to express our appreciation to the staff who bent over backwards to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel and grounds were clean and beautiful, the pools, activities, bars and restaurants covered all bases. We were on a sloth and indolence mission and we succeeded in doing just that. If you're looking for a peaceful vacation with a relaxing vibe this is the place for you. My only complaint is that those poor parrots out back should be a MUCH bigger space.

Great vacation

Had a wonderful trip. Cannot say enough about the food, drinks , beach and staff. Having to endure the 2 hour ride in a small bus from the airport to the resort was well worth it. We will definitely be going back!
