There are a few things you need to know about this resort. It is a mixed crowd, mostly older but there were people there celebrating their 21st birthday. you have to make a reservation a day in advanced at Chief Pietros and the Pineapple Grill. Both are worth it but the buffet changes nightly so you are not eating the same thing all the time. We stayed in the 900 block, there were steps to walk down to the pool and beach which was probably 50-75 yards away. if the walk is going to bother you, stay in the rooms on the beach. They have a great mix of alcohol and will pretty much make you anything you will ask for. The employees make this resort! They are so kind and nice. They will help you any way they can. the beach was windy the week we were there but when the wind calmed down the water was beautiful and clear. We worked with Marvin/Garth to set up a trip to sting ray city and Shirely Heights and both are a must while you are there. It's a far walk but do yourself a favor and go to Devil's Bridge, it's absolutely stunning. If I had to come up with a complaint, it was that they usually ran out of beach towels by mid day. I'm sure you can find things to complain about if you want to, but we really enjoyed our visit and we will be back!

My husband and I stayed here for our 10th anniversary. We had champagne waiting in our room upon arrival. We spent most of out vacation on the beach with rum in hand. The rooms we clean and housekeeping keeps the rooms absolutely spotless. We never did make reservations at the Pineapple Grill or Peitros. We ate the buffet and the Pelican grill. We also ate at the Outhouse. All the food was always good and the rum was free flowing! Snorkeling on the far end of the beach was great and everyone we encountered was friendly and helpful!

Just returned home from a fantastic visit to this resort. We had a blast. Food was great (tho you need to ensure you make reservations 48 hours in advance) and the location is very suited for a relaxing get-away. Unfortunately for us the island had a freak storm (very windy) that lasted for the 5 days we were there so we never used any of the water sports. In fact, it was closed the entire time. The activity staff was awesome (Kudos to Tiranne - he was very personable and we all felt that he honestly cared about us). Others on the staff were also very nice. The only area of improvement in our opinion would be the reception staff. No very pleased that we were seated upon arrival, went through the motions of getting a cool towel and a drink and then after this 30 minute ritual, told that it was now after 5pm so we could not make dinner reservations. Other than that, wonderful time.

My husband and I just returned from our second visit, and we had an amazing time. Staff remembered us and immediately made us feel at home. Special shout out to Sonia, Dennis, Judith, Michele, Suzette, and Maritza for taking care of us. We stayed 8 nights in there pool terrace rooms, which were recently renovated. We absolutely loved this spot... there is a quiet pool and a nice bar in this block of rooms that hardly ever gets crowded. We enjoyed all of the restaurants, both a la carte and buffet. Reservations for a la carte can be made 48 hours in advance and we never had an issue. The Outhouse is a hidden gem... great food and beautiful views. Good snorkeling down at the ends of the beach, so bring your gear or borrow from waiter sports. Bar is excellent, with great service and drinks. Tipping is very much appreciated here, so show the staff some love, but service is great with or without it... definitely take advantage of the scheduled activities, including walk to devil's bridge and day pass to sister resort Verandah. Plenty of chairs by beach and/or pool, so no fighting with others for space or having to go out at 7a to claim a spot. I highly recommend PBC. We are already planning our 3rd visit for Christmas 2020.
