Scaling New Heights Conference was held at the Mariott World Center from 11/7 to 11/11.... It was an outstanding place to hose a conference; Why? Because of the staff, THE FOOD, the cleanliness and just over all everything..... I am a vegan and on the last day for lunch they had a great meal ready for me.... rice, cole-rabi, garbanzo beans, I had brought my fruit and can of carrots to add to my meal.... OMG it was so good.... and the staff at all of the meals were wonderful and accomodating... on the last day some of us at at the bar restaurant where Jerry was the bartender/waiter and he was magnificent, the chef made me a great dinner. Thank you Jerry....

We’ve been Marriott World Center regular guests since our first stay there in 1986, just 3 months after it opened. When we moved to Orlando in 1989, it became our go-to place for celebrating special events, as well as our favorite spot for weekend getaways. One of the main reasons we fell in love with the place was the awesome customer service. I believe it was the largest hotel in the state when it opened. Despite that, we have always been treated like guests at a small bed and breakfast hotel. We were there last weekend celebrating my 60th birthday. And just like previous stays, everything was perfect. Beneditto at the front desk was awesome and made it all happen. Earlier in the week, he had arranged a suite and room for us in the main (east) tower. Unfortunately, we discovered a small detail at check-in that made the assigned rooms not suitable for the stay. It was important that the suite included a kitchen, because of the birthday dinner party we were planning to have the next night. Beneditto went right to work on the computer, and even traveled to several floors in person to find perfect accommodations. As always, everything turned out perfectly, due mostly to the attention to detail by your front desk folks.

This has been one of the best hotels we stayed at. Giovanni, Brittany and Mikey went the extra mile to make our stay nice .They are taking extra step to make us feel safe during covid. keep up the good work.

What a wonderful place to stay! The staff was incredible. Kenny the shuttle driver was exceptional! Took such good care of us. Driving us to and from Disney. Checking in on us to make sure we were ok all weekend. The front desk staff was amazing. Ben, Arya and Angelix , they were all incredible. It’s close to Disney and the restaurant in the hotel was amazing, our waiter was Shawn and we were a family of seven and after a long day at Disney he was running around all over for us. This experience was really awesome and I highly recommend to anyone wanting to stay close to Disney.

Went to Orlando for Vacation for 3 days. This resort was recommended to me by close friends who been there BEFORE the pandemic. The price was right, and other members' photos looked amazing, so i booked 2 nights right away. When i got there around 8 pm , only 2 valet guys, 1 luggage helper guy, and 1 front desk attendant. EMPTY property no employees except for the 4 employees i mentioned. i checked in no problems. Going upstairs to my room, beautiful clean room, beautiful bathroom. I had pool view, so the view of property was beautiful. See some of the photos i took. BIG PROBLEM for me is i like the temperature inside the room to be around ~ 67. Never had a problem with ACs not even in DoubleTree. The AC here you set it to 65, and it barely feels like 72 or so. I asked the front desk guy to send technician over, he said it will not be possible till the next day some point. So i asked to be moved to another room, and he obliged no problems. luggage helper wasnt around so i had to move all my stuff all the way down the hallway same floor by myself. New room AC was still weak, but better than the original room so it was a better situation. What resort cant support proper AC temperatures UNLESS Marriott is saving costs again at our expense in the rooms! Walking around the resort, its HUGE! 1st thing i notice is everything is closed, the starbucks, the restaurants, everything closed. Only open place is a deli type place on 1st floor with some pre-made sandwichs, chips, candy protein bars,...etc. The resort is huge, no employees almost anywhere except the front desk. If you're planning on self-park, its quite an adventure to walk from the hotel in hallways through the other tower of the hotel (which is closed) all the way through the convention center into the parking lot. There will not be a soul to ask directions in these vast hallways, and no signs to direct you if needed. VERY eerie feeling indeed, and could be a MAJOR safety concern if something would happen through these hallways like drunk fight or any harassments, there will be NOBODY to stop it or intervene. insane. The resort has 3 or 4 wings total, and only 1 wing is open. Gym has restricted hours , closes @ 6 pm. Marriott simply cutting costs, probably sending the employees home early after 6 pm after they close out the gym and other amenities. No room service - Policy enforced by Marriot ?!?! claiming its a pandemic policy. Unless you plead with the front desk & explicitly ask for your room to be cleaned. Just another way for Marriott to save money at the expense of the Customer experience taking away from the essence of the Vacation feeling. Pool is AMAZING, i mean large, grand & amazing. Pool service is great will bring you drinks, food, whatever you need while you lounge in the sun & enjoy the pool. General feel is the Resort is deserted and unkept except for the pool area. Dont even try calling the front desk from your room, they NEVER answer no matter how many time you call at EVERY hour of the day. NEVER seen this type of ignorance before not even in Motel 6. Overall a good experience, but Marriott needs to keep things running at full scale and not cut down the hours on gym & ammenities, and no room service & close down restaurants. remember, the customers who come to this resort paid good money & no reason to cut me a diminished experience. But if need be for cost cutting, MENTION that upfront on your website & have your employees NOT lie about the details when asked on the phone. Yes, your employees did lie to me when i called up the night before i showed up claiming all is open & all is good without any down-scaling. LIE.
