    There’s nothing Negative to say about the Servíce and quality we received at this restaurant. Our servers Jose and Irving went above and beyond any service we have ever received. The food was exquisite and more than delicious. Definitely recommend!!!

    Our first visit to hotel Mousai was in Oct 2020 and we loved it so much we came back in March 2021. Everything was perfect. The service, food, drinks, cleanliness of the hotel and grounds, all amazing. Carlos, our butler was outstanding. He was our butler in October and when we planned our trip for March we knew we had to ask for him again. He truly seems to enjoy his job. He goes the extra mile every day to make his guests smile and happy. If you book Mousai, ask for Carlos. You will be glad you did!

    I booked this 5-day trip (April 3rd through April 8th) as birthday present for my fiancée. Truth be told it was probably the 8th or 9th country I tried (all others had quarantine and other restrictions for entering at the time) but it could not have turned out any better. We were in an ULTRA suite. This was one of the, if not the, highest quality resorts we have visited around the world. Additionally, it is an adult only resort which is ideal for my fiancée and I. Their level of detail was made evident from the onset. It started with the booking process which was seamless and so easy that it makes you wonder if you missed something….Then the pre-concierge staff contacts you for setting up any and all activities/services you would like (spa services, private care transfer to/from airport, and any accommodations). They had deals for spa/special occasions that could be pre-purchased, at a discounted rate, and basically allow you to just enjoy your time on the resort….Upon arrival to the resort, which is up the mountainside a bit, winding through cobble stone drives littered with statues of Buddhist gods, you are greeted by staff who usher you to the front desk and your luggage to your room. Front desk: Eduardo took care of us from beginning to end. He checked us in and out along with assisted in answering questions throughout the stay. He actually remembered our name and room number immediately when one of the concierges did not recall. Gustavo was the friendliest, attentive, and welcoming bellman we have ever encountered. These two really set the tone for the whole stay. Upon checking in we were immediately greeted by our personal concierge Rosey who took 20-30 minutes with us to discuss our desires for the trip. Rosey and her partner Jennifer were wonderful concierges and made sure we had all of our spa appts booked, reservations for restaurants, and gave us information on resort activities as well as tips for offsite places to visit if we desired. They were amazing and really helped make the stay seem like a 5 diamond experience. We next met our personal butler, Carlos. He was attentive and friendly, calling or coming to find us every day to check in, give us updates on things, setting up our COVID testing, and he surprised my fiancee with a balloon and dessert birthday decoration in the room which was a great touch. The room was amazing, immaculately clean, the bed was heavenly, the rain head shower was the most high pressure rain head shower I have ever met, and the bidet toilet was a smash hit!!! The spacious balcony with large plunge pool, lounge chair, love seat, and hammock was wonderful; we had several meals and night caps out there during our stay. The arouma therapy each night and the pillow menu option made for a heightened personal touch that really helped solidify the 5 diamond experience. The food all week was better at each place compared to the next. The variety of restaurants and dining experiences was expansive. (Terrace)--Whole staff was amazing, funny, engaging, and fast. They really kicked our mornings off right every day. We really enjoyed the education on animals we spotted during our meals including the "wild chickens" and "badgers"....(Hiroshi)--Christian and Jose took care of us both times we dined there. They were knowledgeable of menu, made great recommendations, and even set up a surprise birthday dessert coupled with whole staff singing to my fiancée which was not pre-planned but taken on by the staff…(Bocados Stk) was good but not great. This was the only place where we had a dip in service/quality. The food, while good, was not up to the 5 diamond quality at other places on site. The steaks were prepared perfectly but they were lacking in the ascetics department (1/4 in ribeye is a little short statured for a steak house) and they were out of 3-4 types of dry aged steaks. The service at Bocados Stk was adequate but we felt like a little bit of an afterthought compared to the larger tables (20 min to get our water to the table, 15 more to get the server over to take our order and then nearly 30 min, after asking for our check, to finally get the check. We were in no hurry but it seemed excessive compared to the other dining options throughout the resort. (Rooftop)…Quick service, wonderful food (the club sandwich and coconut shrimp are delightful), and attentive staff even though they seem to be light staffed for the traffic and neediness of guests drinking at poolside…(Spa Imagine)--Rubi at the front desk was a bright spot every day and so helpful and friendly. Erika was my hydrotherapy butler on no less than 6 occasions throughout the week and was amazing; always there with water, towels, and snacks. The entire therapy staff was kind, adaptive, professional, and made our spa experiences that much better. The hydrotherapy circuit was a great way to unwind daily or use before your treatments. We always do a body scrub immediately upon arrival to places, to get the plane/airport/travel off and feel refreshed. This was no different and it was maybe an hour after arrival that is was booked and we were doing the hydrotherapy circuit before our scrub. We also did the luxury manicures/pedicures, diamond facials, 80 min deep tissue massage, 80 min relaxing massage, reflexology, and the 3rd chakra experience; so we got to know the staff and spa facility quite well. The rooms all have great views, comfortable beds/chairs, and amazing staff. The products used are top quality as well. The additional activities offered by the resort included hiking, paddle boarding, beach yoga, tai chi, cardio-boxing, and kayaking.--Shout out to Cesar who lead the kayak tour. He was very funny, engaging, and we enjoyed the history/naturalist info/local knowledge throughout the tour. The activities were in the GarzaBlanca resort which Hotel Mousai guests have access to including the beach side chairs, pools, and all restaurants if desired. There are trolleys, that run early morning to late night, to bring you between resorts in both directions. We chose to walk down and take pictures of the jungle environment and statues but ride the trolley back up. It was another great touch. The overall quality shown was impeccable and second to none. There are ongoing expansions happening and I just hope the quality of service does not diminish with the increased capacity. We will definitely return to Hotel Mousai.

    Everything about our stay at Hotel Mousai went above and beyond our expectations. We were amazed by beauty of the views, the room, and the resort grounds, but the attentiveness of the staff and level of customer service really blew us away. We felt like VIPs everywhere we went! Carlos Ramos was our butler during our stay and he out of his way to make sure we had the best experience possible. We celebrated a birthday during our stay and Carlos took the initiative to really make it feel like a week long celebration. He made this the most stress-free vacation of all time by helping us with any reservations, room requests, or information that we needed. We absolutely loved our experience at the rooftop every day, and it was some of the best food (lunch and dinner) that we had the whole week. Gustavo and Arturo, as well as the other pool staff, were incredibly quick to assist us get seats, shade, towels, or anything else we needed. Cesar was our waiter most of the week, and he was very friendly and always attentive and prompt with any drink or food order. Other memorable nights were dining with Abraham, Jose, Irving, and Franco at Hiroshi and Bocados. It was some of, if not the, very best customer service and dining experiences that we have ever had. Hiroshi was some of the best Japanese cuisine I’ve ever had, even having gone on a trip to Japan. Second to that was the rooftop dining experience we had to celebrate our birthday (put together by Carlos) with a special menu, sectioned off table, and exceptional service where the Chef came out and explained each course. We cannot recommend enough booking your stay at Hotel Mousai, spending your days at the rooftop pool drinking Watermelon Fresh cocktails and eating Coconut Shrimp, and experiencing what each resort restaurant has to offer for dinner. We’ve already booked a trip to come back next year and know we will be visiting for many years to come!

    My wife and I stayed here for the first time back in February and thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We had a corner suite and loved it! We found the service everywhere to be phenomenal and the food was great! We thought the Japanese restaurant was top notch for food and service, the steakhouse was good for food and excellent service, and the Mexican restaurant was fantastic but the service was just ok compared the Mousai. The views from the rooftop pool are incredible. We are not part of the “timeshare” or vacation group and never once felt any pressure. We also never really felt like our service or experience was any less. We would absolutely stay here again and rank it overall in our top 5 experiences.
