Loved the location and the resort is beautiful but needs some updates also be careful at the pool areas the tiles are so slippery everybody was falling down, resort need an urgent ?? entertainment management the entertainment is sucks I was getting bored after staying there for 8 days almost everyday nothing to do or whatever was going on was no fun, the only good entertainment was the fire show, wondering why is not a white beach party, a foam party, games at the pool area other than volleyball.

We had a great time!! All of the food was delicious. Had a great server, Fredder. Would definitely come back. Thanks for a great time.

Exceptional Service by Alexa and beautiful resort Review: We recently stayed at Dreams Las Mareas in Costa Rica and was fortunate to be served by the incredibly attentive waitress, Alexa who worked the pool side. Alexa greeted us with a warm smile and genuine enthusiasm. She was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu, providing detailed descriptions of drink and offering excellent recommendations based on our preferences. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Our building #6 is right in an area where you can enjoy many playful monkeys. The only thing I would suggest would be to install fans in the restaurants when dining outside. It was incredibly humid and hot.

Dreams Las Mareas exceeded my expectations. The service, food, incredible view, pools, and morning visits from the monkeys were all I could ask for and more. I was visiting for a work trip but plan to come back with my family.

Run away from this place. It’s secluded from everything. It’s 1 hour and a half far from airport. On my way from airport to this resort i saw nothing, nothing else , just land . When i arrived at the resort, i went to see the beach. It’s nothing like in the pictures. The Pacific ocean water looks dark, a lot of seaweed, no one on the beach because it’s impossible to stay there , local vendors on the beach, disgusting sand. There is nothing extra on preferred club , similar to other rooms, preferred club pool is nothing like the other pools around. They just BS you . Restaurant Portofino ( fake Italian restaurant) serve house wine from Chile( i know because i asked for the name of the wine house) food is impossible to eat. I asked for caprese salad and there was 5 big slices of tomatoes and two tiny fresh mozzarella ( i will post the pic) Buffet is hit and miss, the sushi and Japanese restaurant are decent. The prices for sunscreen $12 in USA it is sell for $50 ( rip off). You have no where else to go because there are no towns near by so you don’t have the choice to go out for dinner. You are stuck there. I observed how they prepare for destination wedding on the beach. At 12pm the liquors ( all type of liquors) they were already sitting outside in the sun 100 degrees Fahrenheit on a big kind of table . I checked back around 4pm and the liquors they were still there in the hot fire sun. All this drinks were served later there at the wedding ( i went back there later and i saw it). Tours with ATV are worthless because you will see just empty beaches , not jaw dropping beaches( long beach NY looks much more attractive) . To go snorkeling and see sunset they ask $500 for 2 people, they don’t do groups snd they don’t guarantee you are going to see the fish. The only good thing is to go and see the waterfalls, hot springs, rain forest, zip line but everything is far 1 hour and a half to 2 hours from this resort. Cost is around $375 for 2 people for waterfalls and hot springs ( that’s what i paid). My travel agent also failed me. All she wanted is her percentage and con care less when I messaged her about all the experience. I trusted her and now i learned my lesson. The Caribbean side of Costa Rica is the best area. I’ve learned from local people.
