View, Vibe and Location are 10/10, Customer Service, Functionality, Parking Structure and overall cleanliness 0/10

DeputySarah (Redlands, California) on Apr 27, 2024

The vibe and location of this place are the two highest redeeming qualities amidst several awful ones. I honestly really liked a few certain aspects of this place, but so many bad things overall just really outweighed the good in the end. I would consider coming back again under different circumstances. I will start with my pluses: The romantic noir theme is really fantastic, the decor is really beautiful and I really loved my room, plus the view of the bellagio’s fountain was an epic bonus. I loved the script on the carpeting and the romantic feel of the hotel itself. I wish the balcony was an actual balcony and not just for show. Location, is central to several of the biggest draws of the strip (fountain, high roller wheel, Eiffel Tower etc) so the walks to these places are not bad at all, and it’s very easy to go sightseeing. This was a bonus. The bad things: The room felt dingy despite being very cute, and I questioned whether the sheets had actually been changed which was a major ick for me. The rain shower head was very difficult to work and the toilet flusher was nearly non functional requiring several tries to get it to function. The WiFi never worked for me and even on the brightest function the room is impossibly dim all the time. The mini fridge was missing a bottle on the evening of my second day, (I don’t drink I have recovering alcoholics I live with) I brought it to their attention immediately and they charged me anyways but I believe the maid took it), the ice machine on our floor didn’t work, and while I was making trips to my room, a security guard was returning from a call for someone stuck in the elevators during which the person on the other end of the speaker call told her not to use the elevators for a while as they were working on a problem. The parking lot is self parking requiring you to take a filthy elevator to the floor level and then you walk through part of the casino to the hotel elevators, down another hall to your room. If you only have a few bags and Are staying only a night or two this wouldn’t be bad, I had tools and work equipment and was staying many days. It was not a great experience and the valet was sketchy and rude. The parking structure itself was filthy also, felt dangerous, and on Saturday when I parked there were many scantily clad people headed to a beach club within the hotel, I’m not a prude by any means but it would’ve been nice to be able to walk to my car and back without a contact high. Security was not present and did nothing about the parties pregaming in their vehicles throughout the entire lot. There are blackout curtains in the room but it didn’t stop the neon sign across the way from flashing through them all night long. Noise from the street was also still quite loud. When it was time to check out I asked about a valet and was very rudely told they didn’t start until much later in the morning, when I asked to use the cart for my things to make one trip instead of five, I was very rudely told they don’t offer that. When I asked if I could move my car closer into the empty valet spots (valet is closed on the weekend and it was 6 am) to make the trip half what it would be otherwise, I was extremely rudely told that I would be towed if I even thought about it. Any time I spoke with any of the front desk staff they were dismissive and rude/ cold. One woman in particular was just awful. Moving out of this hotel was miserable, took me four trips to the car and just about an hours worth of time, which would have been done in one trip and maybe twenty minutes if the lady hadn’t been a Royal B about all of it. 0/10 customer service for my entire stay. Overall if you’re coming with a romantic partner, have only a small rolling bag or two and are only staying for a couple days then this place I’m sure is wonderful. It is NOT child friendly, and I absolutely do not recommend it for any other circumstance than a couple day Romantic escape. I ended up moving to another hotel to finish my stay because of my trash experience here and it was worlds of difference.
