Originally booked our stay At the Hilton Waikiki beach for 14 days but ended up extending for 32 days . Hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Waikiki , close to a convenience store, under 5 minute walk to the beach and every restaurant / shop you can think of. Amenities wise you couldn’t ask for more : coin laundry , Starbucks in the lobby , heated pool, hot tub , great gym etc . Rooms are spacious, bit dated but well kept . But the real gem of this property is Thelma at the vacation desk . Thelma went above and beyond during our stay helping us from booking restaurants reservations to spending time finding a lab to do our covid testing needed for our return to Canada . Thank you Thelma ! :) Highly recommend this property and all their staff Jose and Steve

We stayed here 5 nights during pandemic times. The hotel had literally totally been closed for 7 months. They were now cautiously reopening and welcoming back hotel guests while following health and safety guidelines. In addition to the usual masking requirements and social distancing, there were lots of rules to keep contact to a minimum. If we wanted our room cleaned, we made an appointment and we had to be out of the room. If we wanted more towels, coffee, etc.,, we called housekeeping and they left it at our door. We appreciated these efforts and we were more than willing to do our part. The restaurant, snack shop and bar had limited special hours. Remember them so you won't be surprised that they are not open full-time. Apart from these limitations, this was an excellent stay. It is a good solid property. The staff is everything it should be whether at the bar, the dining room or the front desk. We were less than 2 blocks from the ocean. Our favorite local restaurants were 20-30 minutes walking; the Ala Moana shopping center was about 40 minutes on foot. We got in our Fitbit steps. We definitely loved the hotel and the location and we will definitely return.

Excellent hotel with great staff everywhere! Kit was incredibly helpful at the front desk. The famous Mac 24/7 restaurant in the hotel serves surprisingly excellent food; be sure to get Joel as your waiter when you can..he is friendly and caring..as ALL the staff!

I stayed for two nights at Hilton Waikiki Beach. Hilton never goes beyond my expectation in both good and bad ways. But I appreciate them first for offering a room with a great ocean view for affordable price with no minimum requirement nights to stay unlike other AirBnBs in popular sites in Hawaii. I was welcomed by a man at the check-in. He seemed kind of unfriendly to me that I didn’t feel welcomed. He might have been tired because he was actually a manager or something who usually doesn’t do the check-in duty but he had to now because of the shortage on staffing, etc. I entered my room for the first time I felt sands under my foot at the entrance area on my first steps in the room. I noticed some lints on bed linens which I tried to ignore but I found a black hair which is not mine under the comforter. Eww. These were what I found in a minute after I entered room so hair and lints were not from me. I noticed there was some burnt marks on the sheet. At that point I had reached the mindset to think it was much better than a hostel. I didn’t request a change of rooms because I didn’t want to make a hustle anymore. After that I noticed that the wall was extremely thin perhaps. I was able to hear the iPhone’s text chimes from next room, a guy next room was heavily coughing and gargling. Another eww. At the lanai I smelled tobacco that someone must have been breaking the rule or whatever. I decided to look out the great view from inside, which was still quite nice. Since the TV remote didn’t work, I requested a new one. It was brought to me promptly in a plastic bag. The bag was sealed with a sticker saying “this remote was sanitized” or something like that. Funny part was there was a hair again stuck on the sticker. AC works cool however it smelled moldy for the first few minutes after being turned on. The first few hours of my stay were not too pleasant but when I was leaving I didn’t want to leave. After all I enjoyed the stay. Staff at the restaurant in the same building was nice. And like I said at first it offered a room with a fantastic ocean view for affordable price.
