The Atlantis in general is truly paradise. I would highly recommended checking it out! We stayed on the ground floor of the West Tower. Nothing fancy about the room, had a large patio to walk out to with two chairs compared to the top floors with a teeny tiny balcony. Rooms had the basic cleaning but the secondary cleaning like baseboards and lighting etc were very dusty (if that's your pet peeve). Location of The Royal-no matter where your room is located, its a marathon, and may get lost a couple of times to get to where you want to go. The royal has the cave-like aquarium, close to Dolphin cave, scuba diving area, and the iconic slide with the sharks. Pools- appeared clean, offered towels, plenty of sitting but noticed people were starting to "save chairs" with their towels so may want to get up by 9:00 if thats your sort of thing. There is several areas to get something to eat and bathrooms appear to be pretty clean. Drawbacks - difficult to find showers by the pool to wash off sand from beach, no swim-up bars at ANY pool and NO DRINKING in the water:(. Some pools are warmer than others. Recommended checking out all the pools, each pool has a different vibe. Beach- its a pretty far walk. I didnt care for the beach which was a BUMMER for me due to the soft sand. Your feet will sink past your ankles. Awesome lounge chairs everywhere though! Also there is a sidewalk to walk from different areas by the beach, not very appealing..there is this very large, ugly bridge or concrete thingy blocking most of your view from the Royals beach area. You can rent jetskis and buy local artwork on beach. Prices - outragous! Beers are $10.18, mixed drinks $18, burgers $15, coffee and a bagal $9. Everything you buy there has a tax and gratituty added to it. I always pack a beach bag and a cooler flexible bag so I can buy my own liquior and/or drinks/snacks. I dont recommend TWIN BROTHERS off the resort, it was not good period. Everything I ate at Atlantis was awesome, no complains. The food is shipped from Florida so I didnt get sick like going to Mexico. I felt safe and cant wait to take the kiddos next year!

I believe all know what they are signing up to when they book at such a massive hotel as Atlantis = good weather, not so healthy yet plentiful food, nice updated rooms, good views, mediocre customer service... all in all, I find this hotel to really deliver on what you believe you will get = a fun vacation, in a beautiful place, at a fair price. Twice I've been to Atlantis, and twice I've enjoyed myself and consider coming for a 3rd time. I always get spa treatments and enjoy them, I always go out of the property for dinners, and enjoy them.

We were told to move from Beach to ROYAL, due to low guests occupancy. The moving took half a day, only 1 bellman availabe to move luggages for guests, lengthy process at Royal in getting our suitcases to our rooms. Rooms had to be changed because we needed adjoining rooms. Room keys had to be changed several times before they worked. Water was disconnected from 12 noon , until 5, , front desk were just non-chalant about the reason for the water interruption.Flood in the room next to ours, flooded our room, we had to put towels on the floor to absorb the water, stench was horrible.

The Atlantis has something for everyone! Our housekeeper, Karen, was excellent. I stay at many hotels and they are very nice and have good housekeeping, but Karen topped them all. A spotless room every day! March 5-10, 2020.

After stepping off the plane, you are greeted with a warm welcome to this country. The locals treat their guests very kindly. Being on the 18th floor was a new experience cause most rooms in the Royal have sliding doors with a balcony. It was great to wake up every morning with a fresh breeze. Staying at one of the Atlantis resorts gives you free access to the water park. As an adventure myself, the Leap of Faith is a must. Face your fear of a highspeed slide as you slide through a tunnel filled with sharks. The best eateries are in Harbor Village. Try to avoid the high-end resturants, their food is alright. For families I would choose Murray's Deli. And for couples try Frankie Gone Bananas. The best time to go is in the off-season. Water may be a cold and you'll get more a chance for clouds/rain, but there are less people. For a real warm water experience try in mid-March. There is a lot to do on Paradise Island for both family/friends/kids/couples you name it. So a week is just enough in Paradise. The overall experience is relaxing. But do your research before you go. Know what activities you want to do before you go and have fun.
