Great beach, poor value. Scarcity of shaded chairs led to some bad guest behavior.

mdrays (Boston, Massachusetts) on May 04, 2024

Had to wait til 3 for the room to be ready date of arrival. Staff seemed to be in no hurry to prepare it. Some mornings, pool towels were nowhere to be found. So you're paying top dollar for service that could be found at a Motel 6. Have to get up around 6-6:30 am to get a shaded chair at the Caribbean pool. One morning, I put my belongings on a chair under an umbrella at 6:30 am. I returned a couple of hours later, only to find my chair dragged away from the umbrella with by belongings still on it. I confronted the couple now sitting under said umbrella but of course they knew nothing about removing my belongings and taking my hard-earned position in the shade. Sad that you have guests like that when you are paying top dollar. After that incident, I photographed my belongings after claiming an umbrella early am, timestamped and all. Really sad that you have to do this.

Quick Stay to Surprise our Family -Got a great room upgrade as well !

Jason A (Brooklin, Canada) on May 03, 2024

We did a short stay to surprise our family (3 nights) for a 40th birthday and 50th wedding anniversary. Overall a great stay. Drinks are a little average, nothing fancy but the food was great. My wife and I are vegan and they had decent options and the staff at the restaurants were very accommodating. We booked last minute and because the resort was booked to capacity we had a split stay, we had to move after the first night .Original booking was for 1 night in a Caribbean premium walkout king room and it was a little dated and plain as the Caribbean village is the original resort. To our surprise we received a great upgrade for our next 2 nights in the Italian village to a king walkout suite with a pool view,,which was awesome !! Service was great for the entire stay. Our family had a penthouse suite with butler and received great service from both of the butlers who took care of them. Lots of great perks come with having a butler level suite. Looking forward to our next stay but this time at a Sandals property as beaches has lots and lots of small kids and the resort gets really quiet after 11pm.

Perfect family resort

Jack219 (Louisville, Kentucky) on May 03, 2024

We chose Beaches Turks and Caicos with four boys under age 11 in mind and we were not disappointed! It was the perfect place for both the kids and their parents to run around and enjoy the activities and the many pools and especially the water park! With over twenty different places to eat, we never got bored with the fantastic spread of food and the kids could easily find things they liked (especially the mac 'n cheese truck and the pizza that was always available! The game room was an added bonus and by the time the evening shows started, the little ones were exhausted and asleep so the adults could go enjoy an evening out. There is a free camp available for the kids but we only used it one day because we found the kids keeping busy on their own, playing in the pools or enjoying the gorgeous beach, the ocean really is aqua and CLEAR! Everyone, from the cleaning staff to the food servers, wrenfriendly and helpful and we could not have had a more enjoyable vacation.

Alex and Dennis “ Our Bulters”

558geed on May 02, 2024

I can not say enough about our trip to Beaches in Turks and Caicos. Way beyond our expectations, but what made it so amazing was our butlers, Alex and Dennis. Saying good bye to them actually made me want to cry..?? we truly came to love them. Alex and Dennis were so dedicated to service and willingness to please, from last minute reservations, to elegant appetizers delivered to our room every night, to popcorn for a movie in our room, beautifully arranged deserts brought to us every night, shrimp cocktails, which they knew were my favorite. Nothing was overlooked. Alex and Dennis’s cheerfulness whenever they saw us, was just beyond words, from picking us up for every meal at our room, escorting us to every restaurant, just impeccable. Our cabana was beautifully decorated with balloons and a Happy Anniversary sign, a bottle of wine was delivered to our room with chocolate covered strawberries and a beautiful anniversary card. Our last night we were surprised with a gorgeous anniversary cake at Kimonos. Both Alex and Dennis made sure the wonderful staff did everything possible to make this the most memorable vacation ever. You MUST MUST MUST request these two beautiful souls. Truly genuine men with integrity and absolutely awesome personalities.

Turks beaches are beautiful; Big Box Vaca not so much

jburkeny (new york) on May 01, 2024

While Turks and Caicos is a beautiful place to visit, we should have trusted our gut to not stay at an all inclusive like Beaches. The room we stayed in at the Caribbean was dated and worn, specifically the bathroom. I wouldn’t even walk in there without sandals because it seemed dirty. The pools were not clean either and even our children were commenting that the pools were cloudy and had floating debris in them. The grounds were well maintained and there was a lot for kids to do so I can see why people come here, but I don’t think it’s for us. We travel a lot and our expectations are a little higher than Beaches was able to provide. The worst part was the service; with the exception of a few employees which I will mention below, it always seems like the staff was bothered when we would ask them for something. We traveled 2 families together and we all got the same feeling. Needless to say, for the cost of the trip (almost $10k for 1 week’s accommodations), we won’t be coming back. Now for the positive parts: -my friend and I had terrific massages at the spa in French village -my kids (10 and 12) loved all the things there was to do (waterpark, game room, tween club) -Neptunes restaurant (chef Andrea and her team made delicious food good enough to please us New Yorkers that we went back twice!)
