What a beautiful resort! Our family was so happy! Our room was spacious. Starbucks coffee in the room was a plus. Just need to bring your own creamer or put half and half in the fridge. You can make your own iced coffee in the room. The lighting in the bath was very bright. A real eye opener if you have to go in the middle of the night. That is the only complaint. The valet parking was great. We did not have to wait long, under ten minutes to get our rental, an Acadia. So happy with that choice! The ferry boats from The Swan to Epcot were wonderful. They dock at the back of Epcot so you are so close to Paris, Germany, Japan. An awesome way to go to dinner at one of these countries! Disney is a very special place with staff who want to make your stay a memorable one!

    Mixed feelings about the hotel

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. I'll try to break down the pros and cons: Pros: -Location is great. You can take a boat to Epcot or Hollywood Studios. You can walk (13 minutes) to Epcot and enter through the special entrance by France. You can walk just a few minutes to the Boardwalk Hotel which has restaurants and some entertainment. You're also a short drive to the other theme parks and Disney Springs. -Even though the hotel is not owned by Disney you still get the extra magic hours and the benefit of the location and Disney buses. -Cheaper than a Disney resort for the type of hotel that it is Cons: -Hotel is run-down. The entire hotel is in need of a renovation. It just looks old from the exterior, to the lobby, to the hallways, to the rooms. -We were celebrating our anniversary and I put that in the hotel notes. When we checked in, the agent commented on that and said that they would send something special to our room the day of our anniversary. They never sent anything! -I forgot something at home and while I was at the airport waiting to fly to Orlando, I called the Swan and asked if I could have packages delivered to the hotel. They said yes. I asked if there was a charge and they said no there was not. 2 days later when my package arrived, I found out there was in fact a $5 charge to receive a package. The person working there wasn't sympathetic to my story and told me basically "too bad, it's on the web page that there's a charge". -Plan to pay $25 a day for parking -Laundry facilities are in the Dolphin hotel which is nearby but still a walk. Not as convenient as having it in your own hotel.

I spent 2 nights at The Swan for a girls Disney trip. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Front desk staff and the concierge are all very friendly and helpful. I like that there are 2 queen beds in the room instead of doubles. The Swan is a pretty property and is very calm. There are multiple pools but nothing special in the pool areas. There is a boat shuttle to Epcot and the Boardwalk. A bus service will take you to the Magic Kingdom. Magic hours are included at this property. Breakfast at Fresh was delightful. I would stay at this property again.

Hotel and room were nice, check in easy and friendly. First 24 hours were great, then it went downhill. We had taken a day off to relax at the hotel between visiting parks. We got our bathing suits on and walked over to the cabana pool only to see it was shut down. There was no sign or notice about this and the open lappool was packed to the max with people. Eventually we were told the pool had to be closed for cleaning, no idea of how long it would be closed or any apology. Our second attempt to enjoy the hotel we were paying for was the evening movie that we waited around for and then were told was not working and cancelled. Our last day/night at the hotel the power went out. This time at least they posted something about it but it was hot, no TV, not able to see to pack up our bags. After waiting at the front desk for a LONG time the power came back on. I called to complain about how these seemingly "small" things really messed up our 2 days and eventually was credited $60. Apparently I didnt have to pay the resort fee those 2 days. Completely unimpressed with how this was handled or their appreciation that being at their hotel made our trip more difficult, not enjoyable. I could of stayed at any hotel and had a nicer, useable pool and power in 88 degree heat.

So happy my conference was here. Kids were able to hang out and enjoy the pools during the day. Disney shuttle was always there to take them to the other locations. There is a grocery store adjacent to the hotel, but VERY pricey. No complaints. One more thing, I had to have some materials sent via fedex and the hotel charged me a service fee for the retrieval of said items. As if they aren't making a lot of money already. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel.
