The place was beautiful the service was impeccable. All inclusive friendly staff. Many food options to choose from. Great Itinerary for things to do. If your going just to relax then you found your haven. Will go back again

This place was amazing. It is very tropical. The employees and staff are so friendly. The food was excellent. The beach was beautiful. My husband and I not only celebrated our honeymoon but also his birthday there. He was amazed with everything and already wants to go back. We had wedding/honeymoon pictures taken by Dream Art Photography while we were there. OMG!!! I've never in my life had such amazing beautiful captivating pictures as we had taken. I would highly recommend having them take pictures regardless if it is just a simple vacation.

We celebrated our 24th anniversary here and it was the best place we’ve ever visited in 24 years! The staff is amazing and so kind - and to have to walk around in masks and shields in that humidity and stay cheerful is amazing. Capacity was at 38% when we were there and at one point we had a pool all to ourselves. The drinks and food were amazing! The entertainment at the pool was great between an electric violin player, a flamenco dancer, guessing games, Zumba and spin classes in the pool. The beach was pure relaxation. The concierges bend over backward to get whatever you need. Kate in Building 4 was impressive! She just picks up the phone and gets whatever you want! Make sure to tip the staff - they deserve it. We were unused to getting pampered like this so now we are ruined. Every other place will be compared to the Valentin!

My wife and I stayed at the Valentin from Feb 18-Feb 22, and couldn't have been more pleased. We've been married for almost 14 years, have traveled all over the world, and this was, hands down, the best resort experience we've had yet. From the start... Check in was smooth and painless. It seems a little arduous when you just want to get to the pool, but they are very meticulous in their process. Lobby was very comfortable, and the drinks never stopped. Very smooth process. We were slightly concerned about the size of the resort (and the need for golf carts) but we found it extremely walkable. From the lobby and plaza to building 6 was less then a 5 minute walk. Very enjoyable. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. We stayed in a Golden Jr. Swimout. Amazing. Bed was comfortable, nice size room with two television sets, nice sitting area, and a well-appointed resort caliber bathroom. The patio area (adjacent to the pool) was clean and comfortable. It was swept off/cleaned daily, and the lounge covers were changed every-other day. There is also a thrice-daily housekeeping service. Absolutely impeccable. The Golden Pool area is a real gem. It is quiet, and a great way to spend the day relaxing with new friends (we made lots). Poolside service was phenomenal. You never waited for a drink. The main pool (went over there one day) was a great time as well. One end is much more of a "party vibe" with live music, a DJ, and lots of great activities. The other end, where we were, was quite and relaxing. Just a great overall atmosphere for whatever you were feeling that day. The food was some of the very best we've had. All the restaurants served wonderful meals. I can honestly say I didn't have a bad one the entire time. The food quality and service rivaled, in my opinion, other places we frequent such as Ruth's Chris, McCormick & Schmick, Morton's ect. Absolute 5 star experience. Evening entertainment on the Plaza was a wonderful time. Live bands, DJ during the breaks and afterwards, and a wait staff THAT LITERALLY RUNS to get you more drinks. If you want to dance, yup, it's your scene. Want to just chat quietly and enjoy the weather? Yup, that too. Cigars? It's your jam. Which brings me to the last point... The staff. I literally can't say enough about the staff. They are what make this place so special. They work hard, and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. Everyone, right down to the groundskeepers, smile and say hello. We tipped generously, and I would encourage you to do the same. I just can't say enough how wonderful they all were. Final analysis: We are in our late 30's to 40. We met a ton of other couples the same age, made friends quickly, and had a wonderful time with them. If you are looking for a Panama City foam party, this might not be your scene. But if you want to leave the kids at home, go lay in the sun, make a few friends of similar ages and interests, and still tie one on with Don Julio shots, this is your place. We are already planning our return. Would rate 6 out of 5 stars if possible.

This was my 8th visit in 6 years. My girlfriend and I are "essential employees" so during the Epidemic, we worked our butts off, and just needed to get away. The resort went over and above to make everyone safe, without sacrificing the comforts we love. That being said, I really missed the lunch buffet. There were a few people that really stood out this trip. Luis and Naomi at Le Marche. Luis was super nice, and joking around (which we love). Naomi was one of the managers. She stopped by and asked if she could speak to us about how we thought they were doing with everything going on, she recognized me from my multiple stays. You can tell when talking to her, she loves her job, and her employer, she is always a delight! Mar Tierra houses two of my favorite waiters, Darvelio, and Samuel. Our drinks never went empty, and the smiles never left our faces. No trip is complete without seeing my favorite bartender, Veronica. If you have never been, ask where she is, and go have a few drinks with her. Tell her to surprise you with a drink, you won't be disappointed! We are returning two more times in 2021, so I will add new reviews if things have changed. If you have never been to the Valentin, take the gamble. It's the perfect resort. If you want to just be lazy, and enjoy the quiet, there are spots for that. If you want to party it up a little more, head over to main pool and you can usually find a group to join in some festivities. Nightlife is the same way. There are spots to relax and just enjoy your company, or hit the dance floor with DJ Jerry and tear it up. Never be shy here. Talk to everyone! I have made so many friends from all over the US that I still stay in touch with, just from stopping and asking what drink they were drinking cause it looked good!
