Our first Christmas away and first in Mexico. What can I say from the first encounter in the lobby to the enthusiastically helpful bellhop who took our bags to our rooms and gave us the orientation; every member of staff we encountered was helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble and service in every aspect was prompt and efficient. The resort itself is beautiful, in particular we loved the beach and the pools. We were also excited to see the wildlife in particular the coatis and iguanas who roam taking little notice of us! The food was exceptional and we loved visiting the different restaurants. All of the food was wonderful, could not fault any of it and very much something for everyone. Again staff were extremely helpful in getting you seating at busy times; for example on one occasion when we weren't able to wait for a table in L'Olivo, the front of house person contacted L'Alsace to reserve a table for us - it was unexpected and very much appreciated. Finally the accommodation. We had three rooms between us; two junior deluxe rooms and a golden room. All were fabulous, immaculate and spacious, oh and quite possibly the best bed I've ever slept in! Christmas Day was lovely, we had lunch in the buffet Le Marché; which became a fast favourite with my father-in-law on account of the wonderful desserts! The atmosphere is relaxed, with staff being very proactive in terms of giving you a lift on the golf carts if you need it, or a drink when you're by the pool or just saying ¡Hola! in passing. To sum it up a lot of attention to detail features at the Valentin Imperial Riviera Maya and this is what makes it special in my opinion.

We stayed for a week over Christmas in Dec 2025 for our honeymoon/holiday celebrations - and we cannot WAIT to go back. The food, service, room, and whole property were just incredible. I've been to all inclusive properties before, and this one blew me away!! We love the IMPERIAL BAND, and had especially great experiences at L'Alsace restaurant and Don Miguel bar. We were worried we would miss some traditional holiday celebrations, but the hotel delivered - holiday shows, an amazing Christmas Day buffet for lunch (I'm still thinking about the roast pork), and then an aqua show?! So fun. My husband was shocked at how incredible the service was - we planned an offsite trip and it was completely taken care of, like magic! Our singular complaint is that you need to scan a QR code with your phone for menus at all the restaurants - we were trying to unplug, and that made it difficult. We are already planning to come back next year, and bring friends!

It was my first time staying here, and I could not have loved it more! The service is great. Every morning we went to Mar & Tierra where Isidro got us sat immediately, and had our drinks ready for us before we even asked. After, we would go to the beach where Teresa offered top notch service, working hard brining drinks to all guests. Every evening we went to Don Miguel’s for a drink before dinner. Our server Alan was extremely attentive and always friendly. Just left, and already can’t wait to come back next year!

Absolutely stunning. First time staying at this place after some recommendations. Service, food, and the rooms are over the top nice. Great atmosphere with something for everyone. Great employees that recognized me and my family after a few days with Alan and Isidro being over the moon great. Only complaint is that if you want to go explore Cancun proper it is around a 30 minute taxi ride but this is a non-issue with how great this resort it.

The Valentin is in my opinion the BEST resort! We have been to Mexico over 20x and this will be our 13 time at this resort. The Valentin is a beautiful resort, it has several pools, which gives you the opportunity to be at the “party” pool or sit next to a pool in a quieter area. If you don’t want to sit by a pool the ocean is also available. The beach is absolutely beautiful and the waves are minimal, which makes it great for swimming or cooling off. All of the rooms are great, there is no need to upgrade unless you wanted an ocean front room. The have a good variety of restaurants: Mexican, Italian, Japanese, French, Indonesian, steak house, or the teppanyaki show at the Japanese restaurant. There is also a coffee shop that offers several food items, and various bars around the resort. Several things set the Valentin apart from other resorts. I believe the service is the number one. From the moment you get there, you are treated like royalty. Every staff member is just amazing! Some that stood out this trip are Isidro from the restaurant by the beach, Jose from the Italian restaurant, Alejandro and Wilberth. Teresa and Amelia from the beach restaurant. My absolute favorite employee is Dora, we met her 9 years ago, she is one of the reasons we keep coming back. Dora checks in with guests daily to make sure they are having a great time and enjoying their vacation. She is more than an employee to me, she is now a really good friend. If you get a chance to go to Cancun, you will not be disappointed with this resort.
