My wife and I stayed at your resort from 4/29-5/6. Beautiful room, beautiful grounds, stunning beach, and great food. You have a wonderful group of employees (except for one-I'll get to that). We met a very charming man-Arturo Lincona, who is part of the group that sells the “Exclusive” memberships. We made a friend for life with Arturo-he is a wonderful person. He kept asking us to take the “Exclusive” membership tour and presentation, which we did towards the end of our stay. Arturo explained the benefits of the program to us, and took us to see the rooms set aside for “Exclusive” members. He then took us to the “closing room”-no other name fits. It was there that we met Jose, who I guess was a sales manager or closer. He took us back to another room, and suddenly, I felt like I was buying a used car from a gravel lot from a salesman that had white patent leather shoes. He took out an iPad and scribbled 11,000, and asked me “do you have $11,000? and I told him no. He then crossed out the $11,000, and wrote $7500 beneath it. Same question-”do you have $7,500”? Not for this, I told him, and he just got nasty. He turned to Arturo and berated him in front of us, and Jose told him, “Don’t EVER bring people like these to me again!!” My heart went out to Arturo. Not only did Jose chew him out right in front of us, he made us feel pretty second class for a minute, until I realized that he had no sales, sales management or people skills. He is just a bully, and an extremely poor choice to represent your program. He has no business even working for you. We were interested in the program until he turned on Arturo and us. Now I wouldn’t take it if it was free if he was involved. It truly soured a wonderful experience at your resort. If we decide to come back, I will call and ask if he is still working there. If he is, we will go to a different resort. We did not fly 1700 miles and spend thousands of dollars to be bullied by this extremely sloppy, disgusting, and unqualified man. If you do decide to go there, DO NOT take the “Exclusive Membership” tour.

Loved everything about this resort! If you have kids or a family this is a great place to stay. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The food is good and the entertainment was fun. You can't beat the all inclusive price. Would highly recommend!

I had visited Catalonia Royal Tulum before and had a great time this time we wanted to try the playa maroma and it was very disappointing. First not all rooms are the same. Some have been remodeled but some have not. I understand that because of COVID they have a limit of guest and for that reason not every restaurant is open but for 2 days they only had buffet for dinner which was horrible. There is not that much to choose from. The other days there was one restaurant open other than the buffet but you can not make reservation ahead of time you need to wait until 5pm to be put on the list and waiting time was over 3 hours. Breakfast was ok and lunch you could choose from tacos, pasta, pizza, hotdogs or hamburgers. One day they didn’t even had ketchup or any toppings for either hotdogs or hamburgers it was the bun and meat and that’s it. Some staff members were really nice but others were really rude. Orlando the front desk guy was rude every time we ask something. The guy serving tacos and another serving hotdogs were also very rude. One day one of our friends went at 5:40 to ask for a hotdog and didn’t want to give it to her when they stop serving at 6pm. There is no food from 5pm to 6pm so plan on having something before then. Our room was very humid and it smelled like mold. We actually got sick and we believe it was because of that. One day our bed sheets had black stains on them and they had to go and change them. Bed was not comfortable at all. Our mini fridge never worked even after asking for them to fix it. There are animals called coatis all over the resort and you have to be careful when you eat or leave your things when you are at the pool. One of those animals started looking inside my purse and they would take the food. My husband got bitten by one. When we ask staff if they had rabbies no one seemed to know. One of our friends that was with us is a doctor and he suggest to get the rabbies shot just in case. If you stay with them more than 3 days they could give you the COVID test for free if you travel back to the US but make the appointment a head of time. No one told us this and we tried to make a day before and they didn’t have any appointment available but that was our fault for not asking before. The girl from guest services was so nice and she called a lab to come that day to do the testing at the hotel for $50. Overall it was not what we expected. Specially the food. Very disappointed. They should let you know when making reservations that they will have only one dinner most of the days.

This is our second time visiting this Resort, which is the reason we returned for second visit. All was good, friendly staff, beautiful beach, breakfast and lunch were tasty, as we were in the Privileged section of the Resort and ate most meals at Bloved. Then their was dinner....over an hour wait for 3 nights and the last night at the Mexican Restaurant (which is small), the hostess said there were no more seating...this was at 8:00. Finally ordered room service and had dinner at 10:30...until they work this out, we will not return.

We stayed for 11 days with another couple and absolutely loved it! Loved the jungle path with the soothing music and feisty little critters that you had to walk on to get to the lobby and buffet! We stayed in building 6 that was close to the beach and pool. The rooms were spacious, clean, sufficient air conditioning (needed a blanket for sleeping) and the cleaning staff did an awesome job of cleaning and stocking our fridge with what we wanted! We were ground floor and the coati would come on our patio to visit every time we were out! The pool area had plenty of seating and the waitstaff was superb! The pool was cool how it had all the different sections and depths. The pool bar was open while we were there! The beach was absolutely gorgeous! Yes some days had more sea grass than others but that’s nature and they always had people out every morning raking it away! Even on the beach the waitstaff was ALWAYS there to get you a refill! Enrique was our most favorite bartender/server! We all found a favorite drink and thought the quality was very good! The entertainment staff were so fun and personable! Shout out to Balam who was our favorite! We joined in on almost everyone of their activities! There wasn’t as many or all day long activities but I totally understand with COVID they can’t afford a full staff and they did a great job with what they could! Their morning stretching classes were the best way to start your morning! The food was really good too! Not all the restaurants were open while we were there but the Asian one was our favorite (ordering from the menu)! The buffet was good too for breakfast and dinner. We never went there for lunch. We just stayed and ate by the pool having savory crepes or tacos! Yum! Wish there would have been more variety by the pool but Covid again! We tipped all the time and were saddened to see so many people NOT tipping! If you can afford an all inclusive vacation I believe you can afford to tip the hard working people that are making your trip even better! We weren’t privileged and really didn’t see how that was worth the extra money?! Oh the shops on the resort surprised us! I’m used to getting gouged when shopping at those and they were surprising affordable! We bought tshirts, bandaids and souvenirs and didn’t break the bank! I would definitely recommend this place for families and couples, not party hardy youngsters! Also not once did we have a timeshare person bother us!! The Covid testing was quick and easy too! The front desk tried to have us pay for a reservation for dinner, ah NO! We just showed up early and got right in! After our morning beach walks we loved to stop at the pool bar and get a really good coffee!
