What an excellent resort! I stayed here with a friend recently and I also stayed here in June 2012(some renovations was going on at the time). I location was great. Me and my friends were able to walk to the mall fairly quickly. We enjoyed the pool. It’s a beachfront resort and I have to say this beach was the calmest beach out of the 5 we visited. The staff was friendly and accommodating. We rented a car and I do have to say that I was expensive for parking if you actually plan to come and go from the garage. The room we shared was subpar but I didn’t pay a lot for it considering I didn’t plan on saying in the room much. All in all a good experience.

Hilton properties are usually a solid choice. The Hilton Waikiki Beach fits the bill. Room was great (I paid the extra for the ocean view and it was lovely). It is nice that they have a 24 hour restaurant - I get up super early and nothing is open for breakfast so this was great. They also have a 24 hour fitness center. Again, that always scores high marks from me. The Hilton app allowed me to check-in and do digital key which is a blessing to skip the line after a loooong travel day. It also allowed me to make a couple of special requests- early housekeeping, a shower cap and foam pillows. The only couple of cons - housekeeping was hit or miss - some days they refilled the in-room coffee, some days no. As a Hilton Honors member, I get water and a couple of extra drinks. So, you can redeem them at either the “to go” area or the gift shop. Well, I stopped at the “to go” area, grabbed a can of soda, no one was there. I should have just left the ticket. Instead I go to the gift shop to explain the situation and the very crabby woman in the store who yelled at me like I stole the soda. I was insulted. I told her I just wanted to leave my ticket. WTF?

Was abit worried after some of the negative reviews but was really happy with our Travel agents choice of hotel. Our ocean view room on the 21st floor had a great view. Beds were comfortable & house keeping did a great job with the cleaning. Location was great only a street back from the beach. Central to shopping & restaurants. Bus stops outside to Ala Moana mall. Valet guys were great with booking our shuttle to Waikele Outlet Shops @ $16 return. They also booked our shuttle to the airport @ $12 one way. Pool on the 10th floor was always too windy so only went there once in 2 weeks. Resort fee of $30 plus tax makes it expensive when you stay 2 weeks as we did.

    Great Location!

This Hilton is a very well maintained property. Our room was plenty spacious, well kept and very comfortable beds. We did a travel package through Costco which included a free breakfast every morning. Fresh fruit, muffins, eggs etc...and a different meat every day. We had a nice ocean view and were just a block from Waikiki Beach. Close to a number of very good restaurants and within walking distance to the Honolulu Zoo and several shopping malls.

It was a very nice place to stay but honestly not quite what I expected for a Hilton. The bed and towels were always clean and nice and that was appreciated! Sucks breakfast wasnt included when that is usually advertised for Hilton, but it was Hawaii...resort fees...lower than many resorts on Oahu, but also disappointing since it was not really a resort, just a hotel with a nice pool.
