We read a lot of bad reviews about Atlantis Resort before booking our stay. We were kind of worried but we still went ahead and booked. We travel a lot and knew that if all the bad reviews we read were not true we had to share our experience with everyone then. We will say though, we like our All Inclusive vacations that's for sure, but going to Atlantis we knew we had to do some research prior to save a few bucks. Here goes... We stayed at Coral Towers. Check in went smooth. We booked directly online with Atlantis website, no 3rd parties. Our room was ready and clean. The room we booked online was the room we were greeted with. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Donavan, I believe his name was, at the front desk was awesome!! Thanks so much to him for greeting us well as well as saying farewell in the end! On our way to the hotel from the airport we took a taxi. We asked him to stop at a grocery store and liquor store on the way. We were charged $72 USD for that ride. It was worth it though. Grabbed some soda, snacks, milk for the baby and booze ect...highly recommend stopping at grocery store on your way. The lobbies at the Coral, Beach and Royal were beautiful. The 25 pools were very clean, like seriously 25 pools at Atlantis resort! Crazy! Only complaint, the lazy river seemed to have much garden debris in there but not sure that can be avoided. Seeing turtles, sharks, manta rays swimming on the resort very cool! We brought a cooler backpack as one of our carry ons, on the airplane and travel coffee cups to make and carry our beverages and alcohol throughout the day on our trip. Saved tons of money there. The travel coffee cups kept our drinks nice and cold too! Food at Shark bites huge portions and the chicken nuggets were actually chicken not processed meat. Worth the money. Murrays restaurant at Marina Village very good food, good breakfast and portions were huge, worth your money.. Anthony's a restaurant located down the street outside of Atlantis resort was good! Recommend the lobster tails such a good price! Its a 5 min walk from Coral Towers lobby but great place and prices were better than Atlantis resort restaurants of course. Also there is a local liquor store called Bristol in the same little plaza as Anthony's restaurant and a little corner store/pharmacy. Ice cream and breakfast sandwiches at the Sun & Ice cafe in the Coral Towers really good. The Dive, near the pool at Royal Towers good chicken wings. The Fancy Sushi restaurant inside Royal Towers awful. Definitely need to hire better chefs and the prices way too high. Same goes for Chop Stix restaurant. The soups on the menu awful, need to be revamped and prices dropped. Recommend the Buffet at Royal Towers though. We are not huge buffet people but after trying a few of the "fancy" restaurants inside the resort, we wish we ate at the buffet a couple of times instead. We ate there on our last night when we realized too late. The price of the buffet is pretty steep and could also be dropped a bit. I mean realistically even if they drop the prices on all the restaurant menus, the Resort will still make tons of money. Nice staff at all the locations I mentioned. Never any concern with any of the staff on our trip. Ferry boat ride was cool. $8 per person round trip from Paradise Island to Downtown Nassau. Drops you right at the straw market to find souvenirs. Make sure to tip the ferry tour guides though. Nice guys. Did a little self snorkel at the Lagoon at Atlantis. The entrance to the Lagoon closest to The Dig, was ok but it was by far the dirtiest beach section we encountered on Atlantis Resort property. Garbage and pieces of trash from people, so rude. Would be nice for people to pick up their trash. Also one big problem are people not removing their beach towels from their chairs around the pools and beaches to let others know the chair is now available. With so many towel dumping stations located everywhere around you, no reason to not pick up after yourself. You must check out Atlantis 3 huge Aquariums! So cool! The amount of money and time it took to build all these awesome things to see at Atlantis Resort is unbelievable. You understand why you pay the price you do per night to stay at Atlantis. Of course we wouldn't want to see higher prices than they already are though lol!! One Aquarium is located at The Beach Tower outside, 2nd Aquarium - Predators Lagoon - beside Coral Pool, so awesome underwater tunnel!!! 3rd Aquarium located at the Lobby of Royal Towers. Make sure to go inside that Aquarium down under its called The Dig Amazing! Lifeguards at every pool at the ocean and beaches as well. So many staff members, so many workers, what a huge production to run Atlantis Resort!. If you yourself do not say Hi and or ask how are you to the staff then don't be offended if the staff does not do the same. Make eye contact, say hi. I mean the staff sees thousands of guests a day. They see thousands of cruise ships a year. You cant expect all the staff to greet you but they sure will if you greet them. The staff were amazing and I sure hope the 15% gratuity we paid on every bill during our stay as well as the housekeeping fees actually go to the workers. Atlantis is truly a masterpiece. A work of art. Whoever thought of and designed it did an incredible job. If you travel a lot, you will appreciate and understand why you pay the room prices you do. The fancy restaurant prices though could be dropped some. That would put the icing on the stay! Just know going to Atlantis is not cheap and be prepared. Be smart.

We came here (wife and 6 year old boy and 4 year old girl) because of the free nights I received as a platinum Ceasars military players card holder. 3 free nights and discounted casino rate for 2 nights. Yea, there is a resort fee of $55 a night, deal with it. There is so much stuff to do here. You pay a $30 resort fee in vegas and get nothing for it. The beach, AMAZING. lifeguards on duty, plenty of chairs with shade, and great water with fish! There are locals selling stuff along the beach but a polite "No thank you" and they are pleasant. The pools, AMAZING. Tons of pools. The pools right next to the beach tower are closed, but there isn't anybody staying in the tower, nothing special about those 2 pools. The food, it's ok. We ate off property mostly due to the cost of food at the resort. Bring your own snacks, food, dry cereal, jerky. Drinking water is safe from the tap, plus they give you two 20oz bottles free per day. The Marina pizza is A+. Check out Dunkin Donuts or Anthony's for breakfast. 5 minute walk. The marine life is INSANE. So much to see. Make sure you check out The Dig. Very cool area with tons of fish and sharks. So much to see all over the property, even the pigeons that visit daily on our balcony (Pidgey Two Toes is pretty cool, give him a fry or two) Staff was great. Walking to breakfast we passed the employees walking from the employee parking ramp. 95% of them said good morning to us as we walked by. There were a couple people on property that weren't super friendly but not everybody loves their job. But Shirley, she was amazing. She is a house keeper that we saw multiple times and she was soooooo friendly. You will spot her with her signature purple lipstick, she is a great person. The casino was fine. $10-$500 minimum table games, standard slots. Dealers were great and so were the pit bosses. Free drinks help. There is a 12% value added tax on everything on the island. There is also a 15% gratuity added to EVERY purchase on property. We took the water ferry to downtown. Didn't get to explore much because the kids were tired. They shut down at 6pm. Life jackets were scarce but the tour guide on board was great. Make sure to tip them at the end. Overall we had a great time as a family. This was our first real vacation as a family and it was perfect. There are fees and the prices are crazy high, but if you that going into it all is good. We will be back!

I don’t even know where to begin with how terrible our stay was here. This entire resort is tired and a waste of money. I anticipated high prices which are standard on islands but what I didn’t realize was how inadequate the service and quality would be. The room was not clean, half the resort was closed without any mention online or when booking, they have cruise ship guest come to the resort which crowds the pools, the beach guys won’t help you get a chair (even while I was carrying my baby), limited food options for children although they claim to be family friendly, random employees coming into my room mid day while my baby is sleeping without any reason to enter room, doors all slam at night and you can hear everyone in the hallway, it goes on and on. This is allegedly a nice place and they don’t even have complimentary coffee in the mornings - with a daily resort fee? For what? This is Las Vegas meets a cruise ship at high end prices, I’ll never be back and not sure how they stay in business. If you have any travel experience whatsoever, trust me you’ll be disappointed at Atlantis.

Read a lot of reviews before coming so we were prepared. Stopped on the way from the airport to get alcohol, snacks and water and saved a whole lot of money ! The first room we got was not great for a water view room. I'm a gold Bonvoy member and asked for my upgrade and they say nothing was available. Well after the second night of kids running the hallways until after midnight I went down and talked with Cameron at the front desk. He was able to get my upgrade to an absolutely beautiful corner suite overlooking the resort and ocean. It made our trip fantastic ! Also food and drink prices are crazy high so I recommend walking down the street to Anthony's for Happy Hour and Viola's for lunch or dinner at a reasonable price.

We had heard good things about this place and the Coral was a more cost effective nice option, however you get what you pay for. The staff was 50/50 - some were happy and kind and others seemed to not want to be there. I am a Marriott Gold member but they would not give me an upgrade even though I know there were rooms available. Our biggest complaint was the room. They just renovated the rooms and they were nice BUT we could hear everything - the people above us and next to us- the doors slam shut and the whole room shakes. I had to ask the people next to us to please try to be more quiet. It was horrible almost like plywood, no sound barriers, we could even hear the TV. Don’t get me wrong, my kids loved Atlantis but my husband and I didn’t sleep for 4 nights so we were miserable. We also were not aware of the hours of the property- it didn’t open until 10am and closed at 6:30/7pm so we had to wait most of the morning to swim and then at night wanted to just relax by the pool but it closed at 7!! I’ve never heard of resort pools closing at 7. Some of the restaurants were closed too but that may have been a seasonal thing as we went in October. Over all for the money we spent we were disappointed. It would have been so much better if we could have slept and they had spent the money during the renovation to soundproof the rooms. Also a few of the rides were not open the whole time we were there and no one seemed to know why.
