Stunning hotel room views of Niagara Falls!

chefboyalmasri (Arkansas) on Dec 06, 2024

Came for the night to spend the day on the Canadian side to get the full day worth of the Niagara Falls Experience! A couple things to start off: the front desk staff was very professional/nice and the location of the hotel is excellent! Check in was very quick and smooth and you’re within close proximity to food, shopping, and entertainment. Moving forward, the view from the room gave us a view of the American and Canadian falls and it was truly breathtaking. This part alone gave the experience could have made the property a 5 star review. Additionally, the view from the restaurant where breakfast was served was a breathtaking view. One of the main reasons this property received a 4 star review from me was for the PARKING and the rooms are outdated/worn. Rooms were still clean, so don’t be discouraged in that regard. But the prices being charged for parking was absolutely egregious so please be mindful of this when making plans and plan accordingly. Overall, GREAT experience and would stay again!

Don't expect to sleep in on check-out day.

lem_on416 (Toronto, Canada) on Nov 22, 2024

I'll start with the good things. The bedroom part of the room was quite nice. Linens clean and fresh, mattresses comfortable. Good quality blackout drapes. The bathroom was ok, but the shower was very small and the toilet was old and didn't function properly (we had to take the lid off and fiddle with the chain in the tank to get it to flush.) They also must have moisture problems, because I was greeted by a silverfish upon check-in. (At least it wasn't a cockroach.) The lobby was quite uninviting with very bright fluorescent lights. We were in a large queue, as it's a busy hotel. I felt that they could do more to make it a more pleasant experience while you wait for the very impersonal check-in. We did love that the hotel is connected to the OLG Stage (we were in town to see a show) as well as restaurants and shops (and the casino, if that's your thing!) I could get over the little nitpicky things that I mentioned above, but the event that caused a lower score happened in the morning. We woke up to a slip under the door with our receipt, which is totally fine and quite typical. We had been out late the night before, so we both decided to go back to bed for a bit, since we RARELY get to sleep in in our day-to-day lives. At about 9am, there was a loud pounding at the door. Before I even got to the door (in a t-shirt and underwear, no bra, i might add,) a male member of staff entered the room and said "oh, you didn't answer so I thought you were gone. When are you checking out?" I thought we had misunderstood checkout time, but he confirmed that it was indeed 11, so we told him that we'd be out by then and he left. I texted the help number about what I thought was an unusual situation and they said it was their protocol to see if people had left their rooms. No. We have paid for this room until 11am, so we should not be disturbed before then. I've stayed in a lot of hotels in my life and never, ever have I been disturbed in the morning of check out. Not even in the other hilton property we stayed in last week. Anyway, by then we were already woken up, so we just got ready and left with a bad taste in our mouths.
