Poor experience

tombS2912NC (Seattle, Washington) on Jul 05, 2024

Unfortunately, this was one of our favorites but after this trip I doing I will be staying here anymore. Started off with poor service, no water because construction but wasn't mention at check in, here drilling and banging at 8am, and then during our last day we had no hot water.

Booked 3 rooms for our family,1 had non-working lights in the bathroom, 1 had a ceiling dripping water and 1 never got the room cleaned 1 day! The last day/night no hot water! Quite disappointed!!??! I did appreciate the free coffee and 3:30 free happy hour.??

Not thrilled

While billed as "luxury" there was a long wait (for me checking out, for others checking in). There's a Keurig coffee maker - but no k-cups. Coffee was served in the lobby but who wants to board an elevator before Caffeine? There's a $75 charge for attempting to use a fridge filled with garbage treats I wouldn't want. Room phone didn't work, bulb was going in and out, one of the shower heads was weak to the point of useless, and there was a blank spot in the mini-bar so had to use my cell to call the desk to be sure I wasn't going to be charged for a missing item. You have to go to a different floor for ice, the rooms are numbered so that you might think you are in some skyscraper on the 80th floor - but really it's just the eighth floor with no view. The curtains wouldn't close completely so there was no "blackout out" and the door took an incredible amount of force (and slamming/noise) to close and lock -- which also meant listening to others slam their doors shut. The couch in the room was uncomfortable to the point of useless -- I get they need furniture that will withstand thousands of guests, but this thing is so hard and uncomfortable it will be here well after the apocalypse. Nothing about Nobu felt any more impressive than a very basic hotel -- and at least in a basic hotel room you might get a cup of coffee, some space in the fridge, black out curtains that work... etc.

Nice but didn't "WOW" us

Laura M on Jun 28, 2024

We had the king suite and while the suite was really big and looked nice, there were just some things that were missing. It was almost like they remodeled an old hotel to look nice, but left out the minor details that made it look like an old hotel that was remodeled. Full kitchen but no microwave? Sink, but no dishes or silverware? Room service food was not worth the price, the steam shower did not work, the water pressure was horrible, the bathtub drain plug was broken so couldn't use the amazing, huge bathtub. We were on our babymoon so the one thing we were looking forward to. The bed was super comfy and our view was pretty good. Everything was clean just didn't "wow" us. We enjoyed our stay all things considered but probably wouldn't stay here again.
