Apologies for the delay in posting-we visited during Semana Santa and I'm only getting to this now. P.B. Mazatlan is on the smaller side and I'd consider that a good thing. For anyone with mobility issues, it would be much easier to get around than P.B. Emerald Bay. Both are great, but if long hikes to the restaurants or the beach aren't your thing, P.B. Mazatlan is perfect. The beach was very nice, as mentioned in other reviews. It was kept clean, water was clear and there were enough waves to make it interesting: I bodysurfed right in front of the hotel every day. There were a lot of surf lessons being conducted from the beach just to the north, which gives you an idea of the waves: they were reliable and almost constant, but nothing so big that a novice surfer or average swimmer would be in danger. I did look at the beach at Emerald Bay and the rocks weren't as bad as we'd been led to believe. They were there-I'd definitely scout before diving in headfirst-but they weren't everywhere. I did hear from some guests at Emerald Bay that there were jellyfish/medusa around at times. They were not a problem at all at P.B. Mazatlan. The food was excellent: not a single average meal; all were great. The breakfast buffet had some amazing variety; anyone could find something they like. the Sunday buffet had even more options. Lunch, whether in Cilantro's or the grill by the pool, was always excellent-some great seafood on offer. For dinner, the Italian restaurant was outstanding, as were the special nights in the buffet-you just can't go wrong here. I've saved the most important for last: the staff. They were truly amazing and are the reason we hope to return during the upcoming Winter. I hesitate to mention them by name only because I don't want to overlook anyone. The bellmen-the first people we see upon arrival-were great: they knew the area so well and made sure we were paying a fair price and in good hands when we took a taxi, a pulmonia or a bus. We were fortunate to have Sofia and Gris handle our check in upon arrival. We got there early but they managed to have a room ready for us. We saw them most every day and they were always helpful and their friendly manner always put me in a great mood; lovely ladies. The restaurant staff were equally helpful and friendly. I'd like to highlight the work of Oscar, Adriano, Ramon and Miguel in the breakfast buffet-our day always got off to a great start because of them. Jose Maria and Miguel in Cilantro's also did great work: they know the food so well and always took great care of us. Jordi made the days fly with the games he had around the pool. Poker, blackjack, bingo: everyone had a great time. I can't imagine staying anywhere else on our next trip to Mazatlan. This place had everything we could possibly need, especially the amazing people.
Great Resort with a beautiful beach

We had a fantastic stay at Pueblo Bonito Mazatlán Resort and would happily return. The staff truly made the experience special—everyone was welcoming and attentive, and Oscar in particular stood out for his friendly, helpful service on the beach. He made sure we were always comfortable and well taken care of. The beach access is a huge highlight. It has a lively, authentic public beach atmosphere, paired with the resort’s large palapas and very comfortable beach chairs, so you get the best of both worlds—local energy with plenty of relaxation. Our room was spacious and inviting, with beautiful ocean views and a small private deck. Getting around was also very convenient, with easy access to buses and other transportation into central Mazatlán. Overall, a wonderful mix of great service, comfort, and location. Highly recommended!
We Will Be Back!!

We have been to this resort before and we really like it and the city of Mazatlan in which it is located. When we arrived we were greeted by the very friendly bell staff who helped us with our bags so we could check in. Check in was a breeze with no line and they allowed us to check in early!! This was so nice after a long flight. Our room was just beautiful and spacious. Although we had ocean view we had a great view of the ocean and the pool. The room was always kept extremely clean and housekeeping were very friendly as well! The only thing we missed was having a fridge in the room, but not a big deal. The food is Very Good here. 1 buffet and 3 restaurants in the evening. You only need to make a reservation for 1 restaurant which you can do any time of day. In fact we went once without a reservation and got in. Also a beach restaurant which has really good food as well. Unfortunately they dont have chicken wings any more, that was missed. They were so good!! Please bring them back(: To mention they also have a little shop were you can get free water pop sandwiches ect. Very convenient. The service in all the resturants and bars is outstanding ( as is the whole resort) you could not ask for better. My husband has celiacs disease therefore cannot have gluten. All staff were very aware of this and asked us even before we sat down about allergies. We'll done!!! We did have a problem at the sister resort about the gluten allergy which was not handled well. I did reach out to management and was happy with the way it was handled in the end. I also will mention there is an up charge usually for steak and it was almost double of what it was the previous year. Other wise very happy with the food. They have two pools and loungers with shade on the beach. We usually always were on the beach and did not have trouble finding chairs. There always seemed to be space at the pool as well although the prime spots were nabbed early. There were never any really drunk obnoxious people, or music blasting which we appreciate. The only disappointing thing was twice when we went in the afternoon they had run out of towels. Mazatland is beautiful, I encourage you to get off the resort and explore! Didi is like Uber, very inexpensive. Pueblo bonito has free passes to the aquarium, alot if not all of the animals mammals are rescued. Very neat place! And free! We also took a food tour and went to stone island. Dont do stone island as a tour do it yourself so cheap! Also there is a free shuttle to their sister resort. It is very nice and quite a bit larger. It is out of town, but only a 15 min or so bus ride. I love this place because it is on the smaller side, large clean rooms, excellent resturants, phenomenal staff and its right in town so its easy to explore. We felt Extremely safe at the resort and in town. I would highly recommend and we will be back!!
