First visit to Mazatlan!

WSUfan67 (Waukee, Iowa) on Sep 21, 2023

This was our first trip to MZT and this property. Our room was nice and the staff was consistently friendly and helpful. There really isn’t a swimming beach, but guests can visit the sister property by free shuttle and enjoy the beach there, which is very nice. The staff really goes out of their way to help guests. The property is located on the edge of town, which makes it quieter but further away from the Golden Zone shops and restaurants. Plan on taking a cab to the shopping and dining areas if you choose to go.

Great hotel

eva m (Torrance, California) on Sep 19, 2023

Great Hotel on zona dorada like 20-30 mins to Plaza machado(downtown) or Malecón. Pulmonias(taxis) will charge $150-200 pesos (8-15 dlls). There is a lot of restaurants, bars, stores close by and it’s safe to walk day and night. The beach is beautiful and you can swim on it. There is not a lot of vendors and they will not bother you unless you do call them. 4 restaurants Cilatros a la carta (if they don’t have it, they will try the best to make it) with AC( Pedro and Giovanni at the bar are the best, our drinks were never empty and they were on top of the food or anything we needed it KUDOS). The Mexican restaurant (breakfast buffet), it was close for dinner during our stay just breakfast buffet, it’s a small area with basic foods. The Italian (needs reservation) yummy food but the atmosphere is a little slow, more for a romantic dinner (try the meat plate). The sushi restaurant next to the pool is open to air -no AC-, yummy as well but it was to hot during our stay. The rooms are big enough with amazing beach views, small kitchenette, refrigerator(they don’t fill it ), TV with English/Spanish channels, nice shower, buy or bring shampoo & conditioner ( there is an Oxxo right in front of the hotel if you forget anything). Our room was always clean and spotless all the time- thank you Aida room 346-. Everybody was super nice and we felt at home from the moment we get out of from taxi. We will definitely come back. I wasn’t expecting the hotel to be that nice as I saw the reviews but it was super nice, comfy, great customer service. I will suggest to management to have hard plastic cups for the pool and room service as there is a lot of plastic waist in the hotel, add some drinking water stations in each floor and at the entrance, have a coffee machine available or open a coffee/deli somewhere as all inclusive( it was hard to find just coffee and the one outside the Buffett wasn’t hot and not strong). Have some nighttime entertainment few times a week (everything is close by but for the families with kids).

Great visit!

AmyK3368 on Sep 12, 2023

We loved our time at PB Mazatlan and wish we could have stayed longer. We were there from a Sunday to a Tuesday. There were tons of people checking out on Sunday which made for a great pool experience on Sunday- TONS of empty chairs. There are two great pools to choose from, although I felt like one of the pools was more popular with the kids, so we stayed at the other pool. We had great poolside service, restaurants were wonderful and our room was perfect- we had a junior suite with ocean view. The bathroom was a great size and the shower was huge! They even upgraded us to a king bed on check in after seeing that I’m pregnant :) Poolside menu has lots of options and we did that for lunch twice. The only “complaints” were a lack of mini fridge in the rooms (always nice to have a place to put water, especially when it’s hot!) and that the pools were fairly warm, although there’s not a ton you can do about that when you come in the blazing heat of September. We will definitely be back to PB Mazatlan!
