TERRIBLE!!!Do not book HERE!!

Upon arrival, the front desk required you to wait for hours in line(No Air Conditioning in Lobby). The Resort is infested with BUGS and the smell of dead animal is unbearable. The rooms are old and have mold throughout , poorly clean (sheets stained), air conditioning doesn’t work. The toilet had urine on it at check in.. Please do not book swim out style jf you have a family, they only have KING Rooms !!! The location of hotel looks unsafe! The manager agreed to allow me and my family to check and find a different resort after issues in room. However, the resort never refunded our money and manager is now saying he did not agree to refund after we returned to US! DONOT stay here .. It’s unsanitary!

28 of us stayed here for a family reunion. I have mixed reviews. Resort is nice but some rooms did not have working air conditioning. Think they control the air conditioning. We called 5 times and after 3rd visit, they opened the breaker box and fused 2 wires together and put it in a hole and it worked. My poor cousin had NO air conditioning in her room all week. They called and someone took a look but it was not fixed. They paid a lot of money to stay there. They were a family of 4 and unfortunately suffered in the heat all week and had to cool off in the tub to get body temperatures to cool down. A number of the staff were so good and friendly and kind. We got caught in Hurricane Beryl during our stay. That same cousin had the roof of her balcony fly off onto her balcony. They came to clear it and as they left one of them in a kind, upbeat voice apologized for the inconvenience. So sweet of him to say and it was Beryl’s fault. Gearing up for hurricane, they took action swiftly, orderly and calmly when preparing guests w box meals for the lockdown for our safety. Surprisingly, the buffet was opened for breakfast the next day after the hurricane and they were quick to clear away some of the debris and damage. The staff worked hard. The vibe team was very enthusiastic, energetic, so much fun and engaging. We were playing games and they saw us and joined in and lead us in a lot of other fun games. Jodi-An and Toni-Ann from the buffet were amazing, friendly, courteous servers! I had a bad cough n a frog in my throat and sweet, caring, kind Jodi-An took it upon herself to get me some ginger and lemon tea bags for my throat. She also advised me not to drink anything cold as it aggravates my cough n throat. Only to drink hot things. We need more kind, caring, thoughtful genuine people in the world like Jodi-An. All the best to you My lady! Toni-Ann has an infectious smile and joyous spirit. She is a pleasure to be with and she gave excellent service as well. She was so good we requested her a a number of times. It was a pleasure meeting you both. There were also a few other staff members who were very helpful and courteous! Keep up the great work guys!

DON'T DO IT!

Have you ever been told by your mother not to do something and did it anyway, then realized that you should have listened to your momma because she was right and later realize that's she's often right. Well let me be your momma and tell you, PLEASE DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY AT ROYALTON. I can begin to tell you about my horrible experience and seperately about my friends horrible experiences, but the point of the matter is that they lied to me and told me that they did not have my reservation for the suite I booked when I had my confirmation, after 4 hours with no resolutions I had to pay for another room, not a suite, a room. When I returned to the states, my bank completed an investigation that revealed that the staff at Royalton confirmed the booking, although they did not have the availability for a suite, took my money and ruined my vacation. When I reached out to corporate, they took 5 WEEKS TO OFFER ME 6000 POINTS, AFTER I REACHED OUT MULTIPLE TIMES, WHICH IS EQUIVALENT TO LESS THAN $50 TO STAY WITH THEM AGAIN. This is the most ridiculous resolution EVER! I eventually got my refund from my bank, but I would not recommend this place. The food was basic. They advertise queen beds and they dont even have queen beds in the property. Noone told us about the itinerary, shows, booking reservations, NOTHING! Does this sound like paradise to you?!?! Listen to your momma, DON'T DO IT!!!

I did a yoga class with Daniel. He is great instructor. He is very personable and he takes pride in his work. He got me through the workout and gave me a lot of great tips to help me with my flexibility. This is a class I would highly recommend to anyone. It was great.

Bitten alive in room. No hot water or water at all for days!

Attended in June for a wedding. Despite our booked room for double beds, my friend and I were booked in a single bed room. Our room had a very distinct sewage water smell, the TV channels were all pixelated and hard to see, and there were so many mosquitos!! After killing 12 mosquitos in the first hour, I called the front desk to come spray the room, to which they did and we were asked not to vacate the room for an hour. There were still active mosquitos that evening and they feasted on us despite us using insect repellent on our skin. The next day we were moved to another room (this one had double beds). Unfortunately, our room’s thermostat was unable to yield cooler temps like everyone else’s room. And, the mosquito problem was not better!! On top of the hotel didn’t have hot water for 2 days. In attempt to fix the water the hotel turned off the water for hours so we were unable to flush the toilet or shower or wash our hands for hours! Not to mention we learned that the housekeepers were cleaning the rooms with air freshener instead of actual disinfectant products. Every complaint and grievance that we brought up to the staff was met with ambivalence or we were told to “be patient.” 2 days prior to leaving—we thought there was an end to the ambivalent responses as guest services told us that we would be be compensated for our troubles. We learned that the complaint was never escalated so the next day we met with guest services again and they assured us that they were handling it. After 2 weeks, we have yet to hear back or receive compensation or an apology.
