California Adventure Part 2 - Disneyland

I am a huge Disney fanatic so when deciding to take my family to Disneyland I for sure thought I would stay at a Disney property - I am so glad that I didn't! Disney hotels are great BUT for the price tag not so much. The Westin Anaheim exceeded my expectations. When I travel, my number one priority is cleanliness. I read all the reviews and even if there is one knock on cleanliness then I cross it off the list. The Westin is beautiful AND clean. Our room was ready as soon as we checked in at 3pm (which is great after driving for a few hours in SoCal traffic). The room was huge, clean and very comfortable. The location of our room was pretty far from the elevator but someone has to stay in the room - just the luck of the draw. The location of the Westin can not be beat! It's about a 15 minute walk to Disneyland (probably quicker if you don't have two little kids). We did have a car however after learning how close everything was we decided to return it to Alamo which is right down the street. The pool area seems a bit small for the size of the hotel but overall it was great. My kids loved the pool and my husband and I loved the pool bar. The servers by the pool were excellent. On our second day we returned to our room mid day to find that our room seemed very warm. I called the front desk and they sent an engineer up right away to see what the problem was. The engineer reset the system and our room cooled down almost immediately. I was very impressed with how attentive the staff were. On our last day we sent our bags to bell services for the day while we enjoyed the parks. I called bell services at 7am and by 715am they arrived to take our bags to storage. Again, I was super happy with how attentive they were. My only concern is that there are only 3 washers and 3 dryers for the entire hotel. For a large hotel that services many families that spend their days in a theme park a washer and dryer is usually a necessity on vacation. Luckily, I was able to grab the last washer that was free but unfortunately several people walked in after me that wanted to do their laundry. If you think this isn't a big deal then you probably don't have kids. Overall, we had a fantastic stay! If we ever head back to Disneyland we will definitely be staying here again!

All Around Great Hotel

Our staycation at the Westin Anaheim was amazing. The staff and service was friendly and accommodating from the minute we checked in !! We enjoyed time at the pool, the spectacular views from the rooftop bar and had a great meal at the Tangerine room. Oh and BTW…it’s only a 15 minute walk to Disney !! We WILL be back!!

Beautiful Hotel, crummy staff

This place is new, lovely and clean. I loved our room. I was pretty excited to be upgraded and had great correspondance with the hotel leading up to our stay. BUT the staff was not great a the front desk, coffee shop or Tangerine. Housekeepign were friendly and the staff at the pool bar and rooftop were good. When we checked in,we were given NO info on the hotel or room. I mean like 'here are your keys, elevator is down there" They were no help when I asked about the ART shuttle, she just told me to "use the app" what app??? I figured it out but come on. When I checked out I wanted to use a Marriott gift card and they would not let me!! That was odd. The Blossom cafe staff literally grunted at me when I went to the counter. We still had an awesome stay. The lobby smells sooooo good and we likely will return.

Worst Hotel

wish I could give 0 stars. We were a family of 9 and had booked 3 rooms for two days here . Two families got infected with covid and I knew it’s non refundable booking . I still tried calling hotels. Com for waiver they said they will be ok for waiver if hotel approves of it. I told them I can send tests results too. The hotel staff denied refund. My one family decided to move ahead with the trip as planned please note they were coming from a diff place than us and hence were completely healthy. I got the name changed on other room so that this family can use both rooms out of 3. The Westin staff was so rude they made the other family wait for 2 long hours and there were calls with hotels. Com for 2 hours to trying to help them check in. I have never seen a staff so rude and so unfriendly the way I saw these Westin people. They acted as if they were doing a favor to us Absolutely ridiculous and I wish I could give them 0 stars

We stayed at the Westin for 3 nights during our visit to Anaheim from the UK to explore Disneyland. The hotel is beautiful and new, the staff are so helpful and could not do enough for us. It was my partners birthday so we were given a free upgrade to a suite which was absolutely gorgeous. We enjoyed our trip so much visiting Westin we have rebooked again for next year!
