Poor experience. Do not recommend the Oasis Water Park,

Curious53925 on Dec 03, 2023

Our family and friends planned an overnight stay at the resort and access the water park. Unfortunately, all four kids got bruises from the walls of the lazy river. We had initially planned to enjoy the water park the next day but ended up not staying overnight for this reason. We will not be planning a visit in the future.

I would've given 3.5 stars if I could, but a few things left a negative taste in my mouth.

It was mostly clean, but there were little things here and there that made me afraid to look in the corners behind the bed. When we arrived, the first thing I noticed was a bobby pin on the floor and kiss marks all over one of the french window panes of the door that goes out to the balcony--it was at knee height, so I am assuming it was made by a toddler--I guess I should be glad it wasn't boogers, but it was still kind of icky. There is a water park, but we were unable to use it because the hours are limited and we were staying there for a hockey tournament. Not the resort's fault, but I am not sure I would stay here next time hoping we might be able to use the water park. The bed was really squishy soft and by the last night, my back started to hurt because there was zero support. I kept rolling towards the middle because the center is sunken in, so I had to prop myself towards my side of the bed by using a pillow. For a resort that looks this nice from the exterior, I would expect better beds. THE ABSOLUTE WORST THING THAT OCCURRED DURING OUR STAY WAS A GOLF TOURNAMENT ON THANKSGIVING DAY WHERE A LADY USED A MICROPHONE OR MEGAPHONE AND YELLED INTO IT BEFORE IT WAS EVEN 8AM TO TALK TO ALL THE PARTICIPANTS. Since we were there for a hockey tournament, we were hoping to sleep in on Thanksgiving and have a restful day. The next day, Friday, we were supposed to be up at 4:45 am for our first game. Who would want someone obnoxiously waking them up from their slumber with a megaphone right outside their window?!?! How absolutely inconsiderate. There has got to be a better way to communicate with your golfers that does not interfere with hotel guests' rest. We had a nice view of the golf course and lobby patio area, but the golf club house was right below us and I found myself irritated with the golfers who loitered outside the clubhouse by the golf carts. On Saturday, I heard men talking out there at 6:30am. WTF. I would say I was very annoyed with the situation and I would have asked to be moved but I did not expect the unwanted wake up call on Thursday, nor did I expect people to stand there at 6:30am and talk loudly outside my room on Saturday. To the resort's credit, it was easy to communicate my frustrations via their text service and they were very apologetic. I needed a microwave and they delivered it to me in a timely manner when I requested it and they waived the nightly fee. Sidebar: I think it's kind of dumb that they usually charge $10/night for a microwave when it is a pretty basic amenity in a suite at even Holiday Inn Express. I am glad that we had a refrigerator. Both the fridge and the microwave came in handy to quickly serve breakfast and lunch before hockey games so I'm glad those were available. The rooms also had plenty of towels and pillows and housekeeping came regularly. It was also convenient that we got to park along the curb (not the red one!) in front of our room without a problem because otherwise, the lot is kind of far, down a hill, and taken up by all the golfers during the day. One of the nights, all the hockey families gathered around the fire pit and it was very cozy, so that was nice. The bartender was pleasant. I would say all the hotel staff are polite and helpful. It would've been a nicer stay though if it had been more restful and maybe a little cleaner.

Hockey tournament weekend

KathyAMD (Fullerton, California) on Nov 26, 2023

Great weekend trip to Arizona hockey. Located reasonably central to the main rinks we played at Some renovations going on but there was limited interference with our stay. Water park hours unfortunately didn’t match our schedule. Property was relatively empty for the holiday weekend which made things nice and quiet but seemed like a bit ridiculous to charge us for a 2 hour later checkout especially given how expensive it was to stay with our group (ended up above advertised price for the weekend had we booked separately). Otherwise great room and stay

Beautiful resort. Will have to return just for fun.

Very nice resort area with few options for food within walking distance. Rooms are beautifully appointed. Staff are very helpful especially with directions to the different rooms within the conference area. Housekeeping staff came every day and did an excellent job.

Clearly just a number.

We booked for their water park, only. It was closed the days we were here. There was no indication on booking sites. Staff told me it was my fault for not intuiting to check their home site. Camelback rooms are aging, peeling elevator, hot tub didn’t work…. They clearly put their money other places. Paid for meh room. Paid day passes to neighboring resort swim parks.
