This might of been good 20 years ago

Trip with my wife and the first since COVID hit. Disappointed with the resort in general. Everything from the pool chairs to the quality of the food. If you’re reading this and haven’t booked anything yet, take my advice and keep searching. It’s a hard no to ever going back here for us.

Paradise with a view

Fabulous. Thank you. The view was fantastic--got the 15th floor for a relative song. very helpful employees. We needed a hotel at the last second and they worked with us to get us a room. I wish we hadn't already booked elsewhere for another three nights. We will be back.

Grata experiencia

From the reservation the hotel and the environment looked quite good and upon arrival it was pleasant to find facilities that were pleasing to the eye and in good condition, the rooms are quite comfortable and have everything necessary, and the food and service are excellent, as far as At the price it seems to me that it is accessible based on everything it offers and not only that, it is also located in a quite pleasant area.

The entertainment team was so much fun. They are the friendliest staff and they made us want to have their job. They made our time at the pool so amazing. Thank you very much! We would come back just to see this team again.

Fine but probably wouldn't return

The resort is okay, but not recommended for those who do not speak Spanish fluently. It is primarily occupied by national tourists and had very few international tourists. That said, if you are someone who wants to immerse yourself in the language and experience more of a local vibe, it might be a good fit for you. My friend and I booked through Westjet vacations and as Canadians, it was difficult to communicate with other guests and staff due to the language barrier. Thankfully, my friend knew enough Spanish to help us get by, but in some cases we had to use translator apps, etc. The language barrier makes sense given that most guests speak Spanish, but it's something to be aware of before you book. We didn't meet any other Canadians until the last day when Westjet vacations picked us all up. My friend and I spent most of our time off the resort exploring PV (there's so many fun things to do), but the time we did spend on the resort was OK. Here's an overview of our experience: Service - We had a bad experience checking in when we first arrived (waited 2 hours in line to speak to a staff member) due to their booking system being down. A lot of other guests were angry and stormed out due to the long wait. - Once we checked in, we were given a room with one bed despite having booked a room with two. However, the staff were able to rectify this within a few hours. - Most staff did not speak English, but did make an effort to help us if needed for the most part. - The cleaning service was great. They cleaned our room every day and left us 2 large water bottles each time. - Our check out experience was bad. Westjet was picking us up for the airport around 2:40 pm, but the front staff cut our wrist bands off at 12 pm (most people lose them at 11 am), which meant we no longer had access to any of the amenities unless we paid for them. We ending up hanging out at the Starbucks while we waited, but in my experience, most resorts will let you use the amenities right up until you depart. Room - Our room was in the new tower and was clean and modern. - The walls are very thin so you can hear everything going on in the surrounding areas, including dinner music until about 10:30 pm. Pools - Three pools. They were generally nice and clean, but got progressively busier throughout the day and many people would leave towels on chairs to reserve them for the day. - Lack of umbrellas available for shade when lounging by the pool. Bars - Lobbby bar was great. - Only one (sometimes two) pool bars were open and the line was always very long. Food - The food was okay. Breakfast was the same every day, but had a decent selection, including fresh eggs or omelets. - We mostly left the resort for dinner, but when we did eat dinner at the resort, it was fine. Not the best resort food, not the worst. - We had one a la carte dinner at the Italian restaurant on the resort and it was also fine, but nothing special. - WiFi - The WiFi was actually pretty good throughout the resort or at least in the areas we frequented. Location - The location was the best part of this resort. It is central to pretty much everything, which made it easy to get around via public bus, taxi or uber. However, there are a lot of other resorts in this area as well. - The beach is nice and had a lot of open seats to hang out and enjoy the ocean or sunset, etc. As per usual in Mexico, there was a constant stream of beach vendors, but they would generally accept "no gracias." There are so many cool things to see and do in PV, so we spent most of our time exploring off the resort. If you are looking for a place to hang out and relax for a few days in typical resort fashion, this might not be the best place. We made the best of our circumstances and it turned out to be a great trip.
