Overall, a great family trip!

We went with a large group for the 3rd year in a row as owners, and had a wonderful time! There were a few things, however, that I didn't care for.. Like the hike in the daily cost of the all-inclusive, and the difficulty in making dinner reservations. Enrique in concierge was very attentive to making sure we were comfortable in our rooms (the pillows were rock hard at first, they replaced all of them for me) The Animation team is always amazing! David is my absolute favorite Animation member, and it amazes me that even tho I only see him 10 days a year, he always remembers me immediately, and welcomes me with a hug and a smile! Marival is very lucky to have a man like David working for them. Our favorite waiters by far, are Guillermo and Jose, usually upstairs at Amalfi (if Amalfi is closed, we usually see them downstairs at La Pergola, or working one of the large festivals when they close the restaurants for the night). Both of them are always absolutely amazing, and treat us like celebrities. Dalia at M&M bar upstairs always brings us the best drinks and is always so friendly! Elisabeth at La Bamba is great when we go for breakfast! Always remembers us, and is quick to bring me my usual cappuccino with Bailey's, and a mimosa with extra strawberries. And my youngest son almost always gets banana pancakes, but asks for a different amount of pancakes everytime. She always right away asks him how many pancakes he wants that day. Mai Tai can be hit-or-miss.. service can be quite slow, food sometimes gets missed or comes cold (like Mozzarella sticks come when the cheese hasn't been melted). The waiter that stands out as being awesome tho, is Marcos! He always made sure everything was great! Housekeeping this year was pretty disappointing. Hearing of other visitors near our room being mistreated after a small child got sick in their bed.. housekeeping refused to service their room the entire week, telling them that they're disgusting for it happening. Our fridge was supposed to be restocked daily, and was only restocked once or twice in the 10 days after placing complaints with Enrique, and leaving notes in the room in spanish requesting a restock. They also missed replacing washcloths one of the days, so we didn't have any. Even tho we had a few issues, the trip itself was very much worth it, and we had a great time. I always seek out David and Guillermo right away when we arrive to get hugs. And they always seem just as excited to see me as I am to see them. They are truly amazing people, and I just love them! AND! As if that wasn't enough, we actually were able to see killer whales during breakfast one morning!

Marival emotions is a special place for me, it is where my now fiancé asked me to be his girlfriend. We will be bringing our kids one day soon, we love how much they incorporate the kids. Kary was amazing to upgrade us to a suite on the top floor. Everything was amazing and beautiful as always.

This resort saved our vacation! Our original destination was a complete disaster and we found this resort on the spot fleeing the hotel I reviewed earlier. Very very clean, very beautiful, professional, very kids friendly, both kids and general hotel animation are great, dedicated to what they do. All the workers are super friendly and helpful. Food is amazing, drinks are amazing, evening shows are amazing. The resort territory is very cozy and you don’t have to walk a lot, everything is conveniently close by. Room service is very quick, rooms are super clean, truly a place where you can relax and enjoy everything around you. Every day there is something interesting happening, either themed animation throughout the whole day or beautifully set up open air dinners. Just love the whole vibe of this beautiful resort where guests are appreciated and taken exceptional care of ???? will definitely be back

Amazing Vacation!!!

We just returned from Marival Emotions and we had the best time!!! I am not sure where all the bad reviews come from?? We were there for 7 nights on an all inclusive package. It was my husband, myself and our 2 boys aged 2.5 and 5. We arrived at the resort at noon and our room was not ready but we were able to take FULL advantage of all the amenities. Upon arrival we realized we left one of our bags in the shuttle and the gentleman at the front handling the luggage was beyond helpful in helping us get it back! Check in was easy, no lines and we got our room at 3pm as promised. We were never hassled for a time share presentation. We had met another couple that was approached for the presentation and they said it was actually really great. They had breakfast, drinks and the staff watched their 2 little kids (they could see them on the other side of the glass wall) as they were given the presentation. They also rec’d free passes to swim with the dolphins. After hearing this I wish we were approached! The majority of the staff were super friendly and helpful. The food was great. Yes some items on the buffet were not piping hot but we never had cold food. So many items to choose from and they switched it out everyday. Breakfast had fresh cold pressed juices, omelet station, pancake, waffle and crepe station (The would even make fresh french toast if you asked). The fruit was so fresh and so many options each morning! Lunch, we mostly ate at La Bamba near the kiddie pool. They had an option of burgers, hot dogs, fries, salad bar, pizza, ribs, rice, chicken, etc. Great selection and the open air patio was so nice to sit at and catch a break from the sun. For dinner the options were the Buffett at Casa Bella they always had an amazing selection, and the kids buffet was so appreciated even for my picky eaters! The kids had a selection of fresh fruit and veggies (made into elaborate displays, so cool!), mini burgers, mini hotdogs, mini chicken fingers, chocolate fountain, etc. The other option for dinner was La Pizzetta which had pizza, fries, salad bar etc. On Wednesday night the resort hosts a Mexican themed night. I couldn’t believe the work that went into putting this on. Decorations, table set up and décor etc. When we walked in we were greeted with a themed drink for the adults and kids. Seated with another family with kids enjoyed a mariachi band and a huge assortment of different food stations all around the pool area. So much thought and prep put into this! The Friday night they host another themed event but this time a beach theme right near the beach. They had an area set up for the kids to dance, play, have a beach bonfire etc . They also have the kids buffet set up in this area as well. Just a side note: When these 2 events are going on the Casa Bella restaurant is closed. I am not sure if all the restaurants are closed?? We also only took advantage of one of the Al Le Carte restaurants during our stay. We had no problem getting a 630pm reservation at the La Pergolia. Food was delicious. Just a heads up that the majority of steaks on the menu do cost extra. But there are plenty of other selections. We heard the Italian restaurant was amazing and hope to take advantage of this next time! We enjoyed the kiddie waterpark pool area so much! We also spent some time at the main pool as well. We never found anything overly busy. We never had an issue finding a lounge chair, getting a drink etc. The pools were all super clean. The entire resort was so clean. There was always someone sweeping, mopping etc. The rooms were perfect and all you would need for a longer stay. We had 4 people in a basic room (2 double beds) and we had no space issues. The balcony was so big! Drying rack provided for each room, hair dryer, small conditioner and shampoo provided. Beds were comfy a bit firm. We had a partial ocean view and were over top of Casa Bella and we could not hear anything. Our room was very clean when we arrived and we only took advantage of having it cleaned twice on our stay. Whenever we asked for extra towels etc the housekeeping staff was so amazing and friendly. They always asked if we needed our room made up just in case we missed it. The shower was slow to drain but I think this is in part due to the high pressure of the shower. All in all accommodations were great! My only suggestions would be for a bit more signage around the resort. It was a bit confusing as to what restaurants you could and could not eat at. For example the restaurant we ate lunch at everyday only hosted members from 8am-12pm for breakfast. And the only way to find this out was to ask the hostess. It would be nice to have a sign outside each restaurant with the hours Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner were served and if it was a members only restaurant. Another suggestions would be some arrival info in each room. Maybe a booklet with the activities each week, restaurants and hours, excursions, themed nights etc. We were given some info at check in but it’s a bit overwhelming and hard to remember everything. All in all we would highly recommended this resort to families with children! We hope to be back!!!

Awesome visit to Puerto Vallarta area

Our stay at Marival Emotions was exceptional. Our concierge, Karina Galavic, made our stay very enjoyable. She assisted with our reservations and our check in/out, and made sure our room was in the adult side with an ocean/pool view. She always made sure our needs were being met and was always a pleasure to speak with. Because of her we would return.
