A nice getaway from working a busy ski season

This is our third trip to this beautiful resort. We continue to come for the great customer service from a well-seasoned staff experience. Cesar is five diamonds with his morning and lunchtime greetings at the Carnival Buffet along with Oscar and Alexani. Always smiling, engaging with the guests and making us feel special at the resort. Alejandro recognized my husband as soon as he walked into the breakfast area with a big welcome back hug. Franciso from Capers welcomed us home with his beautiful smile and generous hugs. He is the best public relations for this resort. Always with a smile, he delivers great customer service and showmanship with his presentation of the food. In Secrets French restaurant, Eloyon (hope I spelled his name correctly) was the perfect host for our special dinner. The rooms were clean and comfortable throughout our stay. We did miss the changes from previous years such as having the option of the BBQ by the pool area everyday along with classes offering how to make guacamole along with specialty drinks and other food items. The pool service was efficient with Diego, Manuel serving us throughout our stay. The pool songs were repetitious each day with the except of the last 3 of our 10 day stay. The last few years the pool personnel engaged most of us at the pool for exercise, dancing and games which this year I found less was offered. We realize that cost need to be cut but not offering Corona, and Modella beers to the guests is not Mexico! We come for the food classes, pool atmosphere, bbq lunches as an alternative to inside dining and most of all the staff. The food that is offered at this resort is very good compared to other all inclusive resorts. The chefs deserve an applause. No complaints at all. Lastly Mario who we have known since our arrival three years ago was the perfect bell captain. We remember when he was assisting at the front desk. Hyatt, you need to bring back the favorites for your guests to make their Mexican vacation complete!

Restaurants basically the same. Attire was not stated clearly so unable to get into several of the inclusive restaurants. Air conditioning repeated shut off. Room service ordering did not work as indicated.
Not A Family Resort

This was our first time staying at a Dreams Resort, and honestly it was not what we expected. It turned out to be a very disappointing trip for my wife, my two children, and myself. We chose this resort because it was advertised as family friendly, but unfortunately that was not our experience. We were unable to access the Italian restaurant because we had minors with us, which already limited our dining options. There were also not many food options for kids. Another situation that upset us was when security asked my children to leave thejacuzzi area. I do not understand why, especially since it is on the family side of the resort. The next day we saw other children inside the jacuzzi and nobody said anything, so the rules did not seem consistent. What concerned us the most was the music being played around the family areas. Many songs contained profanity and inappropriate lyrics that children should not be exposed to. My kids are 6 and 8 years old, and they should not have to hear those kinds of songs at a family resort. I spoke with a staff member about this issue, and he told me he would speak with the person in charge of the music, but unfortunately the same thing happened again the next day. We ended up moving to the beach just so our children would not continue hearing that type of music. I do want to recognize the waiters, who were wonderful every single day — always smiling, professional, and attentive. A special thank you to the waiter who took care of us by the kids pool, even though I unfortunately forgot his name. Sadly, after this experience, we will not be returning to this resort.
Horrible service - trashy hotel for what you pay!

Aweful DREAMS pool service and a double margarita tasted like watered down lime sugar juice. Paid extra to spend days at SECRETS pool/beach and after 5 hours of beach time waiter never came by - yet was assisting others. Maybe short staffed? Unsure - but I will not be returning- disappointing because we were returning in December 2026 but I will be cancelling the stay at SECRETS/DREAMS.

I had visited Dreams Resort 10 years ago and the experience was absolutely memorable and beautiful. I was really looking forward to visiting again, unfortunately the experience was TERRIBLE (not including the staff, The staff were amazing). 1.. The resort is falling apart, the are in desperate need to renovate and maintain. 2. Entertainment! What entertainment. there is absolutely no entertainment. it was the absolutely boring. literally dead. we were bored out of our minds and so was every other guest in the resort. While the food was amazing. most of the restaurants were closed at times. I will never ever visit any of Hyatt's Resorts ever again. Oh yeah. Bar options were extermetly pooor
