My experience wasn't the gratest.I was expecting better food service and room cleanest. Thank you to Yuleiny and Dominga de la Cruz and bar staff for your service.The dinning room people needs to be more friendly. Dominga was the best server at the dinning room.Food at the buffet was cold rice not cook completely and other things that I don't have enough space to write about it.The best food experience was the Tokio Restaurant.I been in other resorts and never experience anything like this. The pools are awesome. Also the front desk people was good . Except to one crew member she was not pleasant. They need to train the staff.The same thing with the buffet staff . I could count with my fingers how many provided a good service. The only one I could take out was Dominga always smiling and with a good customer service. The rest should learn from her. I hope you could read this so you could make things resort better.Also your casino needs improvement or closed it. If you go to the store near by to buy souvenirs Make sure you ask for price because they want to over charge you. Even if they said to you don't worry please ask. Also be ready to get other vendors to harass you.This resort has good price, but service is not good. If you ask me if I wouldn't stay here again ,I will look for somewhere else.

Very amazing experience ! All the entertainment was amazing very great workers and social and if you are shy don’t worry they will make you feel very comfortable. They all made my week very memorable?? the food was good the beach and sand was amazing!

Poor quality service

The beach was the only thing worth . Staff barely smiling or talk to you. Room A/C poor , safe was broken, old fashion decoration. Doctor on place 100% satisfied.

you get what you pay for. I would give them 3 stars. some workers are nice, and some are rude. food is ok for breakfast and lunch. the night restaurants are 5 stars. the night shows are great for adults and kids . pools are big with music playing on one side then the family pool is quit and relaxing on the other side. drinks from bars are small cups so bring a tumbler and tip the bartender

A little disappointing to say the least.

If you plan on booking here for anything more then the gorgeous beach view DONT. It's old, broken down and they don't move fast when things need to be fixed. We are on day 4 of standing in large lineups to get help with room issues and have been told everyday to wait for maintenance to fix our AC and bring us batteries for the TV remote and well we are still waiting.. (+30 in our room with a fan going) (remote wouldn't be a big deal but there's been lots of storms / raining so to have something during downtime would be a bonus. Our card key mechanism was dying and maintenance thought banging it every time it stopped working would be the solution... that would be great until we break it. Positive note: it's been fixed. The food is not great but not horrible . The majority of the a la carte restaurants are nothing to get excited about... the Japanese restaurant being an exception iit's delicious: The buffet has a pretty good variety. The snack bar items are not kept at proper temperature to be deemed safe in my opinion. The cleaning staff are friendly, the supervisor even tried from day one to get our concerns looked at and wasn't able to get anyone to help us. Each day she asks if they have fixed and each day we tell her No. ***don't get conned*** They will try to offer you a free spa treatment for being a first time visitor then put you in shuttle to another Barcelo hotel and try to sell their club package AKA time share. They say only 1.5 hours.. we were there 4 hours and they disappeared when time to provide the spa treatment. We brought it up with one of his coworkers and of course he's on days off The pool has lots of room, haven't really had to look for a spot. Water temp is great. They don't really advertise entertainment, so you have to go searching it out which is a bit disappointing. The beach is absolutely stunning, no boat docks to ruin it. Crystal blue and breathtaking. Overall we are making the best of situation but it would be nice to be treated with a little more respect. My family are travel agents and they wouldn't be quick to upsell this hotel.
