Room was very dirty, staff was very unfriendly and unprofessional, there's a guy named bernabel that trick people into going to the other hotel just to have breakfast but doesn't tell you that they're gonna try to sell you a 10,000$ package. Bad experience over all.

We just returned from our trip and please do yourself a favour a stay away from this resort. We tried to go in with an open mind but unfortunately the negative reviews are telling the truth. We stayed in an Oceanview Premium Suite. The resort is very dated ands a complete Reno. The a/c was weak and there are no ceiling fans in the suites. Many spots in the resort also did not have fans making it quite hot. Our closet doors barely opened unless you pulled as hard as you could. Our safe stopped working half way through the week. The patio doors barely opened. There was a strange odour coming from the bedroom a/c vent every time you ran the water or poured something down the drain. Some days we would get a hand towel and bath mat and other days we would only get bath towels. Face clothes are non existent. The food was mediocre at best except for the Japanese restaurant. Most of the staff does not speak any English so communication was hard. We looked at switching rooms and was surprised when they took us through another room that still had someone staying in it. The bath tubs were rusty and I wouldn’t even let my dog bathe in it. You were lucky to get hot water by the end of your shower. The service was not wonderful and by 11pm there was only 1 bar open with only 2 bar tenders so getting a drink took a long time. The main pool with the bar was dirty even first thing in the morning. The second pool was much better. The only thing this resort has going for it, is its location on the beach. Beautiful sand, and barely any seaweed. If I owned this resort I would be embarrassed, so many better choices out there, I will never stay at an Occidental again.

DO NOT STAY HERE. This was the worst resort experience we’ve ever had. Our group had many, many issues including sewage coming from the ceiling, no working air conditioning, flooding (so bad it got baby’s crib wet), door lock not working (locked out for hours)… I could go on and on. The staff were not helpful and you had to wait 30+ minutes at the front desk every time you went there. This resort may have been nice in its prime but it is old, falling apart and simply dirty. Pool was not cleaned and food with swarming ants would be left on the pool deck for days. Don’t let me talk about what we found in the pool. Absolutely disgusting. Food was horrible and my poor kids wouldn’t eat in the buffet or “restaurants”. The only positive was the pizza place, but took an hour for a pizza. Please, do not stay here.

Entretenimiento Pamela chuchu is great. Very polite and fun. Happy and a greationt time!!! It's a great time with family and the beach is phenomenal. Foam party is very cool. Buffet is good, lots of choices, I love the fresh fruit. The staff is friendly and it really is a great place to vacation. Lots of games and very affordable.

Sexy Bambu was entertaining and sweet very funny and entertaining!! Extremely entertaining and great as an employee for occidental!! Great choice to there entertainment crew interacts with all guests keeps them laughing!! Well done!!
