We stayed here for six nights in April 2026. This was our second visit to Royalton Chic Punta Cana, and we traveled in February 2024. We booked the stay through Marriott as Platinum Bonvoy members, which made some of the differences from our previous visit especially noticeable. On our last trip, we received a Bonvoy Elite bracelet that granted access to several “Diamond-only” areas, which really elevated the experience. Unfortunately, Royalton no longer offers this perk, and there was no recognition at all for Platinum Bonvoy status this time around. Check-in was a rough start—it took about two hours to get settled. Once we finally got to a room, we had to switch three times before landing in one with functioning air conditioning. During our stay, we also noticed some concerning maintenance issues, including missing smoke detectors and exposed or missing electrical outlets. While it’s clear the property is undergoing upgrades and improvements in certain areas, the guest rooms themselves feel like they’re in noticeable decline. Housekeeping was also inconsistent—our room wasn’t cleaned on two occasions during our stay, which was disappointing. That said, there are definitely positives. The common areas are beautiful, and the pools and beach are fantastic—well-maintained, relaxing, and exactly what you hope for in Punta Cana. The staff truly stands out: everyone we encountered was friendly, hardworking, and eager to help, which made a big difference in our overall experience. The resort’s activity team, including the “Vibe Team” and the Chic Angels, are also excellent. They do a great job keeping the energy up throughout the day and evening. I especially appreciate that this is an adults-only resort—it strikes a nice balance of being upbeat and lively without feeling like an over-the-top party scene. The food was just okay—nothing particularly memorable, but acceptable for an all-inclusive resort. Despite the issues, we would return. For six nights for two people, we paid $1,641 USD through Marriott, which is an excellent value. If you go in with the right expectations and prioritize location, amenities, and price over room quality and elite perks, it can still be a worthwhile stay.

Our experience was terrible we had our key lock deactivated and had to wait after a long night, the restaurant staff seemed all unhappy and even manager in restaraunt behind was arguing with the staff in regards to something and yelling. Clearly employees are mistreated. Also we were sent from Diamond Club to other side of beach when it was exactly the same and also harrassed about massage twice. Pool bar we sat down were not acknowledged and not served left to other bars it was ridiculous. Room was also outdated could not get upgraded as a gold member even though property was half empty?

Ranfi Santana did not just exceed expectations, he redefined them. If every bartender brought the same level of care, skill, and authenticity, every night out would feel this extraordinary. Thank you ??

What a wonderful getaway in a gorgeous location! Everyone took such good care of us. With special thanks to Roberto, our butler, who made sure everything was perfect throughout our entire stay?? We loved the pool, beach and entertainment....staff were so kind and went above and beyond...Carmen by the pool, Juan Carlo for yoga, Brendalisy, Cassandra and Ruth in the D club and Emilo at meal times. Wish we could be back there! L&D

We had a great family vacation. Arge was out Diamond Club Butler and he was amazing. He was in touch with us many times throughout each day to make sure we had everything we needed. Beach was beautiful and clean. Germaine provided great beach drink and food service and Norkelly at the Insomnia Shop provided a welcoming and warm greeting each morning. Plenty of activities to keep everyone busy and nightly entertainment was always fun. My only negative comment is they need more umbrellas around the pool area.
