The room was our only complaint

The service here is amazing and the resort is beautiful! Every body is so nice and helpful. From the butler (if you have Diamond Club), the concierge, the servers, etc. The buffet is ok but the restaurants are great! The Italian was our favorite. Diamonds Club is definitely worth it. The pool gets a little crowded so we were always at the Diamond Club beach area where they serve you food and drinks. The Diamond Club lounge serves premium alcohol you can’t get at other bars at the resort. From the moment we got there, we told our butler the excursions we wanted to do and he immediately sent somebody to our room to book. We arrived on my birthday and it would have been hard to get a reservation at the steakhouse last minute but our butler made it happened and escorted us to the restaurant to make sure we were seated. Anything we needed or had questions about, our butler was just a What’s App text away. So that was convenient. We didn’t see him as often as I expected based on other reviews but we didn’t need to since we had the ability to text him. Plus, the butlers are VERY busy so we didn’t mind. Our Butler was Joan (pronounced Yo-Han) and he was very nice and helpful ?? The Concierge for our building was Saraul (or SO REAL as everybody called him) and he was nothing short of amazing. He is the nicest, sweetest guy you’ll meet! If being a Butler would be a promotion for him, he’d be great at that! Concierge is there to help when your butlers aren’t around. He booked our spa appointments for us and also answered any questions we had. The service reallllly made the experience enjoyable. We truly appreciated everybody we came in contact with. Now the reason we didn’t give this 5 stars….Our room had a moldy smell to it. You could smell it as soon as you walked in. I mentioned it to our butler as soon as we walked but he said he didn’t smell it. Him and the concierge said they would have somebody do a deep cleaning and they checked with us everyday if it was better but of course this is not a problem you could fix with a deep clean. We spoke to our neighbors and they also had the same issue. I read this in the reviews so I was kind of expecting this. It made it so that we never wanted to be in the room. Only to sleep and get ready. We did keep the AC off and used the ceiling fan. That helped. When the AC was on, the smell was worse. By the 3rd day, we were waking up congested but felt better as soon as we left the room and got fresh air. The room itself is beautiful. We had a swim up so that was lovely but the smell made us never wanted to be there. I think this may just be the first building with all the swim ups. We toured another room (when they try to sell you the travel club) and that room was also Diamond Club (no swim up and completely different building). It didn’t smell at all. So maybe look into those. Lastly, also watch out for gnats and mosquitos. I bought bug spray and that helped a little bit. It’s a tropical island so it’s to be expected! We also wish there were more nightly entertainment options. We did the same thing every night as there was only one bar that was open late. Overall, I still had an amazing, relaxing vacation. Great people! Good food, even better service! Just be careful booking your room.

Dear Royalton Management, I wanted to bring to your attention a significant issue that requires immediate action. Many of your guests are coming down as early as 5 a.m. to place beach towels on all the chairs to reserve them. This practice creates a major inconvenience for other guests, including myself, who are on vacation to relax and not to wake up at such early hours just to secure a spot. By the time other guests come down around 8 a.m., there are often no available chairs, as they are already “claimed” by unattended towels. This situation is not only frustrating but also unfair to those of us who would like to enjoy the amenities without the stress of competing for space at unreasonable hours. I urge your management to address this issue promptly, perhaps by implementing a policy that prevents reserving chairs with towels or ensuring staff monitors the use of chairs. Rooms broken and damaged

Horrible. Upon arrival found broken room: brown sludge in bathtub, leaking fridge, broken phone. Transferred to replacement room: sink wouldn’t drain and coming off of counter. Maintenance repaired sink which promptly flooded the room. No replacement room and smell of nasty water for the night.
Great relaxing honeymoon destination!

We had the best time on our honeymoon! The staff was incredible, the food was delicious, and my favorite part was the Royalton Fit team. Especially aqua classes with Mr. Chely & Lisette! I would totally recommend staying here! Room service was also incredible!

everything was fantastique me and my friend had a really good time. spécial mention for Mr chely from de gym course. Food service and room are amazing!!!! the beach is beautiful the enterteiment excellent!! fun fun fun.... Nice full equip gym thanks royalton chic
