Chic hotel & Yoga with Juan Carlos

nDC4 (England, United Kingdom) on May 18, 2024

(A TUI holiday) Food is good and abundant. Doughnuts at the cafe are a must. Getting into some restaurants can be tricky if you’re not a Diamond member. Drinks are good quality alcohol, unlike All Inclusives in the EU. Enthusiastic staff organise lots of activities all day and into the wee hours, if you want. If you don’t want, plz specify as you can then get a room away from the late night partying. Do you need a pvt pool? No, coz it’s next to the other pools. House keeping is excellent as the rooms are large and super clean. However, the A/C is set at X and nobody seems to know how to fix it. ??????? Not knowing Spanish was a disadvantage. WiFi is excellent even in the adjacent beach area. Beach towels are provided. Should you holiday at the Royalton Chic? Absolutely. Yoga with Juan Carlos @ 8am. A variety of routines. Equipment provided. Yoga under an open-air canopy. JC is attentive to varying abilities. You leave happy and relaxed. He’ll give you a boost of positive energy for the rest of your day. Definitely worth getting up @ 8am for. ??

We stayed here recently and the Hotel was great with very good with good entertainment (especially pedro) good & drinks! Everyone at the hotel is so friendly and attentive, they could not do enough for you and always want to ensure you are having a good time! The hotel evening entertainment was so good and differed each night! Also the restaurants on site were top tier! Would definitely recommend!

OK.

This hotel is nice but needs attention and, in my opinion, is the poor relation of the Royalton collection. having stayed in a number of sister hotels, I can, hand on heart, say this. The food is good with plenty of variety but the restaurants are difficult to get into especially at weekends after 2000hrs and this is because the 'Diamond Club' customers book tables which other guests cannot, causing a wait that can be up to 45 minutes. Once you get into the restaurant, the noise level in the Steakhouse and Italian can be too much, I measured 110db on one evening with an average of 88db. The service can be irratic and slow. However, on the whole, the food is good and plentyful. The buffet restaurant is open to the elements, allowing birds to fly around during meal times and beware the floor can be a hazard as it gets very slippy. We had a problem with towels in our room when it took 7 hours, several phone calls, and visits to the reception to get some. But the towels are of extremely poor quality, grey not white, stained and on one occasion ripped. The towels at the pools are better quality most days. On complaining, we did get some better quality towels, but they are still stained. Photos we taken to support the complaint. 2 days later the room had not been cleaned at 1700hrs and mini bar not refreshed, luckily there was a maid on the floor but still this should not be happening. Again, the next day, we received stained towels. The evening entertainment is all music blasted out loud and repetitive night after night. Having been to lots of Caribbean resorts, there are few shows, mostly 18-30 dance nights. Unfortunately, the cleaners seem precious about shower gel and body mosisturiser. We had to ask for replacments. having said all this, the hotel is in a nice location with a long beach to walk along that appears safe with few beach sellers. There is seaweed washed up daily. It has been a relaxing holiday, but I personally would not recommend it. Most of the staff are friendly and go out of their way to help.this hotel is nice but needs attention and, in my opinion, is the runt of the royalton collection. having stayed in a number of sister hotels, I can, hand on heart, say this. firstly, the good points.
