An incredible family holiday

Myself, Husband and 5 year old visited for 10 days in July (via TUI) We had a wonderful holiday from start to finish, we did however request a room change but this was mainly because we were put right at the back of the resort and it was simply too far from everything with a young child - to nip back if we forgot something was an all round 30 minute walk from the main reception. This was no problem for the staff who then moved us directly across from all amenities a day or so later once available. The hotel is clean,safe and all staff work tirelessly to ensure you are looked after and have the best experience possible. If you have any concerns at any point they will be rectified as fast and as smoothly as possible. We ended up becoming quite friendly with a few staff, huge appreciation to Gretal in the entertainment team, Wendy who works the evening shift in the lobby (superstar!) and of course the fantastic kids club team - Josseline, Cuauhtemoc, Eduardo, Ingrid, Abigail and Rebeca! We would definitely go back again without hesitation. We did visit Coba and Tulum but Akumal seemed the best by far. The Hacienda for the Fiesta is worth a venture too - very authentic and vibrant as you would expect in Mexico! But take your mozzie spray!! For our first long haul holiday with a child we were not disappointed. I have visited Mexico a few times before but this hotel and resort has something to offer everybody and is excellent for children of all ages.
Great Resort

I had a great time at the resort, and the staff were super friendly, food was super. But let me tell you, stay away from the Bahia Principe Privilege Club (BPPC) sales reps. They'll try to pressure you into joining their club with all sorts of promises, but trust me, it's not worth it. I made the mistake of signing up and paid $7500 and now I'm stuck with it. I can't cancel my membership or get my money back, even though I hardly used it. They even threatened me with legal action if I don't keep paying the annual fees which I don't want use it. No one wants it even I give it for free. In addition to the financial burden and lack of flexibility, the BPPC also leak (maybe sold) my personal information to third-party marketers. This resulted in a constant barrage of unsolicited calls and emails, which was highly intrusive and frustrating. So, do your research before signing up for anything. I wish I had! Overall, the resort was awesome, but I'd definitely avoid the BPPC. Hope this helps!
