Good option for families. Both much to rave about though.

Utkap (Atlanta, Georgia) on Jul 21, 2024

Huge resort with big spacious rooms. Staff is polite and at your service. Beach location is average but resort offers multiple pools to make up including a heated pool. Resort has plenty of options for kids. Adults have a separate section. Food is average as one expects in an almost inclusive. Night life is also average for adults looking for options after hours. The concierge service is awesome.

Family vacation

Overall, i only like the beachfront of the resort. Very nice beach and clean. The resort take good care and clean up the beach thru out the day. Beside that, everything is average and below average a little bit.

Great hotel for families with a great beach and attentive staff

843sergiob (Pembroke Pines, Florida) on Jul 20, 2024

Great hotel for families. Nikté(Family Concierge) Rooms are updated and very spacious. Tiara was our family concierge and from the moment we arrived she set everything up for us and made our stay so much easier and kept us updated with all the daily activities. They really cater to the kids and Tiara excel making our son feel special by giving him some merch and beach toys! Jessica at guest services went above and beyond to help us obtaining some medicines for my wife. We spent most of the time at the beach and hands down the MOST attentive service and always making sure we were OK or needed anything was Elizabeth at the beach bar. Which the family concierge has an area reserved right by it with umbrellas and with beach chairs. Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Tulum (Eastern Coast of the Yucatán Peninsula )has a problem with Sargasso (African Sea Weed). However the hotel does a pretty impressive job keeping the water and beach clean of it so by the time you get to the beach there is little or none left. The hotel food is pretty good, it’s a pity though that options for dinnerthe Family side are limited (organic, buffet, Mexican, Japanese and Itialian) vs the adult side which has about 4/5 other restaurants but if staying in the adult side you get access to to all. Lunch at the Taco place (Blue Agave) is really good as well. We saw lots of reviews about the Lunch Box which is a restaurant only available for the Family Concierge for Breakfast and Lunch. I would like to say it’s OK nothing worth writing home about (breakfast and lunch is a la carte thus options are limited) but would like to add that Victor at the lunch box did his best to make sure our Son got a kick out of it by getting him something from the Pool restaurant so me and my wife could enjoy lunch at the LunchBox. The ice cream shop is REALLY REALLY good we opted for having that after dinner than the restaurants dessert. We would definitely return to this hotel. Notes for future guests: Between the hotel and the beach you have to go thru mangroves and some shows are by the mangroves and there is a restaurant “Flora “ is outside, the point that I want to make take bug spray as in the hours of sunset and night you will be eaten alive by mosquitoes when you are walking around. (Keep in mind we went right after a storm so probably lots of standing water by the mangroves) Capella is the Italian restaurant, service is felt a bit rush as they keep trying to take your plates away so you can continue to the next course. I get it there are guest that might be waiting for a table but it wasn’t fully booked so maybe adapt to the actual capacity. If you get the Family concierge the day that you arrive you might not be able to get into any restaurants only until after 9PM or at 6PM. This is a suggestion for the hotel MAYBE leave a couple of spots for the families checking in that day.

Can’t wait to go back !

This resort is awesome for families with kids! I noticed a lot of families were coming back there multiple times and I see why. Super caring and attentive stuff. Great amenities and you don’t get tired or bored of this place. Highly recommended getting Concierge Service upgrade. Nestor Herrera was our concierge and he went above and beyond by making things happen for us. Food was great and a massage done by Santiago was a dream! Highly recommend this place!

Awesome

Misha S (Surrey) on Jul 19, 2024

Beautiful hotel and fantastic beaches and pools and bars. We had a master suite and an adjoining junior suite for our two teenagers they were immaculately cleaned and very spacious. The beds were very comfortable. Our concierge Nestor Herrera was fantastic and was there for anything we needed booking restaurants, trips, our checkout etc. Nothing was too much trouble, he would message us every morning to ensure we did not miss out on anything going on in the hotel. For my birthday he organised champagne, cake and a card in our suite. The restaurants were pretty good (not the best vegetarian food but perfectly fine) and do allow time to check out that was the only let down as it took an hour. All in all a really wonderful family break if you want a hotel with a chilled out vibe with great service! The people are very warm and kind and made us feel super welcome. Gracias ???? Mexico!!!!
