We had the most perfect week. Really everything was amazing - from our beautiful room, the choice of restaurants, quality of food, service from every single staff member, stunning grounds etc. The whole experience is very personal and we particularly loved having a local host. Ours was Luis and although I didn’t need him to help with bookings (as I’d done everything prior to arrival), it was nice to have him checking in with us everyday and sending us the daily schedule. He was very friendly and answered any questions I had promptly. We loved the Mexican cooking class and daily arts and craft sessions. Loved the hat painting too! Also loved all the wildlife roaming the resort - the food and drink stealing Coatis were particularly entertaining. All restaurants were amazing but we particularly liked Mura House, Avec and Mi Carisa for breakfast. I booked 3 day trips through the vacation makers before arrival and all were wonderful. The beach is not great this time of year but this is not the fault of the resort - there are still some pretty areas for photos and we did find a clear patch of sea to go into to the left of the bridges. Evening entertainment is very lacking but we did see one show during the week and mainly sat and played cards after dinner instead so it wasn’t something that impacted our trip massively. Pools were stunning with lots of sunbeds available so no need to reserve early - the pool boys (Gustavo) were very helpful and the drinks service was very attentive, Freddy was very always checking on us. More drinks menus would be appreciated though - I know the bar can pretty much make anything but we don’t always know the names of cocktails and it’s nice to see some options. Overall we loved that we did not have to worry about anything during the week. There was always someone there to help with whatever we needed and everything was made so easy. You really can just show up and get straight into vacation mode knowing that all the staff will help make it the best trip ever. We travel frequently and have high standards and Unico exceeded all my expectations. It really is wonderful!

My husband and I went to Unico 20 87 for my nephews wedding. The atmosphere, service, location, food and amenities were absolutely amazing! It was several steps up from your typical Mexican resort. I felt safe and pamered the entire time. If you are thinking of having a wedding here please do. The backdrop was beautiful at the gazebo and the green terrace was amazing! The food at the wedding and throughout the resort was amazing.

First time at this location, but it will be in our locations to visit again!! Everything is top shelf and all the staff is amazing to make your stay enjoyable Special shout out to Roger, Flores,Marlene, Laura… amazing people!!

Excellent stay at this resort with my family. Mendoza, our local host was friendly, responsive, and attentive. This made our stay special. The food at fine dining restaurants was either a hit or miss as we expected better quality food for a 5 star resort. Drinks at Cafe Inez was below average unfortunately. Entertainment could be much better each night, however the saxophonist was amazing. Overall, the staff was excellent!

Unico certainly deserves its 5 stars. Relaxing atmosphere. Intimate. Good food. Our personal concierge/butlers Roger and Flores facilitated the most seamless, stress free, enjoyable holiday. Spa was wonderful. We had quiet pools if we wanted. Lively pools if we wanted. Beach time. My only complaint is the seaweed on the beach but the hotel did a great job managing it throughout the day and if you walked to an adjacent properties beach you knew just how well they were managing it. Highly recommend this property and highly recommend Roger and Flores if you have a choice. The pool attendants and bar tenders were very attentive and hard working (William/Lucia. I am remiss about some others names). We never really had to ask for drink or food. They read our body language and watched for when we might be ready for whatever. The restaurants were similarly great service though I suspect they are a little understaffed. Saw the servers working very hard and doing great but service was sometimes slow considering the volume to server. I’m also not fond of the number of weddings that were there but I get it. The property is beautiful. And the food and service are 5 stars.
