Great family trip!

S D on Mar 28, 2026

We recently stayed here as a family and had a really great experience overall. The resort itself is beautiful, clean, and well maintained, and there was always something to do for both the kids and us. What really made the trip stand out, though, was the service. David, Jesus, and Alberto were always available, super friendly, and genuinely made things easier for us, whether it was helping with reservations, checking in on us, or just making sure we had everything we needed. The food was solid across the board, and the staff throughout the resort were welcoming and hardworking. You can tell they take pride in what they do. Overall, we had a memorable trip and would definitely consider coming back. Big thanks again to David, Jesus, and Alberto for helping make it such a smooth and enjoyable stay.

Still currently here but wanted to write this review based on my stay late March 2026. Resort was very busy at that time so bare this in mind Negatives: Resort is very busy and, unless you wake up early and go down to the pools before breakfast, you will struggle to get sunloungers There is a limited amount of shade around the pool - some big umbrellas but unlike a lot of other resorts (that have an umbrella between 2 or 3 loungers) I find it is really hard to get a decent shade / sun ratio. Staff are really bad at sorting out problems if the error / mistake is that of the resort. You get blank stares and almost a “computer says not” attitude At the teppanyaki show my 4 year old daughter got splashed with a spray of hot oil, burning her cheek (luckily was cold so rest of her covered in my cardigan, and I appreciate it was a complete accident). I took her out immediately to try to get the burn in cold water. Had to ask for ice. Beyond asking for our room number (I assume for some kind of accident form documentation) there has been no follow up or checking from the management as to her wellbeing. The evening buffet is an absolute disgrace a the management should be ashamed. For such a massive resort there is ONE buffet available for the three hotels. And that has a tiny selection of food. We have queued for up to 40 minutes to get a table. Then my son had to queue for 20 minutes to get some pasta. Very poor selection for kids (stodgy pizza, some chips and hot dogs. Decent crepes for pudding to be fair). I have been so so many all inclusives and this is the smallest selection of food for the size of the resort I have ever experienced. When it’s this busy they need to open at least 2 more buffets. Yes, there are à la carts you can book, but unless you are a millionaire timeshare member you will struggle to get any table that’s not super early or late. Not ideal with young kids. Very hard sell on the timeshare. They offer you “discounts” on various things if you sit through the presentation, which lasts longer than they suggest and the sale much more forceful than they promise. Had to give them a few home truths on the downsides of their resort for them to finally agree we wouldn’t be parting with our money. Just say NO. It’s not worth the savings. If you are expecting really good quality evening entertainment that you can sit and chill and watch don’t come here. The convention centre is far too small for the number of guests, and the few times we went people had to stand 5 deep at the back to watch a pretty poor quality show. Pros: Pools are great, when you can get a lounger. Clean and heated to the right level. Even have some very heated shallow hot tub pools. The food quality (despite my moaning about the evening buffet offering) is good. Could do with offering more for younger guests tastes, but what they do have is good. Breakfasts are by far the best offering, and they have Prosecco available too! Room service includes bottles of wine if requested A good selection of cocktails Rooms have super comfy beds and are really smart in terms of interior. Overall I won’t be returning. Trying to give an honest and balanced review of our experience after 1 week, with a further week to go. Don’t get me wrong, we are enjoying our holiday in the sun, but kind of wish we had been more informed prior to booking a could have chosen a place that better met our family’s current requirements.

Miguel Can saved our vacation!

lucille_spann on Mar 27, 2026

This was our second time vacationing here. The first time was amazing. I’m not sure if it was because the second time was peak season but it was not nearly as good an experience. First, the airport transportation company the hotel recommended wasn’t reliable and we waited at the airport for over 2 hours upon arrival. Then, when we arrived, we had been told via email we could book our dinner reservations (4 adults, my parents, my husband, and me), but when we checked in we were told there was “no restaurant availability” (I did try to book reservations before we arrived but was told only one could be made in advance and the rest has to be done onsite). Upon arrival, they somehow “never received” our only allowable dinner reservation, and they recommended the “buffet with a nativity scene” for Christmas Eve… even though we don’t have children and this was clearly geared toward kids. The trips we booked through the hotel were also “off” and we ended up paying a ton of extra taxes and fees that felt like we were being scammed. The driver showed up 2 hours late so the whole day we were being rushed — when we arrived for snorkeling and the hiking etc. Onsite, it felt like every time we asked for something, the answer was “no”: can I have tajin for the breakfast fruit? NO. Can we sit on the patio (only half full)? NO. With that, the resort is beautiful. It is well kept and peaceful. It never felt crowded. What truly SAVED our trip was Miguel Cab, one of the onsite restaurant managers. On our first night, after the debacle at the airport and then finding out we had no dinner reservations, we just started wandering around aimlessly asking at each place “do you have space?” And the hostess said no (are you sensing the theme here?), but Miguel happened to be walking by and overheard and finally, we got a YES! Not only did he find space for us that night, but he made sure we had reservations every night we were on property so we didn’t have to “enjoy the delightful children’s buffet” as the checkin clerk described. He deserves 5+ stars and a raise. THANK YOU MIGUEL!!
