Great historic hotel with great personel.

aklebanow (Los Angeles, California) on Jul 19, 2024

Great historic hotel (we stayed in the Landmark portion with graceful hallways and beautiful rooms). I would have given a 5, except that a major portion of the Landmark is under construction. Great personel. Special shout out to Jason at the front desk for restaurant and hotel tips and a friendly demeanor. Another shout out to Joyce of Housekeeping for a pleasant attitude and great service. If you use the Club Lounge, you will enjoy friendly service of Uyen. And lastly, long-time bartender, Steve, is such a pleasure to talk too. Again, simply great personel.

Exceptional stay in San Francisco

BeckerFun (El Cajon, California) on Jul 16, 2024

Great place to stay, beautiful hotel with lot's of history. Our stay was for 3 nights. Centrally located in the city. I have one huge shout out to Jeff Aquino, concierge. He really goes beyond to suggest places to visit, great places to eat, how to get there, areas to avoid and ways to save money getting there. We traveled with our grand children and he chatted with them and made them feel extra special. Thanks Jeff, you're awesome! That being said all the employees at the St. Francis were really very nice, courteous and took the extra step to make sure you were having a great stay. We'll be back!

Maybe Expected More

After waiting in line for a while, we were warmly greeted by Luis at the front desk. I had requested an early check in and we were able to get our room early. This was our first time staying here. I had reserved a deluxe room—unsure if that meant not having a view—we just saw concrete from our window. Our room was comfortable and clean. And it was a plus having an inside room—we didn’t hear the street noise. We did however we hear the hum of the elevators. The hot water took awhile to come in the shower. The market treats were great. Concierge was helpful. Loved the lobby decor.

Loved the hotel

Charlie G (Miami, Florida) on Jul 13, 2024

The room was nice. The location is great and fairly close to most sites. Safe neighborhood and great amenities at the hotel. Waiting for the concierge or staff sometimes was delayed, but the attendants are quick to help and very informative. Do not buy from the local winery on site; the wine is overpriced and underwhelming.

Nice Hotel

Sedge1123 (United Kingdom) on Jul 13, 2024

We stayed at The westin for 7 nts had a lovely room on the 30th floor good view of the city. The hotel is under renovation so was a little disappointed didn't get to see the grand lobby or the clock bar which think would be more in keeping of the character of the outside of the building. We paid our 30 dollars aday tourist tax and you get to spend 30 dollars aday in the hotel the cafe bar in lobby very expensive a bottle of lager 11 dollars plus tax,we did have a pizza one night that was good think that was 28 dollars.House keeping cleaned our room everyday it was spotless and kept us topped up with coffee and creamer.you get your 2x cable car tickets 2xbike rides,2x water bottle and a wine tasting voucher we only took the cable car tickets but with being a family of 3 we still had to buy another ticket there was no swapping an extra cable car ticket for anything else.we found our way very easily around the city we went to target which is just a short walk away and got snacks and beer and wine for the room. There is a mcdonalds very close which we ate at for breakfast a couple of times .We spent most of our time at pier 39 and fishermans warf and would probably of preferred to stay closer to there we walked it everyday took about 35 mins .we got the hop on and off bus outside the hotel not the big bus ,we got 2 days for 40 dollars each which was really good value and you get to see so much and go over the golden gate bridge which can be very cold and windy but great fun the drivers are fab and really make you laugh you get the bus at 10am at union square.we had a fab stay and loved San Francisco so much ,big thanks to Jeff on concierge who.printed our boarding passes out on our last day we will return.
