Good property and good views!

The property is great and we had a good one night stay. Even had complimentary dessert and wine to celebrate our special occasion. One big downside is that they have stopped offering the breakfast buffet on weekdays, which is one of the things we were looking forward to given their buffet is quite good. Our little one enjoys the breakfast buffets as well and we called the hotel ahead to confirm. They mentioned that it is ongoing but didn’t mention that it’s unavailable on weekdays. If we would have known then we would have adjusted our dates accordingly.

A great place to stay on the waterfront in downtown Vancouver

We stayed Jan 12-14th and had a great stay. The hotel room was extremely comfortable and the heavenly bed did not disappoint. Hotel staff were extremely nice and helpful. The restaurants have great food, wine and reasonable prices. The location is great, in a very safe area, and is close to Stanley Park and many other downtown attractions. We will return and highly recommend the Westin Bayshore.
Excellent Harbor Location!

This was a great place to stay the night before we left for an Alaskan Cruise. Great harbor location. We were here with another couple. Our room had a great balcony overlooking the harbor. The rooms were wonderful and the location was great for walking along the harbor and close to great restaurants as well. A great Marriott representation of the brand!
Westin Bayshore: The Quintessential Vancouver Experience
PookyCake (Victoria, Canada) on Dec 11, 2022
Open since 1961, and called a “true child of the 1960s” by CN Traveler, the Westin Bayshore represents the quintessential Vancouver experience: On the one hand, you’ve got the powerful Pacific Ocean at your doorstep, back-dropped by the North Shore Mountains; on the other hand, you have the famous Vancouver Seawall, Stanley Park and West End either right outside, or a few minutes’ walk away. Really, it doesn’t get anymore “Vancouver” than that! In any event, my partner and I were staying at Westin Bayshore on business (conference). It was our first time here and, I have to say, we were quite pleased with our experience. The hotel, despite its age, has been beautifully maintained and modernized. The lobby, with its marble flooring, highlights a classic luxury – something further entrenched by the polished staff, be it the doorman or those working the check-in desk. They perform yeoman’s duty to ensure a comfortable and smooth experience. Entering our room, we found the accommodations to be cozy. The off-white/grey walls, patterned floor, classic headboard, light fixtures, flat screen TV, desk and king size bed all lent to a relaxing, warm atmosphere. The bathroom, with its walk-in shower was also nicely appointed. This was my first time sleeping on the signature “Heavenly Beds” and, let me say, believe the hype! The bed was super cozy and resulted in a restful sleep for each of our two nights. Beyond the comfortable room, guests might also be interested in the Westin Bayshore’s celebrity history. Over its 60+ years, this hotel has served host to many cultural and political heavyweights, including Queen Elizabeth II and her husband Prince Phillip. Princess Diana also stayed here on a separate occasion. The eclectic Howard Hughes also stayed at the Westin for a 6-month period in 1972 (and apparently wasn’t ever seen the whole time!). The suite in which he stayed has since been aptly named the “Howard Hughes Suite.” I admit that’s actually really cool! While the Westin Bayshore isn’t exactly in the heart of downtown, it’s close enough to numerous attractions and amenities sure to please. As already noted, Stanley Park is minutes away and a plethora of shops + restaurants await you in Vancouver’s dynamic West End. As such, we highly recommend this classic hotel!
