The rooms are dated but were clean. The food is designed for a bland tourist palate. The real positive about this place was the staff. Every staff member we spoke with was kind and helpful. The two that really stood out were Arture and Fernando. I watched both of them, at separate times, help people how were being rude and condescending to them due to the guests' airlines error. Both continued to be calm and respectful. They were great examples of gracious hospitality.

My husband and I recently spent a week in Loreto Mexico. This was our first visit. Loreto Bay Golf Resort and Spa has a lot of potential. The people there are very friendly. The rooms clean and comfortable. The service was good but a little slow. Mexican time. We Americans are too in a hurry most of the time anyway. It was cold and windy when we got there. We did not get any Whale watching, snorkeling or fishing excursions. I probably wouldn't go in February again , but that is not the resorts fault. As the week progress, the weather got better. The bay is so beautiful when it is sunny and calm. Great beach to walk on. Lots of pelicans, Egrets, Great blue herons, dolphins etc... We played golf one day. The course is in a little bit rough shape but it is beautiful and we had a lot of fun. We had breakfast included in our rate. It was pretty much the same stuff everyday (buffet), but the food was not bad. Drinks were very inexpensive. We played pool in the bar and got books from the exchange bookshelf. Really a great place if you are not looking for a 4 or 5 star hotel. At only $103 per night including breakfast, it was a great value. I have a few employees that I would like to recognize. First of all Fernando at the front desk. Also the waiters at pool and breakfast: Sergio, Alfredo, Leonardo, Miguel and Leopoldo. Thank you for all that you do.

Our wedding at the resort was absolutely magical!!! We had several family members stay at the resort hotel I’m addition to holding the ceremony and reception dinner onsite. Lizbeth, the event coordinator was amazing, she was so helpful with planning and our wedding was seamless, excellent food and beverage and all of the staff was attentive and accommodating the whole way through. Our family and friends were very happy with the hotel!!! Highly recommend the resort for weddings and events!!! Many, many thanks to Lizbeth and all the staff who helped with our special day!!

I cane to Loreto bay as it was on my bucket list for some time.they made me pay up front for all nights. The hotel room smelled like a sewer, the room was dirty and old, the food at the restaurant was very poor quality and I checked out early. They would not give me a refund although I was checking out 7 days early. Very misleading place, a one star place, stay away from this place if you like nice places!

Outside of Resort Looks Great -- Smaller Bedrooms are Substandard

My husband and I were put up at this property overnight by Alaska Air after a mechanical cancelled our flight. On the outside (the buildings & grounds), it looked impressive. But we got a single room with 2 single beds and it was pretty bad. If we had a choice in our situation, we would've left. The room was spartan. Only 2 sheets for warmth on a hard bed, concrete bathroom with dirt in corners, worn towels, a shower head on the brink of complete clogging. (The breakfast buffet had bees crawling on the food!) However, a tour guide who was with us said that if you get a "master suite," it is acceptable. But a typical hotel room is definitely NOT.
