We just returned from a weeks vacation. We arrived on a Thursday around lunch time and room was ready. However when we arrived to our room, we found out that it had 2 double beds and the room smelled very musty. I went back down to the front desk and asked for a different room, one with a king bed. After spending 20 minutes going back and forth they upgraded us to a suite with a king bed. This was far more than I expected. We were told that all standard rooms have 2 double beds only and the family rooms have the king beds with bunk beds. Keep that in mind when choosing your room. The rooms are old and dated, but they are clean. Food -We were disappointed with the buffet. There is not a lot of choices and a lot of the food was very spicy, and there were no warnings telling you that. The al a carte restaurants were amazing. We especially liked the Italian restaurant. Hugo and Enrique will go out of their way to serve you! There is one adult pool with a jacuzzi hot tub. This pool could be cleaned more often. Lots of things floating in the pool. If you have kids, the kids pool area is amazing. Your kids will have a great time there. There 2 other pools. One has activities going on in it, however we found it hard to participate because they were only in Spanish. We spent most of our time at the beach and adult pool. The sports bar has a smell to it that almost knocks you out when you enter it. It has 1 pool table, air hockey that doesn’t work, ping pong table and fooze ball. There is also a small theatre that plays kids movies at night. They also have video games for the kids to play. However it only opens at 6 pm. The shows at night are good. But the location of where they are is hard to find. You have to leave the resort and walk down and across the street to find Nitro Club. We finally found it on the 2nd day. Other than the nightly shows, there is nothing to do. There is no entertainment in the lobby or anywhere else in the resort. The grounds are beautiful, however they could use more staff to clean public areas. We found that guests are lazy and don’t clean up after themselves. Leaving food and drinks for the birds to eat. Overall we did have a relaxing trip and the staff was vert friendly.but I don’t think we would return.

We were disappointed in our return trip, second time this year and so much change. The general cleanliness of the resort washrooms was sub standard with many facilities less than minimal public standards with missing toilet seats, non functional faucets, and feces on the walls. Most staff were disinterested in providing customer service. We were informed there was a charge for extra water beyond 4 bottles a day, even if you had 4 people in the room. The ala carte restaurants did have welcoming staff and meals but the buffet was tired and missing some basics like bacon.

We were here back in February 2019 and brought our family back in October/November 2019 to celebrate birthdays and were appalled at this place. It is filthy dirty including feces on the walls in the bathroom by the pool. Many staff were very not very nice to us English speaking Canadian. Our poor family that includes a 1 and 3 year old were rationed to 4 bottles of water a day and told to go buy some at the OXXO - shocking when you understand what they paid for the all inclusive. Some of the food has been okay but things like the ocean/pool snack has had birds eating and pooping on it. We are very seasoned travellers and have been to some very “rustic” places but are very upset at the lack of quality and cleanliness at this hotel. Don’t go there - Signed an extremely polite easy going Canadian!

Resort expectations where high when we arrived. Beautiful beach, expect beach vendors jump the rope and harass you all day long. People smoke all over the place in front of little kids. No enforcement from resort staff that I could see anywhere. Mexican tourists come first which is fine, maybe make a point of appreciating other countries(Canadians) business. Food is mediocre at best, the buffet is basically the same slop everyday. Mostly over cooked Mexican dishes, very little other options. If you like hotdogs your in luck, they are offered at every meal. Lucky to be called breakfast sausages the am. Buffet doesn't open till 1pm which makes no sense. The snack area at noon is just complete insanity, you are a family resort and kids wanna eat before 1pm. Pools areas are nice, kids water park is great. I can find nice pools, nice beaches elsewhere and eat hot dogs at home when I choose too. Won't be returning to this place, calling it a resort is mediocre at best.

    Great food and great people

We spent a week at the Crown Paradise Club and it was absolutely fabulous. All the staff is super helpful and very kind. There are a lot of options for food so you will never be hungry. They have waiters and waitresses all over the beach and poop areas so you can always have a drink. The staff is super friendly and even remember my kids names. We didn't ask for a crib but one afternoon one of the ladies from the staff knocked on the door and offered is a play pen for our 1 year old. They have a crew that cleans the hotel and no detail or fixture is missed. However I do believe the rooms need a face lift.
