    Visited this November for my husband and my birthday, and while all the installations and personnel are extremely nice and attentive, the food (from any of the different restaurants or locations) does not leave a lasting impression and is more on the "meh" side. There seems to be a good effort on the kitchen's side but maybe the ingredients are not up to par. Can't really put my finger on it.

    Wonderful visit!! The resort is absolutely stunning and clean. The staff are so attentive and friendly! Javier Pools is the man to see at breakfast at spice and lunch at Pelicanos/Ricon Mexicano which btw has amazing food too! He is friendly and made our visit better. Roof top dinner is worth the money also! Ask for Marco if you want outstanding customer service at Maria Marie! Goes above and beyond every time! Get the habanero salsa...it’s nuclear!!! Great environment, great staff, and delicious food! I do wish we would have been warned prior to our visit about the entertainment aspect not being as much. Our trip was rescheduled due to Covid and are here now so I do understand but we paid full price and some nights had absolutely zero entertainment and the hotel bars close at 11. It’s definitely not the resorts fault and we will be back. This was our second visit here and will always have a special place in our hearts!

    From check-in til check out a week later, we were highly impressed with the staff- both their service and commitment to ongoing COVID-19 protocols. Check-in experience was good- but even though we showed up after check-in time, room was not quite ready. 20 minute wait- nothing terrible and we had a nice refreshing drink while we waited. Excellent help with our bags- very friendly and efficient bellmen. Room was excellent- way nicer that the pics and video reviews seem to capture. Nice decor- large rooms. We had a “Deluxe King room” which is one of their pretty standard rooms and LOVED it. Lots of rain this week- so we spent a little more time in the room than we might have otherwise... but the room remained great throughout our stay. Fast (and included) room service with an excellent menu. Minibar in room also included- and even chips and peanuts! Food at all included restaurants was good- breakfast buffet always excellent. Orange juice was amazing. Lunch was good usually- and dinner was pretty good too. I’m a bit of a fussy eater so sometimes can be challenging to find something I truly love- but let me say, I truly Loved the spring rolls at Asiana, and the lasagna at Kukulkan. Pool was good- a little cool this time of the year, but the air was warm and when it wasn’t raining- it was refreshing to get in. Beach is a waste of time- terrible. Not for swimming. No loungers or beds left on the beach due to erosion. Their beach is basically gone- but nice to look at the water. Pool loungers are few and far between- best spots save for cabanas/beds that they rent out. Some are free- some are for rent... service at loungers and cabanas second to none. Never had to look for service- always efficient, friendly, and present when needed. Now- most importantly to me at least- had the BEST MASSAGE OF MY LIFE at Spazul... and I’ve had more than a few massages over my lifetime. Denis did an amazing job - exactly as requested and better. Very relaxing, not shy to get into trouble areas a little more, and it was the full length paid for or more! Also- Hilton Honors Diamond members get a few little discounts and upgrades I found- but most notably- full access to the hydrotherapy area of Spazul! I also had another massage during the week at A place next door for less money... you get what you pay for. That one was ok to fine- this massage at Spazul was AMAZING. I’d skip the little massage place next door next time and get Denis twice. Overall- great stay, but I’d be tempted to stay at a nice Hilton hotel that was not all-inclusive next time as 5th Ave has so many great restaurants and shops I wanted to try but hated to knowing I was paying for meals back at the all-inclusive. Might try a different hotel next time, and with the per day money I say, go to a beach club in a nicer stretch of the beach, eat at a wider variety of restaurants, and visit Denis at Spazul a couple of times!

    Food was incredible! Delicious dishes and the Duck Asilao was definitely the best dish for me in the hotel. Spring rolls are also a must! Chef Rudy is very talented as well and would recommend this everyone at least one night during their stay. Francisco and Victor provided us an amazing service and a wine glass always full! (Not even half full lol). My wife ordered sushi and was also impressed with the quality! So basically anything you order will be good.

    I’ve had a wonderful time visiting this resort. The variety of restaurants and pools on site have made this trip memorable. The entire staff has been wonderful. Marco and Joe do a great job with their service and attentiveness at Maria Maria. Thank you.
