Best Disney property if you're a Marriott Bonvoy member.

Being a Marriott Bonvoy member, I like making use of whatever perks I can when I travel. While it doesn't blatantly convey this through Disney advertising, the Swan is actually a Westin. Thus, your points and perks work here! The location is extremely convenient if you're planning on going to either Disney's Hollywood Studios (close walk) or EPCOT (an even closer walk.) The only challenge we had is that the app they have for the hotel didn't allow for ordering gluten-fee since no allergy options/information are conveyed. One would have to go to the restaurant in person and discuss what is available defeating the contact-free purpose of the app in the first place. Aside from this small detail, the hotel and our stay was great!
Wonderful Stay

This was my third stay during Covid and probably 20th lifetime stay. I'm a long time SPG/Marriot member for this hotel alone. My family travels to Disneyworld often as DVC members but always start or finish our stay at the Swan or Dolphin. The staff is wonderful, reliable, and never disappoint. I recommend the two queen + balcony resort view. We stayed in room 326 and the view was spectacular. Pools and dining are awesome. I have always been so pleased with this stay when we leave I must stop at the front desk to tell the staff thank you for another wonderful visit. We will be back in late March and cannot wait.
Not a magical experience

A few weeks ago I was in Orlando and spent the weekend at at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin. This hotel is NOT a Disney property and is run by Marriott. I waited before posting because I reached out to them hoping they would make things right. I highly advise you to never stay here. When I checked in, I was told my room was almost ready and could get my keys once it had been inspected. When I got my keys I went up to the room, but they didn’t work so I went down to the front desk and they activated them, except they didn’t work again and security had to let me in and finally got the keys to work. I went for a walk around the property and when I came back, I turned on the light next to my clock and found friend body fluids ( I would like to believe it is snot, but it’s probably ejaculate) on it. I went to the front desk with my picture and they gave me a different room and refunded one nights resort fees. My new room didn’t work out so well either, because the ac fan made clunking noises. Engineering came, looked at it and moved me to a third room which had no body fluids or noisy ac. I complained to the manager the next day ( because by the time I got into my third room it was almost 10pm) and asked to be comped at least a full night stay, because body fluids are gross, and even more gross during Covid. He told me he would only give me half off one night and refund another nights resort fee, then thanked me for coming out and staying during this time. He was not going to do more and I knew it. The following morning ( check out day) my toilet stopped flushing correctly and there was a bug in my bathroom sink. I reached out to Marriott as soon as I got back, and they did tell me they opened a case. I called them two days ago to check on it, and they have closed it because the hotel executives at the hotel think I was compensated enough. I called them- they did not call me to tell me. I am attaching pictures. I gave them a chance to do right by me and the situation and they didn’t, so now I am letting everyone I know hear about it. It was the most “unmagical experience” I’ve ever had at Disney. From now on, I will only stay in a Disney run hotel.
No Rooms in the Inn

My family and I planned a stay for 4 nights beginning on a Saturday in February. We had a reservation about 3 weeks in advance. When we arrived on that Saturday around 11pm, the check in worker took my info and then walked away from the desk for about 10 minutes with no communication as to why. The desk manager came up and said they had no more rooms and that we'd be staying at the Dolphin right next door. This wasn't a major issue but the lack of communication and kindness was ridiculous. The manager behaved as though I was putting him out for wanting the room I had reserved. We were traveling with a discount due to a family member that works with Marriott and when I asked him about some kind of retribution for having no room, he kind of scoffed and made reference to the discount. He was very rude. We stayed at the Dolphin, did not get the type of room we had reserved (2 queens) and were stuck with 2 fulls. I would not recommend this hotel at this point.
Great Stay

After a long day driving we were excited to arrive at the Swan. Check-in was fast and easy. Everyone was wearing masks so felt safe. Room was great, beds comfortable and a great showerhead (rain shower and wand). Parking cost was pretty high, but you got free parking at the them parks by showing your room key. We will be coming back the next time we go to Orlando.
