Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos

The property location is great . The dinner options excellent . Breakfast was good . Lunch could use some help. The entertainment staff was wonderful. A new group was starting during our week . Edward is in charge and does amazing workouts. Caro , Frankie and Alejandro as well and so nice. Santiago at the front desk very helpful . If you speak Spanish it definitely is a plus for you I noticed and I don’t so.it was a great week away but I definitely prefer an all adult hotel. The adult pool was a nice touch .

Hyatt ziva in los Cabo’s was the best resort/hotel I stayed at , service amenities and everything was excellent. Everything was super clean, and in this climate of Covid, I felt safer at the Hyatt ziva then being in America! Staff was very helpful, friendly and nice even when the other guest were being rude to them! even though everyone was the best, my breakfast waiter Arnulfo was exceptionally the best, he was so nice kind and genuine. Hyatt ziva please thank all your staff they really did a amazing job!

Overall I’d rate it a 4.5 We went with our family and another two families to enjoy the sun & beach. We typically go to all-inclusive for the ease it offers families. Pros: Food was very good for an all-inclusive. Extensive buffet & the restaurants offered great cuisine. We were traveling with foodies and everyone was pleased with the food choices. I’d say the best food we’ve had at an all-inclusive. Beautiful grounds, nice large beach with lots of chairs & cabanas. This is a non-swimmable beach but we had great pools to get into water when we wanted to cool off. Nice pool areas & a separate kids play pool area to offer different kinds of pool experiences. Great food & drink service in restaurants & on the beach. We had the Ziva suite which was large & had 2 bathrooms which is perfect when traveling as a family. Cons: Rooms were dark, bad lighting, slightly dreary. We heard this from all of the people traveling in our group. Loud music began blasting at the main pool at 9am. We all thought this was ODD because it was LOUD dance music. The opposite of relaxing. We haven’t encountered that before at a resort. At 11pm, they switch off all fire pits, outdoor, pool & lounge area lighting. We were playing board games & the lights in the main lobby switched off on us at 11pm. Pretty weird. Lastly, may be a pro for some but we did not like the constant nagging about wearing masks while we were OUTSIDE. There is just no science behind wearing masks outdoors while walking around the pool just to sit down on a lounge chair & whip them off. The employees were constantly monitoring this. I’m not sure if this is a Hyatt mandate or if this is being done throughout Cabo. We were in Cancun in December & had no such mask mandates while walking around the resort OUTSIDE.

Look. I am they type of person that can find something wrong with everything and yet I am coming up short for the Hyatt Ziva. We went for 7 days with 2 young kids (6) and (4) and we travel a ton with them. The private transportation was prompt, check-in was easy and the bellman was so friendly. Room was spacious. The bed was super comfortable and soft with nice pillows and sheets, normally I am so ready to go home because of the beds. The room was clean and tidy, no bugs! The swim up rooms looked amazing and we want to grab one of those the next time. We ate at the sushi restaurant the first night and it was pretty good. We actually loved the steak restaurant the best! You could eat right on the beach with your toes in the sand. You had to make a reservation which is expected at these resorts and they could only be at 50% capacity so seriously cannot blame them for us having to either have a super early or super late dinner. The food everywhere was so amazing! The tacos from the adult pool were my favorite and the hotdogs were incredible. I normally don't even like hotdogs but something about these. The drinks were just the right amount of alcohol and not super sweet. We loved the mango margaritas. We went on a cruise prior to the pandemic and I lost 5lbs because the food was so bad! This was not the case with Hyatt Ziva. I only eat if I like the food and I am pretty sure I packed on 5lbs this trip. The staff was seriously so nice and accommodating and all the food was fresh and deserts amazing. They had entertainment most nights and my kids loved the kids club and all the activities and crafts they did. The waterpark for the little ones gave us a few hours of uninterrupted lounge chair time vs. the deeper pool where they want us to play with them the whole time. The staff was always asking if we needed drinks and everyone had a mask on and pulled up the whole time. If you want to get a good spot you have to run down first thing in the AM to grab chairs. We always stopped for a yummy cappuccino before grabbing our chairs. We felt so safe on the resort. They have staff that patrols the beach at night and the resort is gated and they are very strict on checking names and room numbers before the gates open! We did the COVID test for free (if you stay more than like 3 nights) and we had to move our appointment because of an excursion and we got the results back in a few hours. All negative, super easy. Everyone was really safe and they enforced masks while walking around the property. I could for sure see myself going back here if we chose to do a large resort again vs a private house. Bien! Bien! Hyatt Ziva and staff.

Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos NEVER disappoints. This was our second visit with a large group of 40 people with 11 families with ages from 12-18. The staff was amazing and very helpful and friendly. The rooms were beautiful and would highly recommend the swim up suites. There were activities for all and wonderful restaurants to choose from. We cannot wait to return. Thank you Hyatt Ziva for an AMAZING stay and accommodating our large group! Our stay at Hyatt Ziva is one we will never forget!
