Absolutely beautiful resort! Can't think of anything to complain about. Honestly just ignore the negative reviews and book it. Perfect vacay!!!

We have just returned from our 9th time to this beautiful resort. Our check in was silky smooth as Idanny got us all set up. As always, he was fast and informative. We spend most of our days at the Platinum pool where we were fortunate to have Julio for a few days. What an awesome bar tender! After Julio left to go home Mateo treated us as if we were VIP’s. Even when he was off setting up for weddings he’d take a second or two to make sure we were well taken care of! Most amazing at the Platinum pool is Glenys, always with a welcoming smile and wave. Always making sure our drinks were full and joking around with us while continually on the move looking after all of us pool dwellers. Glenys obviously loves her job and does an amazing job! After an afternoon nap in room 4813, which has an incredible view of the ocean, we would head to the coffee shop where Chama, who my wife has affectionately nick named her light eyes, would serve us drinks, donuts and Oreo crepes. This coffee shop is a definite go to, it’s like a Caribbean Starbucks! Our dinners were spread out but our favourites included the pizza place, PBG and SoHo. Orlando is a truly epic host at PBG and SoHo. This man goes out of his way to make you feel like family and easily remembers you and the things you enjoy. On top of great service, every time we encountered him outside of the restaurants he took a moment to bump fists and say hi. We feel like Orlando should be wearing a black suit and running and supervising a restaurant. He is truly an asset to Grand Bavaro Princess! Finishing off each day we would head up to the rooftop bar where Luis treated us like VIP’s. Never an empty glass and trying to teach me Spanish (which is a lost cause, but I try). We got to show him some hockey playoffs while we watched in the amazing sea breeze! We are not “foodies” but we feel like we ate like royalty and always had an abundant of selection of delicious food. Our group was 10 people and none of us experienced even the slightest stomach issues. I still feel like this resort is a diamond in the rough. While other resorts seem to get more hype, this one NEVER disappoints. If I was going to recommend anything for this resort, I would recommend serving Platinum alcohol at the “quiet” pool and turn the Platinum pool into an Adults Only spot. Kids in this pool seems pointless, there’s nothing there for them other than higher end booze for their parents. It would be nice to have a pool with no jumping, splashing and crying kids. I know this sounds a little cold, but I think it’s correct. If you’re considering this resort, we highly recommend it. The staff truly make this beautiful resort a 5 star destination!

My Family and I stayed at the Grande Bavaro Princess for a week in April 2024. At arrival, the check in process was a bit delayed but ended up occurring eventually. When we arrived at our room, there were a lot of issues. The AC was not working at all, the bed sheets were stained and the mini bar fridge was not working and the items inside were half drank and used. Trying to get a hold of someone to assist in correcting these items was nearly impossible. Took them over 8 hours to address these items after we were able to get a hold of someone. Once they changed the sheets, they replaced them with another pair of sheets that were now stained with blood. Again, nearly impossible for us to get someone to change them for a second time. They arrived at 12:30am to change these sheets after advising the front desk at 9:00pm. There was 1 individual who really helped us out with this whole ordeal and I want to thank her for here assistance even after being off work and shift. Thank you Leona from the front desk for being so helpful. Pool and Beach were amazing. Clean and just beautiful. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Was easy to find chairs to sit on both at the beach and pool. Although, poolside and beachside there were no servers and you had to get your one drinks at the bar whenever you wanted a drink. Food was also good. Both at the buffets and specialty restaurants. I want to especially thank Ingrit, Kennedy, Gregorio and Iliander from the Buffet for being so accommodating, friendly and available for my family and I whenever we required anything during our entire stay. They always had smiles on their faces and ensured we had all we needed to be comfortable during breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Gracias team. Keep doing great work! It is truly noticed. Overall, I’d rate this resort 7 out of 10. With a bit of hesitancy to attend another Princess Resort. But staff were amazing and friendly at all encounters. Just a lot of delays in the beginning of our trip.

Staffs are very friendly, excellent service. Beach is beautiful & clean. The ecological park is magnificient with mangroves & animals; turtles & birds. The peacocks are all over the place. Love that we can eat at the beach But the internet SUCKS.
