    Love El Cid

I love El Cid but last year I bought additional points and, unbeknownst to me, I apparently signed up for $4,000 worth of Infinite Privileges membership. I was told I got two free years then received a call telling me I owed 4,000 more dollars. For agreeing to pay quickly, I received points, money, certificates, etc. However, now that I've agreed to pay, I'm unable to get through to my agent. She tells me she reserved a stay for me at a resort in MN but the resort has no record to this reservation and now she doesn't answer or return my call. Unfrtunately this is the sort of service I expect from "too good to be true" opportunities. I'd love someone from El Cid to call me at 612-708-1742 to help me with this or get me out of it.

It was an amazing experience for my husband and I first trip to Mexico. The staff were AMAZING, the resort was well kept and super clean all the time. The food choices and quality was AWESOME. We really created a lot of great memories and have already recommended to our friends and family. We will definitely be back!

My wife and I found El CId (Puerto Morales, Riviera Maya) several years ago and return annually. All-inclusive food and beverages. Several colonial style buildings with mangrove conservancy winding throughout. The chefs at the French, Mediterranean and Italian venues are first class. Broad assortment of pools and hot tubs , protected beach and ocean accesst plus other activities. On site Tour company. My wife frequents the spa soon after we arrive (long airplane trip) so she is relaxed for the whole stay. Attentive staff. We brought longtime friends with us one winter to birdwatch and visit cultural sites. Ventus (very modern architecture) opened as an expansion of El Cid a few years ago and added more food venues, bigger pools and hot tubs. The barrier reef just off shore is gorgeous for snorkeing. Don't miss it!

Me and my sisters family went for a week. We both have 2 children from 4 through 12 year olds and they loved the pools and the food! I have to say the drinks were really good. We had an all inclusive. And every day had something different to eat. We also wanted to try local restaurants. And the Taxi that you can get from the resort can take you to different attractions and restaurants. The Resort was very safe and very tropical. Iguanas are everywhere but mean no harm. We also saw alligators in ponds that are fenced up around the resort. I can't wait to go back.

    Great resort for families

This was our first time at Marina El Cid, and we had a wonderful time, cannot say enough good things: the staff were very friendly, helpful, and simply outstanding to go out of their way to help and in trying to engage guests to partake in the daily activities! They are food allergy aware, which was a tremendous relief for us, as we have food allergies, and were able to clarify any questions or concerns. Considering the global pandemic, the staff were constantly cleaning and disinfecting washrooms, and the facilities. The kids club was great, my boys went a couple days and had a great time. We upgraded our room to building 17, ground floor, and it's closer to the beach and pool and we had morning views of the pool and ocean which made for a wonderful and restful vacation. The only reason I cannot give this resort an "excellent" review is the beach, it's not the nicest because of the seaweed and rough surface under the water, I would recommend your bring aquasocks if you try to venture in to the water and don't mind seaweed touching you... however do go for a walk, about 6-8 minute walk, the dolphin marina is nearby, we walked in the morning, and my kids loved seeing the dolphins.
