Very Nice people. Amazing location. Refurbished rooms with jawdropping ocean view. 5 different restaurants to choose from every night. Also loved the BBQ at the beach every day. We will be back next year.

We stayed at standard section. The property is spectacular, dotted with coconut trees and most beautiful pools. The best drinks are served at the lobby bar. We dined at ala carte, lunch buffet, breakfast buffet&snack bar. I received the 3 booking tickets of ala carte when I arrived. Big shout out to Leyaney, Lilier and Lisandra, whom I contacted prior to arrival, they went above and beyond to fulfill my every request. Our last day all servers came to say goodbye. Please people tip the staff, they work so hard. My observation is family concierge and reserve section are not worth the money. Beach at standard is much nicer, pools bigger. Your kids still have access to kids’ club. Beach towels never available anywhere. Please invest in some beach towels. It has the nicest beach, plenty of shades and lounge chair. We enjoyed free sailing boat rides. We didn't pay for upgrade but we pleasantly surprised to get a room with ocean and pool view! Shout out to customer service team or the reception whoever did this. But rooms need improvement. We stayed at building 21, the room needs upgrade in soft furnishings, old curtains. 1 of light fixture cannot be turned off no matter what. There are not enough electric outlets for charging. Washrooms updated, but it takes time for the hot water to come in. The closets smelled musty, my clothes smelled, i was missing my washing machine. There is not a dull moment at this resort. The entertainment staff will never let it happen.

I have stayed in Melia operated resorts all over Cuba at least 30 times. This was my first and last time at this resort. I knew ths resort was under renovation so before booking I read reviews and responses from the general manager saying that renos will be finished by Nov 15th. So I booked for Dec 15th to the 22nd. Well more than half of the was closed, Main pool underconstruction, no rooms in the standard section open, main lobby, main buffet, theatre, bank, gift shop, bars all CLOSED. Only 2 restaurant a la carte open, Wasn't even able to get change (pesos) at reception area which was terrible if you wanted to give tips to the hard working cuban staff. I could say much more but to resume I find it totally un acceptable for a 4.5* resort. To top it off 4 days of rain out of 7.

12 of us (6 adults & 6 kids under 12) stayed there from Jan 4-11. Last minute we found out from our travel agent that part of the resort was closed and we were being upgraded to the Reserve family concierge section. Turned out great! Beach is beautiful, lots of chairs, shallow for kids, could walk for miles. Food is plentiful and pretty decent for Cuba. Bar service was great at the Reserve lobby and pool. Elsewhere was good too but these two seemed friendlier and drinks were better. Blended iced coffee in that lobby was amazing! Waiters on the beach were wonderful, Frank was amazing!!! Grill at the beach was perfect for lunch. The Kids Club staff was AMAZING... shout out to Meylin, Claudia and Jany. These ladies were wonderful with the kids. They had a special dinner, lots of activities, sand castle building, dance parties, clown and magicians, etc. I was lucky enough to win a massage at the spa, was beautiful and masseuse was really good. All in all a great vacation spot, good service, rooms are big and clean, resort is large and well kept.

We just got back from a week of fun at Paradisus. My two kids loved the place from daiquiris to learning tennis (Mucho Gracious Miguel the tennis instructor). The Kid’s Club staff (Iyani, Claudia and Maya) were great + Jose and the animation team kept my two entertained. Raul the concierge was amazing. Highly recommend Sakura the Japanese restaurant. Buffets are ok but remember to ask for reduced salt at every opportunity + beef at medium rare + grab some cheese and bring to omelette station or enjoy the powdered stuff. Watch out for inconsistent hamburgers (some days very good and other days not sure if it was ground beef). The main lobby staff could be better informed (leading me in the wrong direction numerous times) + the nautical center needs to keep more consistent hours. Overall - very enjoyable and recommend for families.
