    Stayed here at the end of our Tui tour and stay. Absolutely fantastic resort with 5 star service, staff, rooms, food choice and setting is outstanding! We enjoyed the beach club pool and the wildlife around the resort was a treat! Was a dream holiday. The rooms are another level lovely. Cannot find one single fault.....what dream holidays are made of.

    A downgraded experience

    We stayed at this hotel with my family during the second/third week of September. Firstly I would like to say that I don't usually write reviews on TripAdvisor but in this case I felt compelled to do so as the senior management in the hotel does not seem to want to talk to guests. This could be due to the current COVID situation or just the way they operate. The staff at the hotel are outstanding, really wanting to go all out to ensure that you are having a good time and feel safe. They are always available and follow most times (we did have some basic failures that I will go into detail later). On the other hand, the top management is no where to be seen. As a frequent traveller I try to connect with the hotel management at some point towards the end of the trip to thank them and share feedback. In this case it proved very difficult... Asked to see the General Manager and was told the Hotel Manager would come to say hello, which he didn't. The next day at breakfast asked again and was told neither were at the office and that someone else would come to say hello. The fifth day, and last in my stay, when I asked again at breakfast the waiter, realising my frustration simply told me that the General Manager usually doesn't meet guests and that the Hotel Manager was unavailable as he was usually busy in meetings. This seems strange but I must admit that the service staff do a great job at providing the service. The hotel itself enjoys an amazing location set on one of the best beaches in the region and surrounded by incredible gardens and natural landscape which intertwines with the different bungalows the rooms are located in giving it a sense of privacy in spite of the large number of rooms it has. It has numerous restaurants and swimming pools as well as a kids club and spa. All in all all the necessary attributes required for a great hotel. Unfortunately this potential does not translate into reality. Due to COVID the hotel has downscaled their operation in order to cater to reduced occupancy and limit costs which is completely understandable and most hotels are doing so. In this case it just feels like a downgraded experience as services are limited, facilities are closed and service is much slower than you would expect for a Westin Resort. One point that really shocked and worried me was their choice of accommodation for guests. The hotel has bungalows with 4-8 rooms per building and two main towers with approximately 150 rooms. I would have expected that in order to maintain the feeling of luxury and distancing they would have taken advantage of this and spread out their guests in the different modules. Instead everyone is hosted in the same two buildings and share one central pool during the day which becomes crowded and unsafe. Real pity they took this decision as it just downgrades the hotel to the likes of a Four Points of Holiday Inn. Would certainly consider returning to this destination but perhaps at a different hotel or wait until they have all working again.

    I visited the hotel 2 weeks ago with my family and it was a fantastic weekend !! They are following all the suggested protocols by the government due to Covid-19. The hotel is cleaning all the common areas frequently and disinfecting the pool chairs and all the Restaurant tables and chairs. the Restaurants are not offering a buffet at this moment, for security reasons, but you have a huge offer and variety to enjoy we tried all the Restaurants and our Favorite was Spirulla, the Italian Restaurant, it´s fantastic, Caracolla and Faisenella are amazing, but Spirulla was the winner for us.. We had a terrific time, I hope to come back soon and enjoy the great service they offer

    We stayed at the Westin the second week after they opened after being closed for 5 months. Not all the buildings at the resort are open for occupancy so at the moment the adult lounge club is not open and all guests are being housed in the adult only building. Pros: Our room was very clean and all areas were constantly being cleaned. The staff is more than ready to welcome visitors back. Shout out to Jovan the manager, Alejandra, Jose and Andre in the Faisanela Restaurant, and Gabriel, Luis and Marbel in the Nautilus bar. Cons: We had some problems with making reservations both with the hotel locally and with the 1-800 number. Jovan made sure we were compensated fairly for our experience. The coaties are out in full force. While some people think they're cute and in fact feed them, this causes a problem in that they become aggressive when they're not fed. They tend to knock over drinks and get into bags if not tended. We would definitely stay again.

    Recently stayed at the Westin Playa Conchal with my husband for his birthday. The rooms were comfortable. The beach is public. We rent it some jet skis from Erik on the beach . The tour was super fun . We will be back to Westin. By the way we are truly grateful to Erik for his services and We strongly recommend him .
