It's a beautiful hotel with an amazing view to the ocean, the service is so nice and the staff is very friendly, there is a Spa at the end of the hotel and you can play golf also, you will love this place if your visiting Loreto, there is a season where you can see blue Whales, please do not forget to drink a Margarita
What a HORRIBLE experience

The property is very basic. Nothing warm or inviting about the environment. It absolutely needs an upgrade! The rooms are in disrepair. Our first room had no warm water. Our second room had broken fixtures and the maintenance crew was angry about being called to fix things and when he did come to make repairs they were not done properly. The maintenance and security staff were RUDE beyond belief! They started moving furniture, making repairs, yelling and throwing things outside our room at 7:00 am on Sunday morning. The only thing nice about the place is the front desk staff and MOD.
Terrible service terrible environmental practices

You can tell this place was once a great resort but that was in the past before they changed administration. They are operating on a skeleton staff and the little staff they do have clearly has not been taught any standards. There was an old shoe underneath the bed, who knows when they last cleaned it, there were hairballs in the shower. Good luck trying to reach room service or reception or bellhops the phones are clearly not staffed. The food is mediocre if you happen to find the restaurant operating. Room service takes over an hour and they bring it plastic and styrofoam when they are right next to the ocean and there in not a trash management operation on the area. Shameless with their prices you would expect with the amount they charge it would be at least decent but not this degree of terrible
Best bay beach in Nopolo but...
JosephinePauline (Bonsall, California) on Jan 05, 2024
The best part is the beach, view from the hotel, walking thru the village and they had bikes you could use.The worst is all the outside walls are covered in aged leaf and plant material growing all over the building and patio covers.Because of this the room smells musty and the terrace patios are dirty. The elevator smells of Raid , saw a few cockroach in the bathroom. The food is horrible, really bad ,don't order hash browns or Pico de gallo and the staff are nice enough but the service was bad.The Catco restaurant served the worst breakfast ever. and the buffet was nothing to write home about. I was there for a week, My room had no blankets and when I asked for a few a security guard brought up a wrinkled comforter that was to big for the bed and totally wrinkled like it had been stuffed in a closet. The beds are basic box springs on the floor and the bed skirts hang on the floor. But the mattress was comfortable. I use an ULTRA violet light in hotels and when I asked for a few clean pillowcases 2 had lipstick stains on them,.the sheets were not the best and the blankets had hair on them. The staff seemed uninspired. The grounds around the perimeter need major maintenance as well the stairwells. I don't think they have enough staff to maintain the building. It truly is shameful that this historic hotel with the best snorkel and swim beach is in need of some major love or money thrown into the mix.The security is good there are safes in the room. They do not have washcloths in the room and the cabinets are difficult to close and the knob came off the closet door when I opened the closet. The floors, at least mine were original thick tiles that looked as if they have not been mopped in over 20+ years. The ceiling fan had an layer of grime and dust it it made my asthma really difficult to breathe, I did report it and someone came by with a ladder while I was gone and did an okay job on getting most of the grime off. Watch your step when walking around ,lots of broken concrete and holes. The pool bar restaurant needs a manager. If it were me I would do the number thing and have guest place there orders and pick them up themselves rather than the bus boys/bartender trying to serve the food.I ordered some ice and the bartender took a glass yes a glass to scoop out the ice,not an metal handled scoop.I have worked in food service and its a big no no to scoop up ice with glass as it could easily cause the glass to break and then well, you know. Beside that he has his fingers in the ice as well.and is eating food while working, putting food in his mouth and then not washing his hands. I would only go back if I were to be guaranteed a clean room with clean sheets and housekeeping daily.Oh yea, the housekeeper left her dirty cleaning rag on my night stand.I can only imagine that the covid years really took a toll on this place. I did not golf but the course has specular views and is well maintained
Great Taxi Driver!!!

We didn’t stay here, but we did visit this hotel to go to the beach. It’s very beautiful and the water is great. This review is mainly for the taxi driver that took us here from downtown. He was very kind and was nice enough to wait for us to enjoy the beach and then head back to the cruise dock. His name is Rigo and his taxi number is 41. If you ever want to go anywhere in Loreto during your day off the ship, ask for Rigo! His knowledge of Loreto is very valuable to any tourist.
