My husband and I stayed here for the second half of our honeymoon trip. Being all-inclusive was great. The food options were pretty good- you can also get room service 24/7 (the room service is the only thing that wasn’t that great when it came to the food) but you can also have drinks delivered as well! The resort was kept beautifully clean as well as the rooms. They have an awesome shuttle that comes and picks you up whenever needed to take you to the main area in the resort. We always called and asked for the shuttle, and they were always very fast! The longest we waited was 5 minutes and that was around 1am so we assumed they just didn’t have as many shuttles running. Overall we loved it!

    Fabulous resort and staff!

The room and grounds were immaculate, but the staff really made our stay wonderful. We had issues with flights and luggage and they went out of their way to assist with our needs - especially Julio and the concierges. The entertainment staff (Merari, Carlos, Katherin, Kervin and many others) always remembered our names and likes and made every moment of every day fun. The bar staff (Jose, Gary, Henry) recommended great drinks based on our likes and never disappointed. I wish I could remember all of their names as well as they remembered ours. We will certainly return in the near future!

The resort is approximately 20 minutes from the airport and an easy ride, no bumps or bad roads. Upon arriving at the resort, we didnt have the warmest greeting. The young lady didnt smile, gave us the minimum amount of information about the resort and said to come back at 3pm. So we hopped on a bus and went to the main area. We returned at 3pm and was shuttled to out room. The room was very nice and spacious! King bed, large shower and a partial view of the bay. Keep in mind that the resort is on a hill side and the roads and bungalows are on all different elevations. Meaning, if you want to walk the grounds you should be in decent shape, otherwise, the shuttles are always available to take to to your room, spa area or main lobby. And don't complain about walking the grounds since research of the resort on Trip Advisor with all of the available reviews provides insight into the grounds. The rooms are equipped with wifi, a tablet to order any service available and a phone to get the shuttle and requests things needed immediately. Ask for bug spray and the maid service will bring it immediately.  The main pool area has most of the restaurants and all of the activities. I'll refrain from reviewing each restaurant as other Trip Advisor reviewers. There are too many conflicting reviews. Keep in mind this isn't a 5-Star, Top 5 in the world resort so food will always be hit and miss. By the beach.... You can snorkel, paddle board, swim and relax. They have jet skis to rent for either 30 or 60 minutes. We did 60 minutes and it was nice to see the expanse of the entire bay area. If you take an excursion, most places will pick you up right at the beach. I went scuba diving with Deep Blue Diving @DeepBlueDiving and they came right to shore to get me. You can also get to the more private/quiet pool (by the spa) by walking on the beach. After about 3 - 4 PM when high tide starts, the path is gone. Main pool area.... The entertainment staff are great! Merari is awesome and always full of energy and smiling. In this heat, that's no easy task! Arturo is the best waiter and always attentive and super nice! All of the bartenders are nice and willing to make any drink. Spin the wheel and name a liquor you want and they will create a concoction.  Overall, we enjoyed the resort and like the older character is offers.

Overall this is a nice resort. If you're planning on going to Costa Rica, know that April is the hottest time of the year so the pools here were too warm and the heat was stifling. Being in the bay was the only way to stay cool. The staff are great and truly want everyone to have a great time.

We just returned from this resort last night. We stayed at Secrets The Vine in Cancun recently and were impressed so we were decided to try another. The staff was absolutely amazing. Christopher (bartender in the Preferred club) and David were two favorites. Johnnie (manager at Seaside Grill) was absolutely fabulous. He helped us set up a dinner after he helped us pick out a bottle of wine to purchase-this was by far the BEST meal we had at the resort (and the best wine.) I would have expected to spend over $250 for this meal in the US and not regretted it a bit. Both the Japanese restaurant and Portofino were very good. We did do the “romantic” wine cellar dinner with wine pairings at the Portofino restaurant but were pretty disappointed by most courses and the wine pairing. I do wish the room service menu was a bit more extensive. Aqua was the best for lunch, especially if you wanted something lighter. I am not a fan of buffets so we did not go there. The resort is extremely spread out so there are shuttles to assist. We did get a room with a plunge pool which was very nice but fairly difficult to reach. We typically go to 2 or 3 resorts a year along with other types of vacations. This was a very pleasant place in a beautiful country. The staff really wanted to make everyone happy. Along with all the amazing excursions available in CR I would definitely recommend this resort. Take OFF-I have never had so many mosquito bites
