    Just got back from this hotel, we stayed in October. Overall we came back with only good memories. We had a couple of issues, but we tried to ignore them no to spoil our vacation. I guess most people looking into the issues of the hotel, so here it is: 1. We have arrived around 10pm, hotel had some snacks at the bar to eat, which would work for us, however we were recommended a room service. Ordered and waited in the room an hour, nothing happened, so went to pick those snacks. Not a big deal but I think has to be better for hotel at that price. 2. Rooms are nice but need some small things to fix, like hatch on a balcony door, I just wanted to get a screwdriver and fix it myself. Again not a problem but for such hotel I think it should be all fixed before guests arrive. Tiles on the bath floor are a bit old. 3. Internet, is a big problem, absolutely no way of catching a signal in our room. Netflix and youtube are blocked. Personally I had no issues at work so I did not really needed that much of it in the room, but if I was with the kids or had to work, that would be a no go for me in the future. Fix it guys this should be nothing for the hotel. 4. Many people left reviews of the drainage on the beach with the smell. Yes it was on the side of the beach and I guess that was temporary because by the time we left it was gone. Also it was in the other side of the beach, so not a big deal just ignore it. 5. Native people who leave there were just driving us crazy at the beginning, from offering weed to offering to buy some gifts. But I guess that is how life is in Jamaica, and probably this happens everywhere there. Just say you dont smoke to the guys who sells weed, so they wont bother you again, otherwise they will be looking for you every morning. There was police patrol couple of times, so they make those guys disappear for the whole day but next day there are there again. Again not an hotel issue, but I guess they can deal with it better. 6. Coral Reef. There is a human made coral reef on the beach, which is really great! But hotel has absolutely no sign of it anywhere, nobody even told us about it from stuff but one of the hotel guests. I find out about it the day before we have to leave. The thing is, this reef is what makes me come back to this hotel again, the rest is nothing compare to it. At least for me. The rest guys: Food is awesome, restaurants are awesome, stuff is super friendly, rooms are clean. Beach and ocean are amazing. Hotel inside is really beautiful. The shows are happening a bit late for us, so we could never make it but its just us. Hotel makes one time a week beach dinner for all the guest, what to say it was amazing.

    I have visited Iberostar Grand for the last 6 years. Ibhave tried other resorts and will NEVER leave and try another. The service is amazing. The food is like no other and the Butler service I'm just in love with. The grounds are clean the rooms are spotless...I would say I could buy stock in this resort. Lol

    This was an amazing trip. As soon as we stepped off the bus, we were welcomed with open arms. The cold hand towel they give you as soon as you arrive was refreshing as well as the cocktail :-) We were greeted by Patricia at the front desk who was so pleasurable. then we met Amoya (concierge) who had us laughing as she confirmed our restaurant reservations and provided us with our resort $$. Please know the Surf and Turf, Japanese, and Gourmet restaurants were FAB. As we waited for our room, we ate at the restaurant by the beach which was amazing. Our room was ready before 3pm which was a plus. Our butler, James was TOP NOTCH. He definitely went above and beyond for us throughout our stay. The PILLOW MENU is a must try. Darien our evening butler made sure we had everything we needed as well. The entertainment team who kept us going, Lisa, Smiley, and Vanessa are awesome. They can really entertain. It wasn't as crowded so beds were always available on the beach as well as by the pool. If you want poolside seats, get there early. I have nothing but GREAT THINGS to stay about the resort. NOT ONE COMPLAINT. I'll be planning my next vacation soon and I want JAMES an DARIEN as my butlers again.

    Overall we had a great stay ! We came to celebrate my mom's birthday. Guest relations helped made our birthday dinner night enjoyable! Lets start with the minor disappointments. The food was phenomenal at all of the restaurants except for room service .We had Butler service because we were told that the buffet don't always serve oxtails ( my mom's favorite food) . So with this service, we can request it daily. We did, but it was only delivered once , and it was HORRIBLE!! Firstly, there was a white thick "sauce" never in my life have I seen oxtails white! My mom was curious, so she tasted it to see if it was something new. It wasn't, it was just filled with cornstarch! After that experience, we wasn't too upset that they didn't deliver it the next day.. But still not having it delivered, or an apology would of been nice. Then there was a DISGUSTING smell to the right side of the beach. While I was walking I observed that they had a yellow tape near the sand, and on the sand there was water (white in color ) and the smell clearly was coming from there, because the smell got worse when you stood next to it.. Thank goodness you couldn't smell it at the left side of the beach. Besides the disgusting smell and one bad tasting food , we had an AMAZING time!! And most of all my mom enjoyed her trip! We had PHENOMENAL service from our waiter and waitress Yanique( spelt it wrong) and Oushane! They went above and beyond to make sure that our stay was enjoyable!!! The food at the buffet was tasty and also at Port Maria . We'll definitely be coming back! Other than the minor things, I give the hotel five stars!!!

    I had read a lot of reviews before choosing this resort. And had looked closely at reviews of solo travelers. Room was not available when I arrived, which was expected. So I changed and headed to the pool. I did have a couple of hiccups meeting butler etc the first night. I now know to make sure that they know if I am in my room....I am out on the balcony and won't hear them knocking. If I am not in my room, I am likely at the pool. Once that was squared away, I was checked on periodically each day. By the 3rd day..... I had ice within 30 minutes of returning to my room.:-) Yes they will bring you a bottle of vodka, or rum or anything normal. Frangelico was another story. It became a scavenger hunt to get that for my room. So... I tried something else. I had a super waitress at the pool, and i asked her if she could just put me some in a water bottle. I didn't need a whole bottle as i use it as a mixer. She was able to make it happen! One butler was able to get a partial bottle, and I was good for the rest of the trip. I did have 2 nights when there was maintenance going on that was annoying while trying to enjoy my balcony. I realize these things have to be done to keep a place so beautiful. I only wish to have been told ahead of time so I could choose to do something else if I wanted to. My last night was perfect for me. There was a buffet and party on the beach. And I was able to enjoy it all from my balcony. Wonder if anyone noticed me singing and dancing with them from afar? I was very determined to do nothing but relax and get some sun and rest. They idea of getting dressed and going out every night was not for this time. I literally did not do anything that required actual clothes. (still over packed) Ha Room service had a nice selection and was prompt and very good! I will forget some but my favorite staff were Antonio, Alestir? hope I spelled that right, Jobian, Donovan, Keon. I never caught my turn down housekeepers name.. But honestly...everyone was very kind and friendly. This is not a new hotel. There are signs of wear here and there, but it is beautiful and well maintained. I will not tell room # as i will want to have it available for my return. And i will return!
